Elise

Claude was taken into a small room in the palace. The maid didn't say a single word and Claude appreciated that as he was also able to observe his surroundings.

" Allow me to help with your luggage." The maid said but Claude denied it.

" No need, you can leave. I will rest but call me if the Marquess wants my presence." Claude said while looking around the room.

" Yes, young master Claude," She finally looked at Claude clearly and blush slightly due to his charms. She quickly went out of the room after saying :-

" Please ring the bell on the study table to call me."

Claude was confused due to her behaviour but decided to ignore it as most women are already non understandable to Claude.

Claude unpacked his luggage and was just about to lay down to take a nap before the maid suddenly called out to him.

" Young master Claude, his lordship is asking for your presence."

Claude woke up and went to open the door. He was wearing his casual clothes. When the maid saw him in the attire he was in she blushed again but kept her composure by walking ahead of Claude leading him towards a certain direction.

Even though Claude would have preferred to rest he can't just say no to the Marquess and a single breath of world energy is all that he needs to recover from his sleepiness.

" Where are we going ?" Claude asked when he noticed that they were not going in the direction of the cabin.

" The training field, his lordship along with sire Alex are waiting for you." When Claude heard the training field he clearly recognized what they wanted.

' They want to see my abilities, eh...' Claude thought with a smirk.

After a five minute walk, they finally reached the training field. It was actually a small open roof walled field on the left side of the palace.

Claude entered the training field through the main gate which caused a lot of attention to be drawn on Claude. After all, Claude even though child was a lot good looking and he had this natural charisma which attracts everyone to him, especially of opposite genders.

The maid led Claude to a place where Dante and Alex could be seen standing. Alongside them there was also someone else.

She was a bit shorter than Claude with 4'9( 149.3 CM). She had crimson red coloured long wavy hair which reached her waist. She had blood ruby eyes which shined like jewels. They looked fierce as if they could penetrate everything and anything. Even though she was still just a kid Claude analysed that her breasts had already gotten the growth spurt. Her skin was fair but unlike Claude's which was fair and pale she was a little brownish. Claude noticed that even for a girl her physique was not bad.

Except for that she had a deep brown core and her limiters arrangement said that she was a sword master just like Claude.

She stared or rather glared at him with her penetrating eyes but Claude simply showed her a glance and turned away looking at other soldiers' trains. This ignorance caused the girl to become even more angry.

" Claude, sorry to disturb you when you were resting." Dante had a apolitic smile while he said.

" There's nothing to worry about, your lordship. Can I know why you called me here ?" Claude asked.

" This here is my granddaughter and the person you are going to teach. Her name is Elise." Dante said, pointing his hands towards Elise.

" Actually, she—" Before he could even complete his sentence he was interrupted by Elise's fierce voice.

" If you think you can teach me, prove it by showing your strength." She said with a snort. She drew the sword out of her sheath and was standing in a stance. Ready to attack him.

" So that's how it is." Dante said while furrowing his brows. He also knows that he spoils his granddaughter a lot but what can he do when she is the second most beautiful thing ever to happen to him.

" Hehe…." To everyone's surprise Claude chuckled. Elise's temper increased even more seeing him laugh.

Claude simply walked in front of Elise. They both stood five steps away from each other. All the soldiers stopped their training to spectate the spar between their young lady and the newbie.

" Frost "

Claude picked up a sword present in the training field and walked in front of Elise.

" Fine, let's do it." Claude said with a crazy grin which sended chills on the spine of everyone present including Dante, Alex and Elise.

Even Elise felt a bit scared of Claude; she thought that he was just bluffing. After all, even though she is born as a swordswomen in a mages family she was still able to defeat her older brothers. That's why this new face who had nothing but rumours about him annoyed her to no end.

" Lady Elise, show this stupid face how strong you are ?" A boy shouted from the spectators.

The boy was a year older than Claude. It seems like he got angry over Claude's looks. The way he looked at Elise was also a bit different. Claude recognised his eyes the same as a certain someone from his village. Yes this was the eyes of a young boy who was head over heels for a certain someone. In this case it was Elise.

' Well, I can't blame him. Even though this girl was a bit annoying she had her own charms and charisma.' Claude thought, shaking his head.

" Are both sides ready ?" Alex, who seemed to be the referee in the match, asked.

" Yes, " Elise replied, preparing her master rank technique.

" Yes, " Claude lazily replied.

" Start!!"

Elise infused mana in her legs and jumped towards Claude the instant she got the start single. She was pretty fast and she was going to just land above Claude while swinging her sword downwards.

*BOOM*

The collision of the ground and Elise's sword created a huge sound while dust spread. She was hoping for an injured Claude under the sword. But to her and everyone's surprise Claude was standing right next to her looking down on her.

Elise, frustrated, started attacking her from left and right but Claude either blocked her or dodge her. His movements were so swift that even master ranks were having a hard time keeping an eye on him.
