Yeah, magic is cool

After all the kids were sorted only Cedric and some randoms joined him at hufflepuff table. (Humm so the hat does not send you somewhere just because you want it. This can be clearly seen by the extremely disappointed face of Angelina. She has been sending teary, puppy eyes my way since her sorting.)

(What are the deciding points? Hat must know more than it let me know. Well there is nothing i can do really. Lets just hope he is no snitch. For his own good.)

(Hmm, there are teachers i don´t know besides the well known. One of those 2 guys is probably DADA teacher. R.I.P.) (And those 3 woman are rune, arithmatic and astronomy teachers. Not much to look at. Shame.)

As me and Cedric were getting acquaintanced with our housemates, we saw Dumbledore stand up. "Welcome to school... bla...bla... don´t go into the forest. There are a lot of dangers that could cost you your life." After boring welcoming speech and a warning from Dumbles we could finally start to eat.

(Thank god we did not had to sing. This means that this is more of an movie universe than a books one. I have still not seen that poltergeist so it seems likely. But i am not gonna jump to conclusions, it is still too early for that.)

(Also why is there so many grils around us?) Luke again focused on his surroundings and realized that he and Cedric were surrounded from all sides. (Poor Cedric does not even realize the danger. I have to protect him.)

Luke suddenly became much more active in conversation, pulling a big ammount of high pitched gigles his way. (Yes i must sacrifice myself for Cedric´s innocence. Ulterior motives? *slap* Be gone heathen.)

(Humm but what is this feeling of dread? It feels like somebody is watching me. Snape?) He turned to look at teachers table, but nobody was looking this way. (Well whatever. You can look, but if you try something i will stab you.) What Luke did not realize was that there was a very upset-looking first year looking his way from the griffindor table.

(He already forgot about me. I will...) Angelina was already thinking up plans to... Nah you will learn later. Because of her scary aura she did not made that many friends tonight. Jordan tried to make her loosen up but he gave up after a while. (Luke was right. Girls are trouble.)

Luke tried to find some people he would recognize besides teachers. He of course noticed 2 Weasleys. They were still not as open as he was used to from the movies, but he could see how giddy they were looking at all the food and people around.

But even though he was sitting at the hufflepuff´s table he could not see the most famous hufflepuff of them all. (Where is Dora? Is she not supposed to be still in school right now?)

After half an hour people started leaving and after 1 hour Dumbles spoke again. "All first years please follow the prefect of your house. They will take you to your common rooms and tell you the rules."

When it was hufflepuffs turn to leave everybody stood up and made a file of two and followed the prefect. Prefect for hufflepuff was some brown haired nobody named Kevin Grunt. He seemed really nice and started talking about the castle to the kids.

Luke was walking with Cedric, a lot of kids wanted to talk to them but the exploration of the castle took priority for now. A little behind him he heard interesting conversation.

"Why have we not seen any ghosts? My mom told me that Hogwarts is full of them." Said one of the boys. "It is good that they didn´t appear. What? No it is not because i am scared of them. Really! It is just..."

He tuned the rest out. (That is right. So ghosts exists. There are supposed to be a ton of ghosts where are they?) Luke looked at Cedric who just shaked his head.

"Before we arrive at common room i would like to show you something." Turned prefect to them and started saying in a very quiet voice. "You see becoming hufflepuff comes with some perks. Not only are we one unit fighting for and defending every one of us. We also have one secret." He continued his voice getting more mysterious the longer he was speaking. Everybody even Luke were focused on his every word.

"You see. One of our seniors, nobody knows exactly who it was, found a secret. This secret has been passed down and known to only hufflepuffs. So if i tell you about it now, you have to promise to not tell about it to anybody from different house. Do you promise?" Everybody nodded being extremely curious.

"The secret is..." He drawn out. "is." (motherfucker just spill it out.) "There is a kitchen right behind the corner." He said. Suddenly everything stopped. There was silence. But something was brewing and it was no potion.

*Swoosh*Badong* Prefect caught boot to the face. "Youuu!!" All that for some stupid kitchen" "Boot him to death!!!" Some children started taking off their shoes, some just jumped at prefect.

"Nooo!! not the face, not the face!" Those were last words of misunderstood hero. He just wanted to spread the word about a land where no child had to go hungry. "Amitabha" Said Luke looking piteous with folded hands.

;10 minutes later, inside the common room.;

"On tfhe lefhtf are boyfs andh on tfhe rightf are girlfs." Said completely healthy looking and sounding prefect. He told them that they can choose their roomate and their trunks will arrive in a few minutes after they get into the room. After telling them when to get up, so that he can show them the way to the hall for breakfest and their first class in the morning, he left.

"So you wanna be roomates?" Asked Cedric. All puffs had one roomate. (I hoped to have a room for myself. Mybe i should have just become slytherin. I bet they have the most luxurious rooms.) "Yes of course. I just hope you don´t snore. For your own good."

Cedric looked at him questioningly. "Well i had a snoring roomate once at the orphanage." Luke looked him in the eyes with a smile on his face. "They never found him. I guess he ran away. Orphanage is not for everybody." Said Luke. Then he patted Cedric on the shoulder and went to choose a room for them.

