Missing him

Alexia woke up on a cold empty bed. She really missed him. She heard the door open and she jerked up into a sitting position. She was disappointed again when she saw Dayna and Elsa at the door.

She sighed "Morning"

The maids greeted "Morning, my lady"

Dayna took notice and asked "My lady, sorry to pry but what's wrong? You look sad" she noticed her lady's face since she walked in. She looked lifeless.

Alexia took a deep breath and explained everything that happened. Elsa nodded "My lady, you will have to pacify him. He might come back tonight" she faintly advised. Alexia had her bath and went to the dining area. It felt empty again. She walked back to her room sighing heavily. She decided she was going to wait till he came back. It became night time earlier than she expected. Just as she was about to give up and go to bed, the door opened and Ivan walked in. Alexia eagerly stood up from the bed and tried to talk "Ivan...I...."

He just brushed past her and walked to the bed side. He was ignoring her. She walked up to him "Ivan...I am sorry. Just listen to me" she tried to explain.

Ivan sighed "Alexia, let me guess, you figured out the truth. You see that's the problem. I know our marriage is still new but you have to trust me a little. You telling me that you don't mind who I am with means you don't care about me. You have to have a little trust in me. You can't jump to conclusions only by what you see".

Alexia burst into tears "I know Ivan and I am sorry. I should have been calm and rational when I was speaking and I do care. I care a lot" she wanted to tell him she was afraid of liking him. She just got rejected by someone and she felt it wasn't right for her to just start liking Ivan. Would that mean she didn't like James enough? She could only say she cared for now.

Ivan was stressed "Alexia, I get it but.." he was cut off. Alexia tiptoed and shut him up with a kiss. She had deliberated on whether she would do it in the afternoon and she decided she would do it.

Ivan's legs hit the bedside and he fell on the bed with Alexia on top of him. Alexia was about to stand up but Ivan put his hand around her waist and captured her lips in a ferocious kiss. He flipped Alexia and they switched positions. He released her lips to give her some air before capturing her lips again. He kissed her with force as if he was venting all his anger about her not trusting him. He was about to lose it and go further when he felt her small hands on his chest struggling. He hesitatingly stood up and walked into the bathroom. He closed the door and rested on it. In all his life, he had never lost control over a woman. He knew that if he hadn't felt her struggling, he would have continued. He felt like a starved beast back in there. He couldn't lose his self control like that again.

Back in the room, Alexia felt her face flush. She didn't expect Ivan to kiss her back with that much intensity. She felt her heart beating so fast when she thought of the kiss. She touched her lips and blushed again "Why is my heart beating as fast as this?" she asked herself wonderingly

The door to the bathroom opened and Ivan walked out. He walked to the bed and lay down "Aren't you sleeping" he asked.

Alexia nodded repeatedly "Yes, yes. I am going to sleep now. She lay on the bed and squealed loudly when Ivan pulled her to his side again and hugged her waist. She made herself comfortable by moving around a little.

Ivan groaned "Alexia stop moving around" he was really going to do something to her if she moved around like that.

She nodded obediently "I won't. Ivan, where were you and why didn't you come to our room for two nights? I felt lonely" she pouted as she complained.

Ivan chuckled "I was in another room in the palace and I'm sorry I was angry at you". Alexia continued complaining "You didn't eat with me too. I couldn't stomach the food".

Ivan nodded "We will eat together tomorrow, alright? But I am afraid I will not be around for a week. I have business to attend to and it will take at least a week or more but since I know someone is waiting for me here, I will try my best to return within a week".

Alexia remembered something "Has princess Daffany left? I didn't see any sign of her today". she remembered what Daffany did and she couldn't help but feel sour at being easily tricked like that. She would learn to trust her husband in the future.

"I told her to leave yesterday morning. Any problem?" he said faintly. He didn't want problems to arise between them again so he said "In the future, learn to trust me okay. It affects me when I have a fight with you" he felt hurt in the past two days and he couldn't concentrate on anything. Who knew having a fight with her would affect him like that.

She shook her head "I was just asking since I saw her the day before yesterday talking to someone about what happened" she felt ashamed. If she didn't listen in on Daffany's conversation, she would still be feeling wronged.

"Don't feel guilty" he patted her head "It's not your fault that you didn't know what she was planning. At least now, if we have a misunderstanding again, you would ask me first before jumping to conclusions".

"You make it sound like I'm unreasonable" she complained. She was not going to take the whole blame. If he looked at it from her side, he would also feel angry if he saw another man kissing her, right?

Ivan laughed "Sleep. You have to have enough strength tomorrow". Alexia nodded and yawned. It seemed as if there was magic in his voice because she fell asleep right after. Ivan looked at his wife in contentment and closed his eyes.
