Marriage contract

Summer quickly drives to sweet garden, as she is already 8 minutes late for her dinner plan with Xavier. "Reservation for Mr Xavier Knight?" Summer inquired from the receptionist, and she directs Summer to where Xavier was seated. "Thank you," She said to the receptionist, smiling.

"Is it a habit for you to be late for every meeting,?"Xavier asked Summer, looking furious. " I'm deeply sorry Xavier, I lost track of time," Summer apologized.

Xavier ignores her apology and said," Let's get down to the business of the day." " Okay", Summer replied. Then she sat down and ordered a glass of wine.

"Miss Dean, I know the little game you played with my sister to get me to marry you, so am here to offer you a deal," Xavier said. " A deal?" Summer asked, looking surprised.

"Yes, Miss Dean," Xavier said. "Okay shoot am all ears", Summer said.

"I have agreed to marry you but on the condition that we will get divorced after one year if I don't feel the same way for you", Xavier explained.

Summer looked at him and said," What makes you think that the divorce will happen?". " Miss Dean, are you signing the contract or not?", Xavier asked.

"I will sign, Summer replied. With that Xavier brought out the contract and gave a copy to Summer.

* Content of the Marriage Contract.

# This marriage contract is made between "Mr Xavier Knight and Miss Summer Dean". This contract being on 20th Nov 2004 and will last until 20th Nov 2005, if Mr. Xavier Knight doesn't fall in love with Miss Summer Dean.

# Miss Summer Dean has agreed not to get into trouble or appear in any News Headline during the period of this marriage.

# Each party has had the opportunity to retain his or her lawyer and receive independent legal advice regarding the terms of this agreement.

# After the divorce, Miss Summer Dean is to receive 10 million dollars as a settlement.

# Both parties have agreed to register their marriage 2 days after the contract is signed.

After reading the marriage contract, Summer asked " Will you fulfil your duties as a husband?". " Yes! I would devote myself fully during this contract just to prove you all wrong. But Miss Dean, you are not allowed to force yourself on me, if I'm to fulfil my duties as your husband it should be on my will," Xavier answered.

Summer thought to herself while signing the contract" Watch out Xavier, you will be mine before the contract ends". " Okay I have signed the contract, what's next?", Summer asked.

"Get ready, we will go to the registry to register our marriage in two days," Xavier said. "Why registry?" Summer asked. "Sorry Miss Dean, there will be no wedding of any sort. I have an image to protect, and I don't need a messy divorce when the contract ends. But if at all we are still together after one year, then we will have our wedding," Xavier explained.

"I have no problem with that, Summer said. " Okay, Miss Dean, that will be all, do have a good night's rest," Xavier said while getting up.

After he left, Summer smiled and said, "Finally, Xavier Knight Is mine".