*Gulp* "Hehee good joke Luke." Said nervously laughing Cedric. He started huriedly walking after Luke. "It was a joke right?" Luke just laughed and did not answer.

;1 night later;

"Cedric get up. We will miss our guide." Said Luke shaking Cedric. Cedric stood up in a hurry still dizzy "Hoh where am i? I was not snoring! I promise!" *slap*

"Are you there?" Asked Luke after slaping him out of it. "Luke? Yes i am up... Wait did you just hit me?" Asked Cedric while holding his cheek. "Huh? What are you talking about? Did you dream something?"

"Mayb... No i can clearly still feel the pain. You slaped me." "No idea what you are talking about. Anyways look at the time we have to hurry." Said Luke geting tha fuck out of there.

"Don´t think this is over! You can´t ran away fr...*Slam*...om me." Cedric looked at the closed door in silence. *ahhaha* Then he started getting ready.

;later;

The whole way to the main hall Luke stuck to the prefect, asking him a ton of questions. "So we can eat with people from other houses?" "Yes there is no problem with that. Only at celebratory feasts we start at our table, but later you can still move around. Also all houses don´t always eat at the same time, so there is that. Don´t worry you are not the only person with friends from other houses." Explained Grunt the prefect.

After sitting at the table they noticed that only ravenclaw students were there together with them. When they all sat down Cedric confronted Luke. "Where did you thought you were gonna hide? We share a room and all the classes."

" I have no idea what you are talking about. Huumm should i have some eggs or salad for breakfest." "Luke you don´t..." "HUUUUUMMMMM" Hum intesifies. "Okay i will leave it. I was not really angry anyway. You are such a kid." Luke than turned to Cedric for the first time. "So how did you sleep? Are you looking forward to classes?" Cedric just shook his head and they continued talking and eating normaly.

;After breakfest, charm class, together with ravenclaw first years;

"Swish and flick. Everybody repeat." All students drawed with their wands in the air. "Swish and flick." Shout of all of them was heard throughout the classroom. "Bravo. In this class we will be learning ...bla....bla bla... first charm we will learn will be Wingardium Leviosa. It is bla... bla.. hover items.... bla. Now lets try it. We will see if somebody here can do it." Flitwick excitedly explained, standing on his books, swingings his arms around.

(Finally. I have been waiting for this for years.) Luke completely ignored all noise from around him. When Cedric saw his friend looking at the feather, with crazed look his mom once had when his father returned home from his 1 year long work journey, he smartly decided to leave him alone. (I don´t remember anything. Screaming and banging? What are you talking about?) Cedric also decided to focus on his feather.

Luke decided to go for it. " Wingardium Leviosa." nothing happened. After a few seconds of silence the inner monologue started. (Nooo! So this really means that i am not a prodigy at magic. All those mcs from fanfics always knowing how to do magic. Where is my I felt it because it was something new in my body i did not have before. What a bunch of fieces.)

When he looked to the left his soul left him. "You see i trained home with my father a little. Don´t worry i am sure you can do it soon enough too." Said Cedric. At first he wanted to gloat but when he saw Luke´s face he changed his mind. (Please don´t look at me with those hatefull eyes Luke. You scary.)

Luke tried a few more times, but with no results.

(Okay Luke get yourself together. Just think about it. All the other kids will do it, you can do it too. You already know the feel of magic. Just remember the pee.) "The pee... THE PEE!!" Everybody looked at him strangely. "Mr. Borec i don´t think..." Luke ignored all the noise. "Wingardium Leviosa" (I can feel it. The PEE!) The feather started floating and Luke kept pushing it higher and higher. "Ha! take that you glitering face." Said Luke to Cedric losing control of the feather.

(As if i would allow mself to be bested by some stupid vampire.)

"OHH bravo mr. Borec that is another 5 points for hufflepuff. It seems your pee method worked. Would you like to share with the rest of the class? It may help some of your clasmatess out. I would reward you more points for it." Said curious Flitwick.

(Meh. Why not. I will make better reputation like this.) Thought Luke. "Of course, gladly professor." He then started talking about his made up experience of accidental use of magic as a kid. " Well i just remembered when i was little....accidental magic... thought i needed to pee...problems... and so i tried to remember that feeling again. It helped me so it may help you."

A lot of kids realized what he was talking about. They knew that feeling. They just could not put a word to it. Most of them remember their accidental magic. Loud "THE PEE" could be heard from charms classroom. "Yes the pee kids now try again." Instructed giddy half-goblin.

;later;

Nobody else could perform the charm. "Don´t be sad kids. Not that many people in history could perform their first charm in their first class. I am sure a lot of people tried the pee method before. We will try again tomorow." Said Flitwick trying to cheer up the kids.

"Even though the method did not work it was still amazing that you thought of this mr. Borec. Here take another 10 points."

A lot of kids still thanked Luke for trying to help them and even erased him from their psycho lists. "Okay kids, mr. Grunt will show you the way to the next class follow him." Grunt opened the door while smiling. "So pee method Luke? I am sure our housemates will be interested."

Quiet "Fuck" was summary of all Luke´s thoughts at the moment.
