It was a delicious scent of crushed red petals mixed with expensive white wine. A scent that invaded his dreams night after night. Chapter 12: A Change Of Plans?.. Hehe

Tsuki's POV

I could still feel the passionate kiss that I had just shared with the sexy stranger on my lips. I felt exhilarated, such an odd sensation to experience, but it was a breath taking kiss nonetheless. I had never done anything like that before. I could feel a smile tugging at my lips. Instantly, I remembered why I was here in the first place. And that smile slowly turned into a frown. I scolded myself for being so easily distracted.

I saw Keenan's office come into my focal point so I left the mixed feelings I was having at the door. I knocked on the door before entering. Immediately his face lifted into a smile when he saw me. I smiled a little at that, glad to see that I was on his good side. I rarely ever was. He walked over towards me and engulfed me into a bear kind of hug. He always smelt delicious. A smell I had grown to love. He kissed the top of my head and pulled back a little to search my eyes knowingly. He'd said in the past that my eyes always told him the truth.

I didn't want him to be disappointed in me. Sometimes, I got the feeling that I wasn't good enough for him. "All was well?" he questioned. I nodded my head, not trusting myself with words. He gave me a smile that made me wetter than River Nile. Gosh. "You're my favorite girl," he declared. I don't know why, but those words sounded like the best thing I had ever heard. I know, I was such a pathetic mess.

He pulled me closer towards him and swallowed my lips with a big kiss. It wasn't nearly as steamy as the one I had gotten in the elevator, but it was good enough for me. As long as he was happy, that was all that mattered.

He pulled back a little and tucked a lock of hair behind my ear. No matter how many times he did that, it still sent shivers throughout my entire body. I was a simp for this man. I wondered if he knew just how much I loved him? Probably not.

I decided to tune in to what he was saying, since his mouth was moving. "You have two weeks," he went on, "please don't disappoint me. And please, try to fill me in everyday, after all, you are my intern," he finished with a wink. Two weeks in close proximity to him sounded like heaven. I mustn't.. couldn't mess this up.

I gave him my promise and scurried through the door in search of.. Sunn?

It wasn't long before our eyes locked again.

True to her nature, she followed me to the break room.

I was making coffee when she sneaked up behind me. She had an annoyingly sweet aura. Once more, I reminded myself of why I was here. Sadly, it was not for her. "Hi," she breathed, pulling a snack out of the pantry. "Hi, yourself," I replied automatically. I couldn't stop myself from smiling when she smiled. Gosh. Something about this girl wasn't making me think straight. (Haha. Get it? Straight?)

I bit my lip. "Umm, do you know where Reid Javernick is?" I saw something flash across her face but before I could pick up on it, she changed it to a smile. "Yeah, sure. Once you turn the corridor, take two rights and a left and you'll be there."

I thanked her and went on my way, discarding the coffee into a nearby bin. From what Keenan had told me, I knew Reid wasn't going to be an easy target. But whatever. Keenan wanted it done, so consider it completed.

I followed Sunn's directions and sure enough I saw his secretary. She glanced at me, wearily. "Yes?" she asked in a bored tone. "Hi, I'm here to see Mr. Javernick. I'm Keenan's new intern and I wanted to introduce myself to him," I replied in a big breath.

"Lemme see if he's busy."

I watched as she picked up the cordless phone and spoke into it. Five minutes later she gave me the approval to enter his office.

I braced myself not knowing what to fully expect. I knocked and his booming voice bade me to enter.

Holy smokes.

This guy was hot. In every sense of the word. The tailored suit he wore clung to him like a second pair of skin. He resembled something like off of a Mills & Boon book cover. Yes, he was that good looking. And yes, I was a coveted book need.

I must have stood there gaping at him because he wore this annoyed look on his face. Yikes. I couldn't mess this up, I thought as Keenan's words flashed across my mind. Immediately I switched on the role of sensual Tsuki. You can do this, I said to myself for added courage.

Alright. You can't do this. This wasn't going to be an easy task, I conceded after some time. This man was not falling for any of my usual slutty tricks. If anything he looked more annoyed than ever. This wasn't going well.

"Tsuki, is it?"

He spoke my name and it sounded like poetry. I nodded my head. "That's it."

"You've already introduced yourself and also embarrassed yourself, might I also add. So, will you please? I have things to do." He motioned for me to leave.

And feeling like a dog who had just lost a juicy bone I left his office feeling dejected.

Crap. That hadn't gone according to plan.

Keenan was sure to lash out at me if he knew how badly I had just fumbled the bag. I needed to prove to him why I was his favorite girl.

All throughout the day, I tried (desperately, might I include) to seduce Reid. And the only thing that I was able to get out of him was a scowl and some more sarcastic comments. Welp. Either I was really rusty or the guy was immune to my flirtatious ways. To make myself feel better, I decided on the latter.

Soon the time trickled down to five p.m.

I was ready to go home and start again tomorrow, stronger and better; when I bumped into Sunn at the elevator. A blush crept up my neck and somewhere else when I remembered what had happened earlier. How coincidental too, that we were the only ones waiting at the metal doors.

I gave her a shy smile. The elevator doors dinged open.

And it was deja vu all over again when I felt her lips crush my hungry ones. To hell with Keenan and his plan I thought, as I devoured Sunn's lips greedily.
