PoV Shift: Cobalt Stone
A soft hand brushing through the fur atop your head roused you from slumber. You blinked your eyes open slowly, and a yawn left your mouth as you stood up stretching your four limbs out.
"Morning." Ruby greeted you with a smile, already fully dressed in her huntress attire.
That's right, you had slept in Ruby's bed last night, watching some movies to go to sleep to together. You usually slept in Nora's bed, since she had a room to herself. And you'd slept in Weiss' bed twice when Xiao Long fell asleep on the couch from being too exhausted to get up to the room.
But last night was the first you'd slept in Ruby's, since Qrow was usually rooming with her.
The last week had passed in a blur really. Professor Ozpin had everyone training to the fullest extent, it reminded you of your own old training sessions actually before you bit the bullet and became a super sexy grimm.
God, how you missed this days so. There was nothing quite like the feeling of your muscles burning as you pushed yourself to your very limits. There was nothing quite like that deep seated exhaustion, when your very bones felt to heavy to lift and your body ached with fatigue. Most of the very best nights of sleep you'd ever had, only came about because you pushing your body to the very limit and practically collapsing in your bed after going at it until you couldn't any longer. If there was one to complain about with the unending physical stamina you had as a grimm, it was that.
Everyone had been so busy and then exhausted they'd had little time to do anything but eat and sleep in between. You had to admit, you were pretty jealous, you loved training yourself into the dirt. There wasn't exactly much training you could do in your current form though.
So you spent the majority of the week working on your magic and learning from Ozpin. And while it took the entire week, you'd managed to get a grasp of what he was teaching you. How to create a template of a spell, of an ability and breath magic power into it, to give it form. The same basis for how he had created the maiden powers, those bird transformations and even your shrinking ability.
You weren't going to lie. It was, such a bullshit ability to have. When you looked at it objectively, these abilities, minor as they seemed at points, like the ability to shrink, was something on par with a semblance. When you were done with this, you could more or less create abilities on par with semblances. To do so would drain your magic power, the more power needed depending on how strong the ability was, but it is still absolutely absurd regardless.
"What's up?" you asked, you looked at the clock on the bedside table, noting it was pretty damn early, "Why are you up so early?"
Ruby grinned widely, leaning down so her face was right next to yours, "I've got a few prototype weapons made from your crystal, I want to test them out and see if they're ready, then I can go on to upgrading our weapons if they are." she explained, practically hopping up and down excitedly in your face.
It did wonderous things to her bosom.
Wait, she'd gotten that far already? Where did she find the time between all her training?
Well, you weren't against it anyway. "Sure, okay." you agreed easily enough.
Ruby squealed excitedly and picked you up. You only had a moment to blink before the world blurred into rose petals around you, and a few moments later, you found yourself out in the back garden where you all usually trained.
"Wait here!" Ruby shouted, speeding off towards her forge area after she set you down, "I'm just gonna grab them!"
...Well okay then.
Right. Well this is a really short chapter. But, we've now caught up to all I've written out in advance for this. So there'll be a period of time before I start writing for it again and then start uploading in bulk once more. Not sure when I'll be doing that. I'm currently working on a few other things, but possibly soon since Volume 8 is almost finished, I've held out on watching it so I could binge the full volme at once.
