So What's the Plan?

"That way," Kardon added, "We'll pressure the Briston forces while dealing with their strongest officials."

Tapping his finger on the table in a slow, syncopated rhythm, Nadon asked, "And what comes after that? Fights to the death until one side's commanders are done in and victory is won?"

Somewhat stifled, Kardon nodded.

Nadon heaved a long sigh. "In that case… I don't like this plan. There are too many uncertainties and there's no telling which side will come out on top."

"I thought you were confident in your fight against Assistant General Sodun?"

Everyone's gazes shifted to Elder Baston, who continued, "If you, the strongest man the city has at their disposal, can win your fight, then this strategy is perfect. Because all we'll have to do is stall until your victory. Then, you'll be able to join Hathon against Tuskar before wiping out the rest of the commanders."
