Chapter 4

I woke up in my bed wondering how I got there. I was in the kitchen when I logged in the FIG, so I should appear in the kitchen. I got out of bed and went to the bathroom in our room. As I walked into the bathroom, I noticed two things. First, I was naked. I was wearing clothes when I logged in, but now I'm naked. I don't think any time has elapsed since I left. Anyways, The second thing I noticed was that my appearance was the same as it was in FIG. My hair was black and silver. My eyes were silver. Not to mention, the tattoo located above my heart. I didn't even know that was there in FIG. It must've appeared when I released my last limiter, but I didn't know the game could affect the body in this world.

"Well, You seem to be fine." A voice said.

I turned around and there was my husband, Rin. He also looked the way he did in the game. Instinctively, I jumped in his arms and kissed him. I didn't care if I was naked or my hair had silver in it. All I cared about is the moment I'm having right now. Then, Rin pulled away and looked into my eyes with a serious look.

"Uh oh." He said.

"What's wrong?" I asked.

"You're experiencing an extreme memory loss. I need to restore them before you hurt someone?"

I looked at him with a dumbfounded stare. Then, he summoned a ball to his hand, and slammed it into my stomach, knocking me unconscious. While I was unconscious, I experienced multiple flashbacks of my past. I saw my alcoholic mother cheating on my gambling-addicted father with my useless uncle. I remembered walking in on them and being disgusted after seeing the look on her face as she finished. She even had the audacity to yell and threaten me. That day, I left home and never went back. I immediately went to my aunt's house and stayed there for a few days, before I ran from there because my aunt called my father, who came over to bring me back home. After that I went from shelter to shelter trying to avoid them. However, this wasn't a permanent solution. My brother found me at a shelter and brought me back home. Apparently, my father killed my uncle and himself after walking into their bedroom and seeing him with my mother. Somehow, I knew it was going to end up like that, but I didn't care enough to warn them. As we arrived at the godforsaken house, we saw our aunt sitting on the stairs. I guess she was waiting for us.

"Hey auntie, how are you?" I asked, trying to be polite.

"Finally, I was so worried." She said as she hugged me. "After you left my house, I couldn't help but worry. Anyways, I'm sorry. If I only knew, I wouldn't have called your father that day and kicked your uncle out. But, I gave you the impression that you couldn't come to me about the abuse your mother gave you that day. And for that, I'm truly sorry." She said to me as she began to cry.

"It's okay, Auntie," I said to her as a tear came down my right cheek.

"By the way, there's someone who wants to apologize. She'll be here in a minute."She said as she held on tight.

Suddenly, a car drove up and the door swung opened. Then, it happened. The anger that was boiling everyday overwhelmed me as I saw my mother. However, there was something different about her, almost like she was torn apart. She stood there silently as we walked up closer.

"Hey Sue, welcome back. I got a surprise for you." My aunt said softly as she moved me closer. Suddenly, she starts crying and hugs me.

"I'm sorry, Yukio. I shouldn't have chased you away. I treated you so wrong. Please forgive me." She said.

I was speechless by her apology. However, for a moment, I felt like we could get along like old times. That was before she killed my aunt and herself. I guess looking at me everyday reminds her of everything she done wrong, and she couldn't take it. Suddenly, I was fast forwarded to the day before I met Rin.

"Yukio, those guys came by the house yesterday looking for you. Are you in trouble?" Kevin asked me.

"No, I'm fine. They probably just want their money dad owes. Now eat your breakfast." I said as I brushed it off.

"Please don't tell me you're selling yourself to them."he asked.

"What! No. Never. We haven't hit rock bottom yet. Anyway, hurry up we're going to be late." I replied.

Looking back that moment, it's pretty rude for him to think something like that happening to his sister. Even though it was true in a way. I was working for them, but not as a prostitute. I would be to various locations and make deliveries to certain people. And, I would be given a small percentage of the earnings. This is how we would be making money, however out of that small percentage I would have to pay back my father's debt and the bills for the house they left us. And, did I mention my neighbors was constantly bugging me to sell them the house and marry their son, who was a total disgusting, masochistic perv. Anyways, after a long day at work of deliveries, I was dead tried. However, my day wasn't over. The guys I worked for came by the house, while I was gone, and spoke with my brother. They told him everything I wanted to keep a secret. Then, he told me something unexpected. He told me he was the new member of those guys, and he had a plan to solve our father's gambling debt.

