Meeting Alpha Paxton

Luneva POV

Jason showed up just like Grandma said he would. She linked to the Alpha and told him that we were ready to meet him. We were all terrified to meet him because we didn't want to be rejected again as we had been from our pack. A pack that we had known all of our lives.

Alpha Paxton came in and sat down on one of the chairs facing us. He looked at Jason sitting next to Elea and then at Miseria next; he stared at me. "They don't look very terrifying." He smiled at them, and they felt a little bit more comforted by him." Jason was the one that spoke next. "The pack is scared of their wolves."

"Would you mind if I see them?" Alpha asked. We didn't have a choice in the matter. Amarie was the one to speak for us... "We don't have a choice now, do we?" I slapped my hand over my mouth, and he cocked his eyebrow at me. "Sorry, I would have never spoken to you like that, Alpha." I duck my head down. "What do you mean you wouldn't have spoken like that." We look at Jason and then Grandma. "You can trust Alpha Paxton. He will keep your secrets."

"That was my wolf Amarie," I say to him. "How?" Is all he said.

Miseria was the one that answered for us. "We might as well tell all our dirty secrets. So the night our parents died, we were linked together, feeling well, pretty downright lost. One of the Goddesses of Fate came to us, The Goddess Atropos. She came to us that night and told us that she needed us to grow our powers and that we needed to be the best warriors that we could be. She pretty much told us that we would have to fight off some pretty nasty evil when we got older. The only bad thing is, we haven't ever been trained to fight other than Jason training us. Our pack was not much on letting girls learn to fight, and as far as our powers go. We have never told anyone what they are other than Jason, and we haven't fully told him everything either, and I'm not really sure if we should tell you either." She takes a deep breath and continues.

"Now, if you want to see our wolves, we need you not to freak out and try and kill us or get all butt hurt because we are bigger than your alpha wolf."

We all stared at Mis as she finished talking, and then our eyes got big and looked back at the Alpha. "Was that your wolf Miseria?" He asked in a low tone. "No, Goddess knows why, but she gave me a kind wolf named Nakoda that wants to poop rainbows and dang butterflies." That actually made the Alpha laugh. "Elea and your wolf is?" She sighed. "She is not like me at all. I spew kindness everywhere, and she is pretty blunt."

I look at the Alpha before we decide to go and show him our wolves. "Alpha, may I ask you a couple of questions before we show you our wolves?"

"Of course."

"How old are you?"

"Nineteen" Okay, wow, I thought he'd be older.

"Why are you okay with us being different?"

"My mother is different, as you say, and if you haven't noticed, so is Grandma." He didn't even miss a beat when he called her Grandma. He even smiled at her when he said it.

"Well, Ladies, let's get to it." Mis stood up.

"Might as well hurt his ego, real quick." I slap my hand over my mouth again. "Are you trying to get us killed?" I ask Amarie out loud. I can feel her amusement as she looks at the Alpha. "I don't think he'd kill us." I turn and hurry to the door. "Goddess, she is going to get us killed." I could hear the Alpha laugh behind me as I went out the door. We walk around to the back of the house, and the Alpha goes to turn around.

"No need, Alpha, we are special with our clothes." Elea was the one to respond. We don't waste time, and we hold hands like we had done the other two times, and this time was faster than the last two. We didn't even have to concentrate; we just changed.

Alpha Paxton didn't flinch or even look scared; his aura gave off very cheerful and kind vibes, even some protective ones. He starts to walk towards us.

"You better not even think about hurting us," Amarie said out loud. That made him stop for a second, but he started right back towards her. "I promise Amarie that I will not hurt you or the girls at all. The Goddess has given you all such precious gifts." He knelt down in front of her and rubbed her head and the side of her neck. She purred and leaned into his hand as he stroked her. He stood from her and went to Mis and Nakoda. "Nakoda, it is so nice to meet you." He rubs her head, and she is wagging her tail and starting to bounce up and down. "See, I told you she was rainbows and unicorns," Mis said through Nakoda. "I am just happy he is happy to see us and not scared of us."

"The way you can both talk is so fascinating, and you have different voices." He turns to Elea and Leda and pets her the same way he had done Mis and Nakoda. But this time, Jason stepped closer and let out a slight growl to the Alpha. "Sorry, man, Just wanting Leda to know that I'm on her side."

"I can tell you are on my side without all the rubbing, dude." That made the Alpha laugh again. "I do like you girls. You aren't scary. I can feel that you have some pretty powerful powers and have only good intentions. We will start training you next week once you get more comfortable in your new home. If that is okay with you? My mother will be happy to have some ladies to train with their powers, and I'm sure Grandma can help you as well. Do you ladies want to finish school here this year, or would you rather wait until next school year to start back? We all look at each other and shift right back into ourselves. "Oh, now that is impressive." He said with a laugh. We stood in front of him with our clothes still in tack.

"Well, We are kinda done with school," I tell him. "We graduated early. Being around so many hormonal teens and the stress of the town and everything that was going on with their mates and such, we finished school early so we could help with the people in town more."

"So you all are healers?" He asks

"Well, we can do that. But we help a lot with feelings and emotions. I am supposed to be Love Miseria is Sadness, and Elea is Kindness. That is how our powers are, but if we combine them, we can do more things at once."

"Fascinating, And your old Alpha didn't back you?" We all look around again and then at Jason. He answers this time. "He didn't know. We never told him. Their parents weren't comfortable with them knowing that they had powers. So we kept it hidden. He still doesn't know they have powers; they just got scared of their wolves and that they were triplets when they shifted and not blood-related."

"Ladies, I think you have had enough excitement for one day. I would like you to come over to meet my mother and Grandmother if you are up to it. But it doesn't have to be now."

"Are we safe here?" I asked him. I felt like we were safe, but I didn't know if the others felt that way or not, and I hadn't asked them yet.

"I promise you that no one will ever take you away from this pack. I would like you to come to the packhouse tomorrow to get you joined to our pack; that way, your link to the Silver Moon pack is severed. I don't want them to be able to track you down, and from what you have said, they are going to realize real soon that they don't have all the happy-go-lucky feelings that they had while you three were there. While you are at the house, you can also meet my family. I will promise you this as well. Your powers would be your secrets if you chose to tell others about them; that is up to you, and as I said earlier, my mother would love to have ladies to train. But that is up to you three if you want that that or not. I will never push you to use your powers for anything that you do not feel comfortable doing or that you do not volunteer for. That is not how this pack works. Come early in the morning so you can have breakfast."

We all thank him and tell him we will see him at the packhouse for breakfast in the morning. We go back into the house and sit down with Jason and Grandma and talk over the events that had happened. None of us expected the Alpha to be that calm about it and so accepting of us. Grandma just smiled at us and said, "Well, this is not an ordinary pack. There are some pretty special people here. That's why I knew he would be okay with you all coming here. Now that we have that out of the way, Ladies, help Jason unload the truck and then come in and get cleaned up, and I'll make us all something to eat. Jason, your room is up the stairs the first door on the right."

Thank you for taking the time to read my work. I hope you are enjoying it so far. Feedback is greatly appreciated.
