12. Moniyan empire

We reached the gates of Moniyan empire after two hours, "So what are your plans?" Alaster asks me.

"Nothing, I just came here because I don't know what to do."

"Really?"

"Yeah."

"Then how about take a rest for today and think about what to do."

"Not bad but I'm not planning to rest, could we practice fighting? As I'm pretty inexperienced in actual combat"

"Oh sure, let's do it then"

As me and Alaster was fighting near a forest, the ground trembled due to a huge shock, the tremor, accompanied by a loud noise, as if a meteor fell from the sky and hit the ground.

"It's from the castle!" Alaster exclaims.

As we head towards the empire we see an arc on top of the castle, broken invisible layer of protection around it which slowly starts to fade, and a broken castle wall.

"What kind of force did they use to break through that protection?! It was supposed to be unbreakable." Says Alaster as we both rush towards the castle.

We proceed to enter the castle, it's chaos in here, the whole floor is filled with blood, it was a gruesome view.

We hear noises of fighting from upstairs.

"Let's go there."

"Do you need to say it?" I replied.

Suddenly, I get hit by something, which sends my senses flying right on the spot.

"What Happened?!" Alaster screams.

I don't know what am I doing anymore

"Watch out!" says Alaster as he sees something approaching me, immediately slamming it with his shield to avoid having it getting close to me.

I regained my senses, what on the earth was that?

I see a purple creature in front of Alaster, it's man shaped, has huge nails and dark pink hair.

A lady appeared from thin air, as if she was invisible. She's wearing white hooded robe, and black tights, with a huge claw like weapon attached to her left hand.

"Natalia, what's the situation?"

"Don't ask me, it's terrible."

Then Natalia slits the throat of that purple creature.

"Don't go upstairs if you don't have a death wish." Says Natalia.

"Guess I have a death with then. What are you going to do?"

"I'll do my job."

"Alright."

We start heading upstairs as they finished their conversation.

"How do you feel, Lucifer?" Alaster asks me as we run through the stairs.

"Afraid, I suppose." I replied.

"Suit yourself, I will assure your safety."

"Thanks."

As we reach a hall, we see four people fighting, it's three against one.

"Tigreal!! Are you alright?!" Alaster screams.

"Yes we are! Head to the Emperor's room! Fast!" Replies the armored man with sword and shield.

It doesn't really look like they are in a good condition, but guess we have to prioritize the emperor.

The guy they were fighting looks like a large, well-built man, with green skin and a menacing look on his face. He holds a terrifying giant hammer which looks like it has a soul of its own.

"Let's go." Alaster says.

As I was passing by I saw one of them with a gun get smashed with the hammer against a wall, nothing remains of the person, only words which can be used to explain the look will be red paste.

I was about to vomit but I had to get hold of myself.

"Do you know the name of the person who was using a gun there?"

"She's Kimmy, why?"

"She got turned into a red paste now."

"What?! You can't be serious! Leaving them would mean leaving them to die now!"

"I saw it with my own eyes, I think that's the guy who broke through that invisible layer."

"I suppose so. Let's get back!"

There's no way we can defeat this guy, he took on three at once and yet us, also Alaster is weak against weapon users, what on the earth he's thinking?

As we were on our way, five people appeared in the hall, they're S.A.B.E.R. and told us to go where we were going.

We started going towards the Emperor's room again. We reached the Emperor's room to get greeted by more enemies, we're surrounded.

On the other hand,

The Emperor is dead.
