Izan, a Spanish-Japanese boy who lived with his mother and sister in the heart of Valencia played for the Valencia academy since he could remember. As life fucks as all, Izan found himself being laid off by his club for being talentless. Frustrated, Izan runs around his local pitch, trying to get the news off his mind. As fate would have it, Izan gets struck by lightning which gives him a system. Izan with the system embarks on a journey to becoming 'THE' god of football. Chapter 1Come on, a system

On a rainy night in Valencia, Alboraya, the sound of running could be heard on a Pitch nearby. 

There, a boy who seemed out of breath was still chasing after a ball despite looking like he could faint any minute. 

He seemed to be in a daze seemingly trying to forget something but couldn't. He was woken up by an accident that had occurred nearby. 

Finally stopping, Izan realized that if he didn't take a break, he might pass out or, worse, get injured, which was a nightmare for any footballer, especially when he was so young.

The boy sat down with tears in his eyes. Now that the sweat had dried off a bit one could see a somewhat Asian face with really refined features that could easily pass as an idol.

The distinctive feature about Izan was his blue eyes which was really rare for a person of Asian descent. 

Although he was trying to look somewhat composed, regret and disappointment were written on his face. 

He had just been told by his youth club, which was the Valencia Football Youth Academy, that they would be laying him off at the end of the season because he was not showing any promise.

This would usually happen only when one was getting to the age of 18 and was not showing any promise, but now getting to 15 years, Izan was being laid off because he was not showing progress or promise. 

In contrast, he was getting worse. Izan underperformed in the youth league and was by far one of the worst players in the league.

The club could still wait for Izan to mature, but because of a recent budget cut in the youth program, players who were not showing progress or promise had to be laid off, and Izan happened to be caught in this net. 

He sat there, contemplating for a while, and finally concluded that there was still time since the season had just started. 

As Izan stood up he felt the hair on his head rise in an erect position.

Izan then remembered watching a video on YouTube telling him how when in the rain and your hair is on end, it means you are in danger of being struck by lightning. 

Just as he was about to move, something flashed through him causing him to go unconscious. For a while, Izan lay there.

It wasn't until after a while that he was able to regain consciousness but he still couldn't stand.

[Host secured] A voice rang through his head. "Huh." Izan looked around but didn't see anyone in the vicinity. "Okay that was weird," Izan said.

As Izan was about to ignore the sound, it came again. A neutral voice spoke [sequence started. Program starting in 3,2,1... ].

Then it went silent for a while. Izan sat thinking he was going mad but the voice came back again [system initiated ].

[System welcomes host to the legend sequence]. WHAT THE F*** !!. Izan exclaimed.

Lets first make it clear the improvement in the author. Is pretty common to see fast improvement in the writing quality in many 1st works in this website, but this novel is on another level. The 1st ark of this story looks sub-par, with lazy writing, and serious pacing issues, seems like author is in a rush, don’t even know why I keep reading. After 1st ark the story improves so much that it becomes probably the best sport story on WebNovel! Have to say to the author, if you done this with pure effort and talent than you have a bright future. Keep up the good work, hope you don’t give up.

Man, I gotta say, this novel surprised me. I picked it up thinking it’d be just another cliché sports story, but it’s way more than that. The matches? Heart-pounding. Like, you can feel the tension when the team’s down in the final minutes. And the characters? Not just cardboard cutouts ,they’ve got depth. The hotheaded striker with something to prove, the washed-up coach hiding regrets… you actually care what happens to them. The world-building’s solid too. It’s not just about the games; you get the dirty politics behind the scenes, the fan culture, even the locker room banter and teammates (which, by the way, is hilarious at times). Yeah With Some broski But yeah, if you love football or just a damn good underdog story, give this a shot. It’s got grit, heart, and enough play-by-play action to make you cheer out loud. 10/10 would binge again.

The author makes the main character hold onto stat points so he can make everything harder and more frustrating for the mc. Literally ruined the entire novel every conflict that he has, could easily been solved by distributing his stat points. It’s just a boring read and an easy opt out by the author.

