Chapter 3: A friend I guess
"Hey, do you need something Sammy" Shirumi asked in a modest tone of voice "well yes I do" she said in a slight worried tone "can you help me with something please?" she asked "help you with what" Shirumi answered "well you see I never got all the notes in the IT could you please lend me your book so I can write them" she said in a seemingly polite and questioning voice Shirumi looked the girl up and down mental and then with a stern face said "No I can not do that right now for I am going to use my book to do my homework" Sammy looked at her with pleading eye "please I beg of you" the girl said but Shirumi only replied with a no, but Sammy was not giving up so easy she was being persistent and was getting really annoying Shirumi then said "Hey look isn't that your friend she was in the class maybe she can give you the notes" before the Sammy could say anything Shirumi had sped of to her class leaving the girl behind if there is one thing about Shirumi it is that she doesn't like to share her notes with anyone, her mom had told her not to give anyone her book in fear that people who hate her would curse her or wish bad upon her so her mother warned her not to take the people around her to likely and that she mustn't always lend her stuff to people or borrow thing from people.
Her mother had once said to her "Shirumi some people will see how much great thing you get just for working hard, but they do not want to work hard to get it" her mom said "so they will try to wish bad or cal bad things onto you" she continued in a low yet serious tone of voice as she held a stern look on her face while looking into Shirumi eyes to find a hint of understanding to what she is saying and how serious she was Shirumi only nodded her head in agreement as she said "okay mother I will keep that in mind always, mom" she said in a reassuring tone, the way she said it made her mother think that she doesn't care but she only heaved a sigh as she gently placed her hand on her head and gave her a little pat "please be careful this world is not a safe place" she said in a worried voice "I will mother" back to the present Shirumi is in her class having her lunch. She was enjoying her lunch while reading a book she just had chapter fifteen of her book when someone had tapped her on the shoulder "what book is that" a male voice asked Shirumi turned her head to see its was Xie Juan "oh hello Xie, this book's name is My Distant Lover author Miss. Dorcell I love her books" Shirumi said with a little smile on her face.
"You read her books too! What season book are you at?" Xie asked with surprised that anyone else actually likes the novels that he liked because of the no one in the whole school had ever hear or known anything about the author because no one really cared about the novels and stories that were being written now. "oh yeah she is my favorite author I love the novels that she writes they are all worth buying and reading" Shirumi said in a cheerful voice "I am at chapter thirteen in her season three novel" she continued as she showed the book to him with enthusiasm. "That's great I am actually there too" he said as his lips curled into a small smile "do you want to read the book with me then" she asked with a little spark glistening in her eyes "you would want me to read with you?" he asked shocked that someone actually want to read the book with him "yeah why not, we both love the same book and we are both at the same chapter anyway" she continued "that true and besides I don't really have anything else to do" He then took seat beside her and began to read the book with her.
