Arlott took out a strange pitch-black crystal ball with eccentric, dark gold and purple patterns from his storage ring.
This was something that Laverna had created for Arlott by expending a tiny bit of her cosmic powers.
"What is that?" Luna asked.
"It's a dimension tear maker or, in our words, a dimension door maker, but a very specific one with a specific address," Arlott said as he infused Mana into the orb and buried it into the ground.
Luna and Iris were already shocked enough, but this still threw them off the loop. How was Arlott showing and doing things that they hadn't even heard of?
"At this point, I won't get any more shocked," Iris wryly smiled.
"Same," Luna mumbled. "But why are you creating a dimension door? What will come out of it?"
Arlott stood up after he properly buried the orb and turned to the girls while dusting off his hands.
"This orb will create a dimension door for up to ten minutes when I return here later and activate it. The dimension tear will be connected to a realm filled with powerful beasts with powerful Genelines and Bloodlines. They are also highly intelligent."
"How powerful?" Iris curiously asked.
"And how intelligent?" Luna's asked before she squinted her eyes. "Are those like the mysterious talking wingless dragon that appeared in Kunlun Mountain Range in the Azia Continent?
'Don't know if I should tell them the truth,' Arlott wryly smiled.
[Just tell them. It will be their last shock of today.]
"Well, ahem, yeah. Something like that dragon, Luna. They'll be more powerful than Elite-class mages and as strong as Master-class mages."
"What?!"
Luna and Iris were so shocked their jaws dropped to the ground!
Arlott chuckled. "Let's return. I'll tell you why I am doing this on the way."
"B-But won't everyone be in danger if such powerful beasts appeared?"
"Relax. Come, I'll explain everything on the way."
Arlott laughed.
...
Elite-class mages have up to 100,000 Arcane Force, but Master-class mages were the most powerful front force of humans. The top 100 were Master-class mages having more than 100,000 Arcane Force, but breaking 100,000 and reaching 100,001 was no easy feat.
With up to 100,000 Arcane Force, people could train, eat resources, consolidate their Arcane Core, and continue making it stronger gradually without breaking it as long as they progressed carefully.
If someone progressed too fast by feeding their Arcane Core tons of resources to increase their Arcane Force and Mana limit, they must also consolidate their Arcane Core to prevent it from breaking.
If one failed to consolidate their Arcane Core properly, It could break or crack, which would result in the significant loss of their Arcane Force or permanent crippling.
There were expensive methods to repair and create a new Arcane Core in one, but the costs to achieve that were high, and the process was almost impossible to complete unless one had a backing like the top ten ancient clans.
In short, if one suddenly increased their Arcane force by 500 by eating some resources, they would need to spend a total of 500,000 mana into their Arcane Core to consolidate it before increasing their Arcane Force again.
The reason was simple.
An Arcane core was a source of one's Arcane Force, and it also decided the limit of their Mana Pool.
Mana was the same in the mana pool for everyone, but before Mana go into one's Arcane Zone for weaving spells or elements, the Mana would automatically pass through one's Arcane Core, and Arcane Core would increase that Mana's potency according to Arcane Core's Arcane Force.
A 100-mana fireball of a peak 1st class mage having 10,000 Arcane Force was obviously weaker than a 100-mana fireball of a peak 2nd class mage who had 20,000 Arcane Force.
So Mana was the same, but it would change depending on Arcane Core's Arcane Force. If Arcane Core received a sudden spike in Arcane Force by feeding it some external resources, it would become unstable and would need a lot of Mana to pass through it so it could "exercise/consolidate" and become stable.
If it was not consolidated properly, then it would crack if it was exerted more during a fight or given another boost.
Arlott increased his Arcane Force by only 1000 every year by drinking milk only, but it was actually slow compared to the methods of top clans and other geniuses who were nurtured strongly.
In his past life, Arlott had increased his Arcane Force by 5000 in his first two years of training by eating lots of resources he got from the so-called elders and sages, but he also trained hard every day to consolidate his Arcane Core.
But the main method to acquire Arcane Force naturally and stably was practicing Arcane Arts.
However, the concept of Arcane Art was only available to Arlott because this world that was rich with magic and resources never attempted to create a method to nurture one's magic core with pure atmospheric energy that contained everything.
People of this world absorbed powers from natural resources like magic plants, fruits, flowers, fauna, cores of minions, resources coming from other dimensions, and most common, Arcane stones that contained Arcane Force.
This world depended on acquiring more and more exotic resources to increase one's power and had methods to proficiently absorb such powers from resources.
But there was another way that many of other worlds used, which was Arcane Arts.
Laverna had traveled to various worlds and had a vast amount of knowledge, so she had also told some basic things to Arlott.
She had also given him an Arcane Art, but until reaching 100,000 Soul Force, Arlott was focused on practicing his Soul Art to progress in Soul Path.
However, he had made some progress in his Genome Tree by practicing a Geno Art called Vigor Grinder Art, which was why his physical strength was higher than his Arcane Force.