"You want me to work for a board member of this big video game designer company, and seduce his boss." I asked my brother for clarification.

"Yep, this board of this company wants control of the next level technology that their boss invented. They feel he's not utilizing that tech in the right way." He replied.

"Okay, so who's the boss and the company?"

"Rin Nakemaru of Murakami Games."

At that moment, I was excited. Rin Nakemura was the youngest genius in the world. He owns the biggest companies in the world, but he, himself, works at his video game designing company. I love the games he makes especially his MMORPGs(Massively Multiplayer Online Role-Playing Game). They have ultra-high-definition graphics and self-choice created storylines. It gave a new meaning to MMORPGs. Not to mention, their character are so cool and cute. I can't believe I get to meet the God of Games. I immediately rushed to my room to sleep. I couldn't wait until tomorrow.

Suddenly, I was pulled out of my flashbacks into Rin's arms.

"Rin, what happened?" I asks him as I wake up again.

"I temporarily knocked you out, so I could repair your memory loss." he answered.

"Memory loss? How?"

"I don't know. I guess after you released your final limiters, your powers coming at your mind fast enough to damage it. Or,it probably has to do with some recent trauma you had. But, if that the case, I'm the reason." He said.

"No, it wasn't your fault. You done nothing wrong."

"No, I did. I ran instead of facing you. I broke your heart like you broke mine. You didn't deserve that, if anything, you deserved a second chance." He said.

"Rin. Like you said, I broke your heart. I deserved the heart break. And, all I want to is forget that even happened, and go back to being a happy family with us, Emi, and V."

Suddenly, the death of my son, V, came back to me. I was overwhelmed with emotions, causing an unusual pain in heart. The reason why it was unusual was because the earth was shaking as I felt the pain. It was like I was directly connected to the planet. I fell to my knees and started to scream loudly for my dead son. Suddenly, I felt Rin's arms around me.

"Yukio, it's going to be alright. Our son is alive." He said. Instantly, I stopped crying.

"How?" I asked.

"Well, our son and daughter have the opportunity to be spawned in the holy city on the moon in the FIG, like other NPCs. However, once there they could never leave without the help of a God-level player."

God-level players are players who unlocked their full potentials like me and Rin. They have powers that could easily wipeout an army of normal players in minutes. However, the majority of them protects the FIG world, like the the guilds, while some of them threatens it.

"Unfortunately, in order to get to the moon and back, it'll take four days. And, those two days are can't be wasted." Rin said.

"Why?"

"Kevin took the key to the second round from you, and is headed to the location right now. Also, he's working with Rosa and her party, and powered them up to our level." He said.

I regret not killing her and her party when I had the chance. Now, they're going to be working together with my bastard of a brother to take Rin's company from him. If only, I didn't sacrafice myself, Rin and I could stop them from getting the prize. Unfortunately, I have to wait for two days in order to return to FIG. And, Rin by himself wouldn't be enough to fight a party of God- level players, Artificial or not. All we can do is wait.

"Yukio," Rin said.

"Hmm," I answered almost instantly as I looked at him.

Suddenly, Rin kissed me, unlike he ever did before. This felt completely different from the other times. The feeling was like the lightning from from my speed suit.

"I wanted to say sorry, again. I caused you so much trouble. Even now, I'm involving you in my company's internal affairs. I would completely understand if you leave right now." He said.

I sighed with disappointment. How could he think I would leave him? He don't know what I've been through for last few hours, alone, trying to find him.

"Rin, you have nothing to apologize for. When I married you, I knew it could be some major bumps along the way (especially me keeping secrets), but I don't care as long as I got you with me." I said.

Then, something amazing happened. I saw Rin cry for the first time during our relationship. He never showed any type of sadness. He was always either happy, loving, serious, or focused. To see something like this is a once in a lifetime thing. However, that didn't last very long. Even I didn't expect what happened next. Rin took me in his arms and... I think you get the idea.
