(Isla's POV)
I slowly shifted my aching body trying to find a comfortable position. I was in pain, I couldn't feel myself as I groaned and moved my hands to my head and fisted the soft linen I was apparently lying on. My voice was croaked making it sound as if I was trapped in a barrel however I groaned and slowly opened my eyes to see where I was. The last recollection of my memories was when I was running away from jeena. I was afraid to get locked away in a dark cave again. Slowly, I lifted my head and pushed the pillow close to my head away and tried to pull myself up. My head was hurting. A hiss escaped my lips as I heard the sides of my face and massaged my temples as I stretched my body. I was lying on my back and seeing the size of the bed which was covered in white linen, I became alerted knowing the bed was unfamiliar
"Get up you lousy witch!"unconsciously I heard an angry woman's voice yell, and before I could turn and see who it was, a bucket of cold icy water flew up at me, and I was drenched in water. I gasped as I jumped out of the bed but tripped on something and fell as I landed with a thud of the wet floor where some water had splashed, and again I slipped and hit my head to what looked like a wooden table and my vision became blurry
"Ouch!" I muttered and massaged my head as water fell on my face and down my lips. Not only that, but I wiped my face, so I could see who did that and upon opening my eyes I met with a fine-looking lady dressed in a clean short red dress. She had golden like blonde hair which was falling into waves. She was exceptionally tall, not sure if it were her normal height but when I shifted my gaze down her long slender legs, she was wearing high heels which added to her height. I was confused as I tried to stand, but my left arm was hurting, and hence I slowly held it with my right arm and looked up at the lady glaring at me. I could see she was not had to see me and when I shifted my eyes around the room it was slightly bigger than my own room and was neat, and it smelled different
"Such pathetic creatures... I wonder why he brought one here"the lady said, and I detected disdain in her tone just as another one came in, this one wasn't so dressed up but looked a little like my age. She and dark ebony hair tied to the sides, and she was wearing a gray skirt which reached below her knees, a black shirt and a sweater which was a little loose, and I guessed she was a little shy as she looked at me for a while and shrank away in a corner
"S...she's late...I'm afraid she needs to start working"the same girl said, and I could tell her voice suited her. It was soft a little polite or was it shyness, but she seemed intimidated by the tall lady who turned to her and threw her a death glare which I noticed
"You!"the tall lady turns to me and yelled jerking me back to my senses as I flinched and prepared to get to my feet however the lady yelled again
"I didn't say stand you filthy girl...kneel before me or I'll have you head chopped off you lousy body"she stated angry and feeling scared I went on my knees not sure what was happening. I lowered my gaze not daring to look up, and I sensed movements in the room. The lady was walking around, and her heels made a sound each time her feet landed on the tiled floor
"I don't know why I have to see this... Kelly...do me a favor and show this little slave her way around the mansion... I wonder what my cousin was thinking bringing one here... I thought they belonged in the swamps"she remarked and I knew I was not where I was supposed to be. Was I sold, did those men and that man's commanding voice bring me here? I kept wondering as my hands turned even colder. I was sold for sure and judging by what I heard the lady say, I wasn't with the other omegas which meant I was in danger
"Yes my lady... I'll show her around and make sure she doesn't make any mistakes that displease our alpha"this time it was the shy girl who said and upon saying her words, my heart automatically lifted hearing the word ALPHA, I was stunned as I tried to think of how I ended up in such a place and how and alpha had to be involved but when I heard the slamming of the door which made my heart race even more, I looked up again and this time I didn't find the tall lady but the shy girl who looked as if she was waiting for something or someone to speak
"W...who are you and w…where a...am I?" I muttered, stammering as I asked still keeping my gaze away, I feared my wits not sure where I was
"Well... I thought you should know huh...aren't you and omega?"surprisingly she answered and unlike before she didn't sound shy or nervous but bold and confident as I looked up in shock and found her by the window drawing the curtains apart. Not only that, but I peeked and saw that the sun was bright and birds were chirping. I smiled and prepared to stand but dropped the idea as I waited for the girl to explain what was going on. She knew I was an omega, and hence this wasn't my territory nor were the people familiar
