Even in his previous lifetime, Tariq, as a general rule, hid his emotions. He figured they were intel he should not hand over, and so at all times, his face was blank. But today was different.
Tariq had just received his first set of rewards from the mission he had completed. The excitement he felt was so intense that it was almost palpable, as if his entire being was vibrating with anticipation. As he gazed at the virtual screen displaying his rewards, he could feel himself glowing from the inside out, like the sun shining through a delicate white linen fabric. This was a rare moment where he allowed his emotions to take over, and he relished in the feeling of pure joy and satisfaction.

The messages were brief, but it was not what Tariq was expecting. He clicked on the inventory tab icon and then selected the only card with the image of an peach in it. And voila, the fruit, the size of a lollipop a little bit bigger than an M&M, popped out of the translucent blue screen.
Although Tariq had read several system-tagged web novels, it was quite a spectacle, he was amazed.
But he was not the kind to concern himself with the inner workings and processes of the system, and thus, he just picked up the small peach and threw into his mouth right way.
As soon as the small peach entered his mouth, it dissolved like ice cream and melted on his tongue.
'Quite sweet. Different from what I had imagined!' He thought. He swallowed the melted liquid from the elixir in one gulp.
'I imagine this is what peach tastes like.'
As the elixir entered the Tariq's body, he felt an intense rush of energy. It's as if every cell in his body is waking up and coming to life. The tingling sensation begins in his fingertips and toes, but quickly spreads to his limbs and torso. It's a feeling of electricity coursing through his veins, making his heart race and his breath quicken.
Tariq can feel his muscles expanding and contracting, growing stronger with each passing moment. He flexes his arms and can see the definition in his biceps and triceps, which are now bulging with power. His chest swells with every breath he takes, and he feels an incredible sense of strength and vitality.
As a tar-like dirt begins to come out of his body, he is hit by an overpowering stench. It's a smell that he's never experienced before, a putrid mix of sweat, grime, and something else that he can't quite place. It's a smell that seems to come from deep within him, as if he's been carrying it around for years.
As he stands up, he notices a new feeling on his body. It's as if his pimples were peeled off and his melanin skin is now shiny. He can see every vein and muscle in his body, and his skin feels smooth and tight. He feels taller, as if he's grown an inch or two.
Looking at his physical stats he was amazed.

So, Tariq pivoted his attention to the stationery golden lottery-wheel that was just too huge and disappeared off into the edges of the screen at the center page.
'Too Extra.' He thought.
It consisted of small circles and squares sections arranged from top to bottom with small images of famous football players, coaches and a bunch of different shapes and signs. Beside the wheel was a red button with the phrases 'spin and win', '*3 chances', and 'confirm lottery' inscribed below it.
Tariq did not waste time on pointless deliberation. He just tapped on the red button, and voila, the wheel spun at a fast speed before stopping with the pointers locked on to the image of Gigi Buffon - a Italian goalkeeper saving the ball.
"Nope. Why is it off offering me goalkeeping skills?"
He tapped on the red button again, it was a English defender - Harry Maguire shielding the ball. This pissed him off. He didn't even bother to take a second glance and used up his last chance to spin the wheel.
"Third times the charm"
This time the wheel spun for a little longer. And after what seemed like years to Tariq, it stopped with its points to a blue card with a golden halo written in golden letters "Training Halo". He chose it without even looking at its description.

Training Halo (passive)

The village where Tariq lives is in a situation where there is a lack of proper facilities for playing football. The children have to make do with a makeshift field that is not well-maintained, and they use rocks as goalposts. The materials they use to make their own balls are whatever they can find, such as plastic bags, rubber bands, old clothes, and papers. The children often play without proper sports shoes or boots, just wearing socks or slippers, which can be uncomfortable and increase the risk of injury.
Despite these limitations, Tariq and his friends never stopped playing football. They are passionate about the sport and find creative ways to keep playing. Their determination and enthusiasm are admirable, considering the challenges they face in playing football.
Overall, the situation in Tariq's village is one of limited resources and lack of proper facilities, but the children's resilience and love for the game make up for it. They have learned to be resourceful and find joy in playing the sport they love, regardless of the circumstances.
Now that he is older, to fulfill the dream of becoming a professional football coach he needs a lot.
As a Newbie what he needs is knowledge; books like biographies, video clips, studies and also technical manuals on coaching. He has a lot to learn. But they are too expensive and hard to find in his part of the world.
However, there was an additional problem. It was the year 2004, and the internet is not as widely available or as cheap as it is today. Tariq had no access to previous football clips or tactical analysis, and YouTube isn't even a thing yet.
What Tariq needs urgently is an ID card but its too soon he had to wait a few months to turn 18, he also needs a passport, money and an academy to learn his trade but that was for the future, he decided to put his new found skills to a test on an amateur team.
