In the end, the Ice Dragon had wiped out the Drake clan's major combat force which forced the patriarch to act accordingly and not lose out to the other Kingdoms.
Unfortunately, Shane had unintentionally dragged innocent prodigies from Astrix island in their dispute unexpectedly. In a way, it was his doing that made the Drake family patriarch forcefully subdue them to replace his clan's lost combat power.
