SELF - HARM

dear reader, i know how you feel

i feel your soul crack. i hear the screams and the loud crys in your brain. i hear you beg for the pain to leave your body and release your mind. i know what you are going through is too much to bear right now.

i see you lying on the bed at night like a dead body, distraught, inconsable, unable to breath. you are nauseous from crying and your head pounds from trying to figure out how an emotion can make you feel helpless. 

you pick up the blade.control. At least this, you can control. you bring the blade to your wrist and you rip through the skin. you feel a weird relief as if this is heaven the pain is your everything .

but...

think about the consciences, the cut leaves marks, the marks are permanent and this never heals anything.

i see you hiding your fresh wounds underneath baggy clothes and thick wristbands but its no use .

i see you fleeing into the pub ordering the hardest liquor, something you know will make you numb the pain inside 

i know you desperately want to survive this, the feeling of guilt and shame about harm you inflict on yourself are a cry for help.

i want to help you 

i want to be there when you are ready to numb the pain

ready to hold my hand 

so i can lead you through this without your ever having hut yourself again.

it wont happen overnight, its not a miracle but slowly and smoothly we can get out of this and feel happy again