"I...well...I am but can you tell me who that rude lady was?" I said this time my voice had gone back to normal which I appreciated
"Weren't you bought my dear...get up...it's time for your work...the alpha already left, so it's a good opportunity for you to clean his room"the girl turned to me and said looking at me with suspicious eyes, I didn't move or say anything as I just stared at her. She looked bright, and her eyes were amber brown however when the sun shone in them, they turned a little purple not sure if that was possible, but her eyes were beautiful, even her small round face suited her
"Excuse me…but what alpha?" I asked while getting to my feet, by now my arm was okay, not a surprise there, but I was a werewolf, I only felt pain for a short time then nothing. I slowly got up and tried to look at myself, and I was wet, the black loose dress I was wearing stuck to my body making me feel uncomfortable and like the girl said how I was making faces, she walked to what looked like a cupboard, she opened it and I stood to the side lines and watched what she was up to
"Well our alpha...don't you know who your master is…please be careful out there... I have things to do right now, so I won't be around while you do you work"she said more like shouting, and I scanned myself nodding at her words and she returned holding a white dress and shoved it on the bed.
"A...alpha?..w...wasn't that lady... I mean where exactly am I?" I was nervous as I walked to the window to see exactly where I was, and upon seeing the unfamiliar paradise like garden my heart race as I tore my gaze away and back to the girl who was busy scanning black shoes
"Welcome to moonstone pack... I'm Kelly, the head of all servants...please get ready and meet me downstairs"she said and left immediately closing the door with a loud bang which made me flinch as I quickly rushed back to the window and tried to see exactly where I was. Not only that, but I wasn't home and the atmosphere felt different, the air was light and the breeze wasn't too tacky or heavy. I inhaled the fresh air and the smell of fresh flowers hit my nose as I smiled and extended my hand out the open window. The sky was blue with white clouds fighting to be dominant. The view was lovely from where I was above and I could see mountains although I assumed the so-called mansion extended even to the sides. I didn't mind my wet clothes but going out there and running through the beautiful garden however when I recalled the tall lady and the shy girl's words. I dropped the idea knowing full well, I had to work. How I got here was a mystery and how I slowly turned away from the window and glanced back in the room and a long sigh left my closed lips as I shifted my eyes to the clean clothes Kelly had hot for me and I knew my life had changed
But how, I was wondering if my sister knew where I was. Was she still angry at me? I knew I made a mistake and got caught however I didn't expect to be selected when I just turned eighteen. My eyes shifted to the dress I was now wearing and it wasn't my style, it was of medium height reaching above my knees and was a little like a pencil skirt with a blue satin belt i had to tie at the back like a ribbon, the upper part fitted me very well and covered my back and everything, the black flats were comfy as I moved my feet to check them out
"This is horrible...I look like some...doll"I complained while tying my hair in a loose bun. I didn't like what I was wearing one bit but I couldn't complain as I finished up everything and made my way to the door. I sighed heavily and opened the door to review a passageway...I didn't know which way I should go because they all left in different directions.
"She didn't tell me where I was supposed to go"I muttered and scratched my head awkwardly. I looked to the left and then to the right, my mind wandered around debating on whether to take a left or right but I decided to go to the left which looked promising
I made my way down the corridor as I aged, the lights were a little dim but not in a creepy way until I came around a corner. I smiled when I thought I was there but again, another passage greeted me...this looked endless "damn it"I complained and proceeded down.
I made like four turns before I reached a tall wooden door, it was high and the only door I could find and I heard a voice from the other side hence I slowly pushed the door open and walked in only to stop when I found four people sitting in the lounge area. Immediately they saw me, their eyes turned to me and they seemed not pleased with my barging in.
