We arrive at the packhouse the following day at seven. We thought that we would be early, but there were already people eating, so we got in the buffet line and started grabbing some food. There was an ara of different types of food and Elea, of course, got her usual fruits and a bagel Miseria got her pancakes and sausage. I just went with my typical eggs, bacon, and toast. But the biscuits and gravy were calling my name pretty hard. I was longing at them when Alpha Paxton walked up. "I'll get a big plate of it, and we can share." I turn and smile at him. "I really just wanted a bite or two of it." I bit my bottom lip, trying not to grab some of it. He bumps me a little with his shoulder. "Well, you can have as much as you like. Go ahead and go sit, and I'll be over in a minute."
Mis leans over to me when I get sat down beside her. "Was he just flirting with you?" I shrug my shoulders. "I don't know; no one ever flirts with us."
"I swear if you and Elea find your mates the day after we turn sixteen and I have to be a prude for the next two years, I am going to be all kinds of pissed off."
"We have not found our mates yet; slow your roll jelly bean, and we can't get them until we are eighteen anyways."
"Yeah, well, if you haven't noticed, we are not the normal werewolves, now are we?" She seemed awful testy this morning. "Nakoda, do you think you can make Mis here feel any better?"
"Girl, I wish. I've been trying since last night to get her out of her funk; she keeps on being all sour."
"Elea." I say, and she looks at me, "Can you send a little of your kindness over this way." I lay my hand on Mis's, and Elea grabbed the other one, and we could feel some of her sadness and stress leaving her and leaving the rest of us also.
" That was beautiful." We look up to a tall black-haired woman with glowing green eyes and olive skin.
We quickly removed our hands from each other and put them under the table. "You must be our new lovely ladies my son was telling me about, but he sure left out some important things about you."
She waves to the seat in front of us. "May I sit with you for a bit?" We all say yes because we are curious about what she has to say.
Alpha Paxton sits next to me with the biscuits and gravy and smiles at the woman across from us. "This is my mother, Helen. Mom, the is Luneva and Amarie." He nudged me just a little " It is nice to meet you." I said, and Amarie flat-out asked. "What do you know about what we just did?"
That made her eyebrows go up into her hairline. "Fascinating," she said as she leaned closer to us.
"This is Miseria and Nakoda." He points down to them.
Mis just nods her head, but Nakoda bounces out of her mouth. "Oh, you have such a pretty aura. So pure, so white like us, and you have the prettiest eyes." She turns to look at the other two. Mis rolls her eyes. "Sorry, she is excited about everything. I'm Mis; she was Nakoda."
Alpha Paxton points down further. "Elea and Leda," Elea smiles and tells her. "It's lovely to meet you," Leda responds with, "Are you going to answer Amaries' question?"
"Well, I am sure my son Paxton here has told you all that I am a bit different. I was born with special powers also. Not quite like yours." she says as she puts her elbow on the table and props her hand on her cheek. "But they are special to me. I would love to have you three study with my mother and me. We are never too old to learn new things and I hope to help you with growing your powers also. I can feel that you have so much more potential in you that you are just scratching the surface of."
"Are there a lot of different were's here?" Elea asked. "No, there are only you three, now Miseria and Jason's grandmother, myself, My mother, and Paxton; there are a few that have a healing power, but it's not very strong." We turn to Alpha Paxton. "You have powers?" I asked. He smiles at his mom like she wasn't supposed to say anything. "Yes, but they are not the kind that is amazing like yours. I just have a few special things I can do."
"Like what?" We all three ask him at the same time. Jason laughs a little when he notices Paxtons face. "Get used to it; they do that all the time."
"I can feel people's emotions like you three, but I can't fix them. I have a sixth sense per say of things that might happen in the future, but I can't pinpoint what it is usually. I just know something is about to happen."
"So you knew we were coming?" Mis asked.
"No, I didn't know you three were coming, but I knew that something special was coming. So when Grandma called me and told me that you three and Jason might need somewhere to go, I knew that was the feeling that I was having. I told her to go ahead and get things ready for you all, and she said she had already gone shopping. She had expected you before Jason had even called, but I'm sure she didn't tell you that."
Paxton's mother got up and told us that she would talk to us after we did the membership to the pack.
"Paxton, can I ask you a question?" I look over at him as he is just about to take a bite of eggs. "Yeah, you can ask me anything."
"What about our wolves?"
"What about them?" He says with a deadpan look on his face.
"Will the pack approve of them?" He sits for a moment, looking at the spot where his mother was sitting. I don't know if he was linking someone or not, but I thought that he probably was. I cock my head sideways and ask. "So what's mom and dad think of that question?" He smiled at me. "Well, it was mom, dad, and grandma, but they think we should keep them from the pack at least until they get to know you." We all three sigh; we had been looking forward to letting them run around and be free. "We are not hiding you at all; we just want to make sure that they are okay with it."
"No, it's fine. Can we at least run around at Grandma Roses? She seems more isolated than the rest."
"Yes, I think that would be fine. Once we make you all part of the pack, we can link then." I wanted to try something, so I concentrated on sending him a message. "Can you hear me?" He jumped from being startled. He grabs the link that I have managed to make. "Yes, How are you doing this?"
"I don't know. I just thought I'd give it a try."
"Well, what I was going to say was when we get you in the pack, and we can link," he smirked at me. "Then you can tell me when one of you are out running, and I'll tell patrol not to come that way for a little while or have them just stay at the border. Just make sure that you don't go close to that area if you don't want them to see you. They will be able to sense you are one of ours, so they won't come looking to see who it is."
"Speaking of that, we need to go ahead and do that. Have any of you ever had to do or see someone join a pack before." We all shake our heads at him.
"Follow me to my office; we can do it in there."
