Shameless MF Author here! 5 stars because I believe in myself and I enjoy my story. Okay, let's move past this introduction and talk about the story.
God Of All Games is the story of my main protagonist, Damien Lloyd, embarking on his journey through the future. He'll make quick remarks about the differences between the past (Our present) and the future. Also, I don't have faith that humans will be so far advanced that we are on other planets. I might also try to include a history lesson in one of the chapters about why World War 3 never happened because it is a common idea that it will happen. I blame no one for believing this World War 3 event, humans are a horrible species it's very likely.
So anyway let me clear a few things up since this story is gaming-related leveling up will occur, but not to the liberty of Damien. All humans have been implanted with a new technology (The syringe that I said didn't hurt) that allows them to perform feats of video game characters, such as super strength and speed, and perform Actions (Magic)... Actions are complicated at this moment I am still trying to figure out where I want to take this action route. Don't expect actions to stray too far from boosts and enhancements in the meantime.
Since this is futuristic, I decided to implement a lot of technological advancements (that benefit humans as a species and don't make the rich richer... I'm looking at some companies at the present), and the most common advancement will be the simulation. At some point in time, we started to realize that the population was getting too big so instead of entertainment in our world, we started developing software that would allow us to be in simulations for entertainment. From there, people started to realize this technology can be used for more than watching a concert so game developers took the stage and began doing their magic. Somewhere between now and the future we managed to make the simulation take place in the real world, but they are still limited to borders in the real world. Also for clarity, anything referred to as an item can not be brought into the real world unless within an active simulation (The entire campus of the University of New Phoenixes). Also, stats do carry into the real world, so football, soccer, tennis, and the Olympics are much more intense.
Now onto the thing that could make or break my story, Damien. Damien is overpowered, but limited (I would like to think.). Yes, he can buy stats, but I'll take care of that soon with his first ranking. Damien starts out as an average-looking guy (I gave him white hair and amber eyes, one so he isn't immediately linked to Delta, and two, I think white hair characters are cool), but stats will change his physical appearance later on. I don't want Damien to be this guy that already knows everything, instead, I want him to learn and play around with the rules.
ALSO!!! He is not him. Damien is a gamer who was skinny-fat and never had proper relationships with anyone. Will he have a love interest? Yes. Will it be a horde of people falling for him? No! I'll do what every writer does and imply there will be a harem but ultimately the main character will choose one person.
I do plan to write 3 chapters a week since I am both a student and working a job. Also working on improving my art since I am trying to make a manga (not for this, but if I ever get quick enough maybe).
Finally, I will eventually change up the cover since the cover isn't mine and I replace it with my own illustration of Damien.
