Frost's Greed (Marvel)

Everyone follows Xavier, the idealist. Everyone worships Magneto, the extremist. None dare to disrespect Apocalypse, the militarist. But what about the final of the big 4. The one who has lost their students at every turn. The one that walks down the darkest path and is unwilling to put their faith in none outside of their circle of trust. The one that cares not about how humans view mutants nor about the infighting of others. Whose only true care is for the students. This is not a story about her but about a student of hers that believes in her ideas and teachings. Not about peaceful coexistence or mutant supremacy or survival of the fittest. To strive for a brighter tomorrow, even if they have to make it through the blackest night. This is the story of one boy following learning how to be a mutant in a world that hates him under the teachings of the White Queen. He will go from an inexperienced kid to one of the most important mutants in the world ------------ I'm guaranteeing this story for a year, averaging a chapter per day (major holidays may get no chapter or more chapters.) This means that this will be my longest and most secure story, and hopefully the best, on the site. *Warnings! Warnings! Warnings!* - This takes place in an AU of Marvel. So while most things will remain similar to what most people are familiar with, there will be some changes (Some characters being mutants or mutates, etc) - He will start off weak power-wise. He will become very powerful eventually but not for now. He must earn the crowd's favor. - This will be a harem.

Issue #1

(Felt bored, saw a comment about this a couple of days ago. Let's do a chapter without Jack.

Also noticed a few people had an issue with how strong Jack was in the last chapter. I will do better job of explaining his power level from now on.)

A woman with red hair that reached past her ankles walked into a room with several others. Each of them had been out the entire day and had even gone into battle. They were all exhausted as they went to their temporary beds.

As they lay on their beds, a blonde girl looked at her sister before mustering up her courage and walking over.

"Medusa. This can't go on much longer. We need to give up our search or get help. Because at this rate, we are all going to be killed before we find him."

Medusa looked at her sister with fury in her eyes and could barely keep her voice under control.

"You wish for me to just abandon my husband?! Your brother-in-law? You wish to abandon your king?! You disappoint me, Crystal," Medusa spat out before turning her back and facing the other direction.

Crystal knew that she shouldn't push it but she had to. They had lost 3 of their members over the past week. Out of the original 20 that fled Attilan, only 8 remained.

"Medusa! We are now being hunted down by an unknown foe and he sacrificed himself to protect us. But you keep throwing away our lives to try and get him back! This is literal insanity."

The others watched on. All of them respected Medusa as their queen so they could say none of this but Crystal said what was on all of their minds. Ever since they had fled Attilan due to Maximus's rebellion, these few had sworn their loyalty to Medusa and Black Bolt. The latter had lived up to their expectations but with the way Medusa was sending them to their death, the others could not help but be disappointed.

"Then what do you suggest we do, Crystal?" Medusa gave up and asked. She knew that what Crystal said was true but she didn't want to give up on her husband so easily

"I heard that there is a team of people that can help us called the Avengers. They are diverse so they won't discriminate. They have humans, mutants, and even a god on their team. They might be able to help us. Let me and Lockjaw go and check them out. If they don't seem like they have evil intentions, they can help us find Black Bolt. Maybe even provide sanctuary for us."

Medusa wanted to reject but when she looked down at her bulging belly, she knew that there were not many better options. She would soon be out of fighting condition which would bring their already weak fight power down even lower. The chances of them ending up like Black Bolt or dead would increase.

"Fine. You have a week. If you can't get their help or can't confirm that they don't hold any hostile intentions, then give up and return. We will remain here until you do."

Crystal nodded eagerly. All the exhaustion in her body had vanished as she ran over to the giant dog that was another one of the Inhumans. She gently stroked its fur while giving it a command.

"Lockjaw. We need to get moving! To New York City!"

The dog barked in response. Blue energy surrounded both of them before they disappeared without a trace. Medusa looked at the spot where they had left with worry before she lay back down to rest and tend to her injuries.

-- Genosha, same time --

"Father! You can't be serious!" Wanda called out to her father Magneto with a voice reeking of pleading and desperation. Wanda Maximoff, the Scarlet Witch was pleading making another attempt to plead with her father.

The man had decided to launch an attack on Trask Industries to stop them from being able to build their latest model of sentinels.

"Enough, Wanda. I have already decided. When the press conference is held next week, we will strike. This new model of sentinel will be even more dangerous than the previous ones. We need to put fear into the humans so they know better than to try again."

"But there will be innocent people there. A battle in such a location will cost lives."

"Then that is the price that must be paid. Humans have had their chance to treat us as equals. They call those things sentinels but they are actually the vanguard. I have let you and Charles whisper in my ears for too long.

The Hellfire Club shares our ideals and shall have our full cooperation from now on. As a show of good faith, we shall help them take care of a problem they are facing and one we would be soon facing afterward."

Wanda knew that there was no more talking to her father. She had pled with him so much but he had steeled his heart. She could only pray that their battle would be so one-sided that they could end it without innocent blood being shed.

-- Massachusets Academy --

The Hellions were training while Emma watched on from above. In the past month, they had improved a great deal and could function as well as they did with Jack there.

Emma was going to call down to them and tell them that training was over for the night when she got a call.

"Sebastian. I assume you have good news," she stated instead of asking

"Indeed, I do, Emma. Magneto has been convinced. He will be needing your Hellions next week. Will they be prepared?" the Black King asked from the other side of the phone

"Of course. They are my students after all."

The pair spoke for a few more minutes before hanging up.

'The wheels are in motion. I just hope that Jack remembers his original goals and is not getting caught up in the hero life.'