Patience is one thing but the mc doesn't Even show a bit of frustration and anger despite being mistreated by national team selectors and then being benched just thinks that he just needs to play honestly its becoming frustrating to continue reading now it seems he doesn't even have a spine to confront and seem coward if you're gonna make him "god of football" as the tiltle says atleast make him look like that he is way to laid back.and what's this bullshit about i will prove with my performance you can't just fu*ki*g keep getting him subbed on last minutes and like a hero he will score hattrick like he did in the last league game.

Es la mejor novela que he visto de fútbol con sistema pero hay un par de rellenos bastante espesos y comienzos de capítulos repetitivos, literalmente se habrá ducha con como 60 veces normalmente 2 cada día si bien esta correcto de vez en cuando ponerlo todo el rato aburre

dude is it me or is the author just boss buffing the opponents goalkeeper? It's not fun reading something back to back, I'm basically just skipping chapters to get to the final moments with no bs and just results. glazing is good it makes the story fun, glazing too much is just cringe. And wtf happened to the system? It's just a novel with a system for the 1st part of the story, now it's basically non existent. Good start but the author can't follow through. The system is basically a bait to pull in readers and the damn system has no consistency lol

Hello, review time. first of all i usually writte review, if i writte one, between 50-150 chapters not so early, but as i read authors notice of it will help hus story i will do so. as this story should have attention of readers, at least those who love football. so, i do in seriousness: writting quality: 5* - even if you can find there some grammar wrongdoings, they are so little or not so important that you will have any problem to understand story or it will not annoy you in any way. author even stopped using weeks to his aging, and puting only age there, so there are no more confusion, so i dont find needs to lower rating there. . Story development: 5* story is focused on football, which i consider right thing to do, mean there arent to many neccesary part pf story which would be usseless a little of slice of life there is is fine as its in good chemistry with the football part of story. even his girlfriend (not officialy yet) and his mon has some show up but not to much that it would postpone the story, which i find with great appreciation, so its all good. only note which i find a bit a pity is, POV of others persons. what i mean, for example commentator of matches are done well and trainers too, occasionaly spectators too, that is all well. but to side story for example there is mentioned clubs like chealsea, barca, real are curious about MC, well if its true, why not put some managers talk out there, or some club happening in backstage out of Izan knowing it, well just thats is my feeling, but overall story is developing in fine and good way, so thumbs up. btw you can even see author, how he is getting better, mb not in each chapter but when you see start of story and see ch.20+ for example i can see the developement of author himself (positively) well next. . Character design: 5*. Izan is good boy for me, he, he isnt stupid, but clever. but now what i found somehow surprised author put that he is good in study which i am surprised, not that those who do atletics ar edimb but doing top of class is rlly rare. but i dont mind it, as he as character rlly do things as smartass, he rlly upping his stats in overall way which is not bad to do, just i already mentioned in some comments, he should also focus on some stat where he will be original and one of the best in team, for example 30 percent of his point to give always to this stat (passing, dribling, avaranes whatever choosen) and 70 percent giving to his overall grow up, but thats just how i feel he should do, i am not author so whatever :D you will rlly like Izan anyway. other characters, well i think they are put there, and i dont feel like they have to small time of show up, by me its in optimal way. next up. . updating stability: for now i will give 5*, story is new and is updated rlly well i just hope author will keep it up a d dont drop it. . world background: 4* true be told, apart that its mentioned its post messi and ronaldo era, we dont know anything about happenings in the world at all, not that we need it right now, but i cant give full rate here, as there were a lot of great guys in football, and we dont even know if we see them in story as of now, even as a managers for example, Pavel Nedvěd, star of Lazio, after Juventus who went do job for his club as manager in Juventus, i know i mention someone from my country but i put it as example, but story is in early stage mb we will see Manager Messi, Ronaldo, Cole or others in it in future. who know :D so thats only stat where i lower rating for story. . Overall story is great and even if author go premium, i plan to read it, and in my clear conscience i can recomend this story for reading. i personaly when i have 3 power stones rdy i always give 1 to this story alongside two others i rlly like to read curently. So thanks Author for your work, for story you showing up, and pleas dont drop it.

The best sport novel i've read.. The only thing i can add is that the MC doesn't fully use the system.. Just my opinion but i think he should've been more invested in the system features like skills shop, appraisal (the name is different in the novel).
