Turns out Michelle was looking for funds to start her own business and since a certain someone decided to listen to her crap and ignore me, here we are. Am currently having my coffee still trying to figure out how i was going to get the last twenty grand and replace it before Dad found out, it was going to cause major trust issues and Ronald was going to be right in the middle of this mess. We are already in the forth month and every time i try to make a withdraw am told there is a finance issue in the family account that i have to wait until its fixed, something about our account being updated. I haven't slept since the day the PI gave me Michelle's file am so lost.

Tyler cleared his throat behind me making me notice it was time for work. He tried to talk to me again but i pushed him away and ran out of the house. I knew that he was suffering as well but he was not the one who was told over and over again that her boyfriend was not worth it.

I was in the middle of the meeting when Ronald burst into my office looking like he just ran from ground floor to eleventh. I knew what that look meant and dismissed everyone right away. "We have a problem, your Father just authorised a transfer of all the Grey project funds to the team in China, we need that money by the end of the week, the team is already informed and they are waiting for the money", "Ok, ok calm down i will make sure i have it by friday, better yet i will go to the bank right now and withdraw fifty thousand that is there and bring it to you as i work on the rest, ok?", he took a deep breath, i hope it was the one for relief. "Thank you Miss Riverson, please do your best, i have breached alot of protocols for this and you know Mr. Riverson never tolerates such things he will fire me, please", he said sadly making me panic even more. I told my assistant to clear my schedule for the whole week, giving me time to move freely as i figured out what to do.

"Am sorry Madam, but you don't have any funds in your account", "What the hell are you talking about?". "It was transferred to another account in which you are also the joint owner", the bank officer said making me loose my mind. I asked about the account was told that me and Tyler had a joint account? What the fuck! i checked the balance and it didn't have a penny in it. All the money was transferred months ago.

I walked into the restaurant to find a set of three couples having lunch. I walked to his office ignoring the greetings i was getting from the workers, i honestly didn't care. "She doesn't deserve you Tyler, she doesn't even get you. I do, I understand the sacrifices you had to make to reach where you are. She has never had to work for anything in her life", "She is not like the rest of them, even though i decided to date her so that i could get connections to help me in my career from her family, she has been my rock, she supported me when no one else did", his words made me freeze, it hurt by i had to know the truth. "But she also watched as you got rejected by the bank again and again, who does that to the people they love, huh?", "I love her Michelle", he said with so much pain. "Loved. You loved her and i can't blame you for having that connection with her, you guys have been together for a long time but do you remember the night of your birthday?", she said sweetly as if, as if she was talking to her lover? Oh my god, he slept with her. He cheated on me. I remember that day, my flight was delayed and i couldn't return in time for the birthday dinner his workers prepared for him with my help. I was trembling waiting for his answer, was it a weak moment or was he actually in love with her too. "I remember Michelle, but it was wrong and you know it", "That it was, what about the other nights she left you all alone because of her rich life and you had to call me to come over and comfort you? I am the one who has been there for you, am the one who always picked up the pieces. She should be grateful. If you ask me you are like a ten and her a two, with that extra fat and being black, the only good thing about her that should be worth your attention is her family's money", tears were falling at this point. I was frozen i had no idea if i wanted to walk in there or not. The fact that he didn't have anything to say after she said that about me made me remember all the warnings my family and Lily were telling me. I was so stupid.

It was suddenly quiet, i took a deep breath and opened the door to find him kissing Michelle like his life depended on it. "How could you?", he pushed her to the side like she was a hot stove. "I can explain, please", "Don't bother, i have heard all it all, thank you for everything", i said and walked out of the restaurant.
