" Hey Hads, so sorry I woke you up." I apologised
" It's fine Lis, Are you okay? " She asked concerned.
" Not really, am worried about Liam. I know he will be angry at me if I tell him but I'm certain he would be even angrier If he finds out before I tell him, I don't know how to explain things to him." I explained.
" Don't worry too much okay? He will be fine. We'll find a way to explain things to him" She said.
"Okay, I just feel so restless. My whole life is just in a mess" I said as my voice broke. "It's alright okay? we'll look for a way to sort out everything" She encouraged even though we both have been searching and haven't found an escape. "Thanks, Hads, Let me allow go back to sleep. Take care of yourself okay? Goodnight" I sighed as I said this "You too dear, night" She replied and I hung up. I didn't know when or how long I stayed awake before dozing off.
The next day, I woke up and prepared for school and headed to the living room but the old man wasn't in the living room. Could it be that he was still in his room or had already left? I went to the kitchen and met Nancy setting the table for breakfast "Good morning Nancy" I greeted as I walked in " Good morning ma'am, hope you had a good night's rest?" She asked smiling " I can't say, Nancy, I had a lot on my mind, how about the old man? " I kept dreaming about Liam's reaction when he knows am married to Asher Kelvin and kept waking up afterwards. Losing a friend like Liam was not an option and I had made up my mind to tell him when I got to school
" So sorry ma'am, Mr Kelvin went out already " She replied. I didn't know why I was a little disappointed but I was " I'll get going Nancy, see you later" I made to leave " You're not having breakfast ma'am?" I heard Nancy ask and I turned around and replied " No Nancy, am running late already. See you later okay?" She nodded. " Just give me one minute" She said and hurried to get a mug and came back with coffee which she handed to me. I smiled, I knew she wasn't happy I wasn't having anything for breakfast and didn't want me to go out like that. " Thanks, Nancy, you're the best," I said with a thumb up which made her laugh a little. I took the coffee and hurried out, Gab was already waiting in front of the mansion. We got to school, I got down and said goodbye to Gab to which he nodded with a smile and drove off. I looked toward the gate to find Liam staring at me, immediately our eyes met he turned around and started walking away.
" Liam" I called as I ran towards him but he didn't stop, he increased his pace instead. " Liam please, I'll tell you everything I promise" He stopped as I said this then turned around to look at me as I finally caught up with him, I was breathing like I had run a marathon race.
" What do you want to tell me that I don't know yet? That you're married? " His voice broke as he asked the question.
" Damn it" I murmured. The very thing I was trying desperately to avoid. How the hell did he find out so quickly? How do I start explaining this?
" Liam, it's nothing that you think. You'll understand if you let me explain please" I tried. He had this pained expression on his face that completely broke my heart ' Oh dear God, His upset. What do I do?' I thought
" You had lots of time to do that but you didn't, how can you call me your friend and keep something this important from me? I need to go Melissa am running late for my classes, see you around."I watch him go unable to do anything. If only he would just listen to me and understand that I was forced to do this. I started walking towards my class only to hear an annoyingly familiar voice.t
" Hey sis, I see you didn't tell your friend about your husband" I turned around and yes it was Abigail, I hissed as I saw her. Then It crossed my mind, How did she know what Liam and I were talking about? I looked at her surprised. Was she eavesdropping on my conversation?
" Have become even more shameless than you already are that you now eavesdrop on people's conversations?" I glared at her annoyingly.
" Oh I didn't need to eavesdrop 'cause I already knew that was what you guys would be talking about." she was giving me a mischievous grin now.
" What do you mean you know, how do you know it's what we would be discussing? What did you do?" I was looking at her suspiciously now.
" Oh nothing, I just told Liam about your marriage." She finally said triumphantly with a big smile. " And before you say anything, it wasn't my fault you didn't tell him, he was worried about you and I had to tell him. Besides it's not like it's gonna be a secret forever you know" I heard what she said but I was so confused, wasn't I with him all day yesterday? So how did she... "What the hell Abigail? What have you done? How and when did you tell him?" I was asking so many questions all at once not that she would answer them anyway.
" He was looking for you yesterday and went to your house but didn't find you, so he called to check if you got home safely," she explained.
" It wasn't in your place to tell anyone about my marriage. stay of my business" I was clenching my teeth so tightly it was hurting, I turned around and started walking away but stopped to say " If we weren't sisters, I wouldn't have let this slide". I walked away before she could even say anything.
' How dare she? who gave her the right?' I sighed in frustration as I ran a hand through my hair.
I brought out my phone and called Hads to ask where she was, She came into the lecture hall 10 minutes later.
" Good morning Lisa" she greeted as she sat beside me.
" Good morning Hads, how are you doing?" she looked at me for a while before asking "Are you okay?" I shook my head. "No Hads, am far from okay."
" You're worried about Liam?" I was more than worried. "Of course am worried, he found out!! That devil I have for a sis told him" Hads didn't seem surprised at what I said " Hads why does it look like you already knew everything? Did you know?" She nodded at my question.
" What are you saying, hope you ain't the one that told him?" I was looking at her suspiciously waiting for an answer. " Abigail told me it was her a while ago, was she lying?" I asked again before Hads could even answer my first question.
