Chapter 28: Tension

AMANDA’S POV:

Ugg. It figures the maid would come to get us for dinner. Just when I was going to ask Antonio some questions about his past life. I’m just curious as to what his life was like growing up, his college years, how many girlfriends he had, and how he treated them.

He knows all about mine, so why can’t I know about him? So, instead, we will go eat our dinner, I’ll ask him another time. It’s not that important, but I’d like to know.

As we sit here at the diner table, something just seems off with Antonio. I’m not sure what it could be, but he’s being quiet. Thought to myself, “should I ask him what’s wrong? I’m hoping it’s not about that Devin dude.”

“Ahh. I’m just going to forget about it and just try to make this night better for him.”

“Antonio, what do you want to do after dinner?” I asked.

“Well, I’m not sure. Let’s finish eating first.” Antonio replied.
