Chapter 35

Sterben and I got near the town.

"So what's the plan," he asked me.

"You're asking me despite being a commando," I said to him.

"I'm a soldier I follow orders never gave them and I can't come up with one in a situation like this"

"Fine okay so I go in fight through them you have my back with that sniper of yours if you are a good shot okay"

"That sounds a bit reckless"

"You have a better plan"

"No "

"Then we are going with mine okay "

"Okay it's your funeral"

I know that this plan is reckless and idiotic but I trust in my instincts. Even though they might get me killed in the most horrifying way possible. I opened my bag and grabbed a machete and a machine gun rifle m16.

"Here take this" he gives me a communicator " stay in contact".

There was a cathedral inside the town and they took her there. I sneaked my way there they're making sure no one detects me. I entered inside the cathedral and locked the door with wooden planks which were pretty old-fashioned. I saw Christie tied on the cross and a man with a Capra mask welding a crusader straight sword. As he was about to stab her I drew my rifle and shot him. The rest of the undead present in the church got up and came towards me I started shooting them down one by one. I was a bad shot I had no experience with machine guns so I wasn't able to properly get a headshot and used most of the ammo killing them. When a few of them got too close Sterben shot them, damn he is a good shot.

After I took down the undead I walked to Christie and started to wake her up.

"Christie wake up! Come on wake up" I threw water on her face and she wakes up and says

" What the hell happened?" asked Christie.

"You were captured and were about to be crucified," I said to her.

"Really? What the hell!" said Christie

"Don't worry they didn't nail you or tied your neck with spikes"

"Hahaha" she started laughing "That's a relief"

"Yeah now let's ghost out of here," I said to her. As we were making our way through to the door.

"Umm Ali," said Christie.

"What?" I asked her," look" she pointed at the Capra mask guy.

"I thought I shot him," I said.

"I don't think a bullet is enough to kill him," she said.

"Yeah I noticed"That guy started shivering in pain spider legs came out from his back with blades at the end of the legs and he took off his mask, his mouth looks similar to the alien predator and he has 8 eyes.

"Oh my god," said Christie.

"What the hell? damn an ugly motherfucker he turned into a fucking man spider"

"Man spider?" she said.

"Well I am not calling it spider man okay," I told her. It screamed at us.

"Wanna hold my gun?" I asked her.

"Yes please," she said. I gave her my M16 and Walther p38 and drew my 1911.

"Can you shoot?" I asked her.

"Yes I'm good "

The man spider came towards us with the sword in his hand we start shooting him, he uses the blades of his spider legs to block the bullets. Those bullets ricochet of his legs we try to get away from him but he moves really fast. He comes near Christie attacks her with one of his legs she blocks his blades with her rifle by which her weapon broke and she slams on the wall and faints, he crawls to her and was about to attack her with one of his blades to finish her off I quickly shoot the legs preventing the attack. It felt pain and stopped, looks like only the blades are bulletproof he jumps at me and started attacking me with his sword and blades. I am able to avoid them easily and shoot him up close he backs up and realizes he a made a mistake so he shoots something out of his mouth I avoid it, I looked at the thing it shot at me it was the web. Looks like he realized he can't kill me without stopping me first. I avoid them and run towards him while firing my gun. I shot his sword and he drops it. As I get near him I found an opening and aim at his face I pull the trigger and realized I ran out of bullets.

"Fuck seriously, "I said out of anger. It attacks me with his legs with a swing I avoid it by ducking while stepping back I accidentally land my feet on one of the webs on the ground and got stuck.

"Oh come on seriously, "I said. Seriously how bad was my luck? It came towards me I reload and start shooting at him . He blocks the bullets using his blades and comes near me as he is about to attack me Christie stabs his back with his sword that she picked a while later when he dropped it. I pulled out my feet from my boot which is stuck on the web and run away while firing at it. Christie did major damage to him with that sword I put my gun aside and draw my machete run toward him and stab him in the chest. He starts bleeding heavily than I quickly pulled out my magnum revolver and shoot his chest where I stabbed him. It makes a hole in his chest I walk near it and shot his face to make sure he is dead.

"Is he dead?" asked Christie.

"Yes, I think he is "I look at it and say" Rest in peace" while looking I take a look at his necklace it's a key I take it just in case if it unlocks something useful. I pick up my machete and the sword and then walk to my boot and removed it from the web. We heard loud noises from outside.

"Ali do you copy over," said Sterben.

"Roger Sterben what is it? over," said Ali.

"Get out of there," said Sterben.

"What's happening?"

"The town's people are gathered outside the cathedral you magnum made some noise."

The town's people start breaking the door.

" Shit! we need to get out of here now."
