Contemplation

Another dark dungeon, another bad joke to mind. It was my way to cope with it all. But now, I can't anymore... I just want to die in peace.

'I can't cry, no one can't understand me, and I can't escape. Just what do I do? Walking out of another dungeon, I know I will have the world, and walking further in, I will face others like me.', I thought.

"Screw it. Whoever comes... I'll kill them all."

With vengeance as my hope, I took steps forward. 'If I don't find the son of a b*tch that put me here, I will regret every moment of this.'

Though I could not see, I could sense the clacking of bones, similar to mine. I paced towards the sound, to hear, "Raa... *clack*"

A skeleton had clamped his jaw shut on my forearm. Though I could not see, nor feel, I sensed its presence and position.

As I yanked my arm up, I decapitated the skeleton with ease, yet the skeleton head kept a firm grasp on my arm. 'Was it doing any damage?', I wondered.

'Well, nevermind that.' With that, I bonked the skeleton head with my other hand, and strange yellow sparkles illuminated the place as he died.

"Another drop item, huh." Just as I said this, a torch appeared in front of me, replacing the bones of my deceased bite-mark maker skeleton. The torch was of wood, and had a flame on the other end.

Having a torch is optimal but-

"Wait. If drop items are still a thing here, then could this place have a similar system of rules?"

I mean... I didn't hear a voice, nor see a pop-up this time... something does feel off.

Lifting the torch, I scanned the dungeon walls. They were grey, bleak, and of stone like the previous dungeon, but the stones seemed... wet? The illumination of the walls allowed me to see algae across the dungeon. However, the floor was still of hard, dry mud.

This is a different dungeon, but does the system still work? It would be useful to have a helping hand. What was it again? "Status open?" I paused for a couple seconds, trying to contemplate the variations of the words. "Status open?"

And boom! It worked on the second try. A red screen popped up in front me, with information that seemed... pretty damn useless.

"Oi, system, could you tell me where I am?"

And to my great dissatisfaction, nothing happened. Not a word. "The previous system was so much better than this..." As I waved my hand across the screen, it vanished.

With that, the journey continued. I walked further in the darkness, seeing no form of light other than the one emanated by the torch, and met nothing in my-

*Weeeeeeeewweweweweeezzzz*

"Nani the f*ck?!" Something f*cking huge buzzed right across my right ear. Shivers ran down my bones.

I extended my left arm to keep the torch in front me, in a panic. And as I turned from side to side, I saw it. Oh, the horror. It was truly a terrifying sight. A monster hated and despised, an evil being that existed on my original plane of existence; "A F*CKING MOSQUITO!!"

This, however, was no ordinary mosquito. This was a mosquito, the size of a dog, that moved just as fast as a normal one. No man should have to face such horror. But I must do my duty, so this monstrosity bothers none of the living.

As I brought the flame closer to it, it flew around the torch and landed its sharp pointy thing on the right side of my skull. *Tuk*

"B*tch, I don't even have any flesh!", I yelled.

*Weeeeeew* It buzzed the f*ck back into oblivion. As I turned to find it once more, it stood there, flapping its huge, quiet wings, literally right in front of me. Seeing this as the right opportunity, I swung the torch across its face, and wacked the cr*p out of it.

It tumbled to the side, in an unstable state, as it slowed down. *Weezezz*

Not sparing a moment, I impaled the f*cking thing right in the gut with my torch. Blood splashed all over my face, as I mercilessly pierced the thing out of existence, quite literally. Not sanitary stuff, man; but you gotta do what ya gotta do.

And with another weird a*s sparkle, appeared a thing of substance, a lightsaber. It was orange in color, with a metal handle colored black.

"WOOO! THAT'S WHAT I'VE BEEN WAITING FOR! THAT'S WHAT IT'S ALL ABOUT!"

I dropped the useless wood stick, of what was once a torch, and picked up the awesome a*s lightsaber, up above me, as a way of depicting my victory.

Surprisingly, I could see more in the dungeon with the lightsaber than I could with the torch. And what I saw was-

"A horde of mosquitoes." *WEweewewWEwrewweWEEEWEeweWewE*

Seemingly, the light had attracted these foul, humongous beasts. But I could think of absolutely nothing at the moment. All the vigor and bravery I had, transformed into fear.

"I think I just sh*t myself."
