Finding Balance!

I have had a crush on Tyler Osborn for as long as i can remember so imagine how i felt the day he asked me out on a date. Yes i froze but i was over the moon. He was the man of my dreams. Don't get me wrong i know am cute but having excess fat was a buzz kill and also one of the reasons i didn't approach him myself. He always had a thing for blondes with blue eyes, not that am a stalker but i kinda paid attention to his life style.

Our first date was out of this world and i intend to keep the memory forever. We talked alot that night, he told me about his dreams of opening a restaurant and becoming one of the best Chefs in the world because he loved cooking and i told him about mine, not very interesting as his considering to me it was joining the family business to work with my awesome Dad. I thought it was lame but the way he encouraged me to work harder, made it seem worth it. We enjoyed a walk on the beach and finally, he took me home, i got my first kiss and it was exactly how i imagined Tyler would taste like.

Alot of people didn't approve of us being together because he was famous in college and i was a nobody. Some girls even told me to my face that he was just with me because i was safe and because after Amber dumped him for his lack of experience in bed no one in college wanted him, he heard them, confronted them and it was not pretty. He defended me like a gentleman he is, making me fall even deeper.

After college we moved in together and it was life in paradise even though my Dad never liked him but i was hoping that when they got to know each other they would grow to like each other. Leo, my twin brother, he was older by five minutes and always brag about it, was also in the same boat as my Dad, they believe that Tyler will leave me as soon as he gets what he wants. Our money, yes we were rich but not that rich but still i thought they were exaggerating considering Tyler has had alot of chances to do so in the past but never done it.

He had saved his own money to go to culinary school so he started studying about the same time i started my training with Dad on our advertising company. We were not an ordinary advertising company we did brand management, production as well as owning over three thousand billboards worldwide so yes we were big and we were in all the right countries but focused on the capital cities. My Dad was a legend and i just hoped that i could fill his shoes hopefully outgrow them too. He seems to believe it and i trust him more than anything, well except for Tyler being money oriented.

We have both been so busy that we barely had time for each other but i always tried to make sure am home on time and ask him how culinary school was like. That seemed to keep us going, because his face would light up every time i asked him what he learned, i tried asking what some terms meant but he kept on telling me i wouldn't understand, it kinda hurt my feelings but i didn't want to intervene or discourage him.

I started googling stuff and watching food channels so that i could understand what he was talking about. It was interesting but distracting. I found myself missing out on important information during work, not able to focus properly and sometimes we even lost some deals because of my negligence. Dad was never angry at me but he was super mad at Tyler, he kept telling me that he was manipulating me, it was not true, it was my fault i wanted to be everywhere, If i planned better i would definitely make it work.

"We need to visit our branches starting next week because most of our contracts are due and it's the best time to introduce you to the customers since you will be taking over soon", Dad told me during our weekly meeting, i was so excited to travel with him and i thought that it would be an awesome opportunity for Tyler to come with us and explore different types of food with Mum while we worked, my Mum was an adventurous woman so it was going to be a win win situation, i just had to make Dad accept my request. "I am not about to pay for that man's mini honeymoon with my daughter", he shouted making me flinch. He has never raised his voice at me not even once. It scared the crap out of me, ran to my office and started crying, i thought that he was warming up to the idea of having Tyler as part of the family but i guess not. "Am sorry Lina, you can bring him with us, besides he will give your Mother some company", he said from my office door, i didn't even notice him coming in. I ran into his arms and hugged him like my life depended on it, he returned my hug making me feel the warmth that i was used to when it came to hugging my Dad.
