Chapter 13

"Simon!"

"Magicians! Run! We can't fight them!"

*Boom!* *Boom!*

Chaos started spreading from the rebels side as they saw magicians firing different kinds of magic towards them.

"You can't give up everybody! Either we fight or we all die!" shouted Erza trying to bring back their moral when a fireball flew towards her direction.

*Boom!*

"Erza!" " Nee-san!" Wally and Sho shouted as they saw the fireball explode at Erza, creating a dust cloud preventing them from seeing if she was alive or not.

"A useless geezer like me was good for something after all..." said a voice inside the dissipating dust cloud.

"Rob Jii-san!" Erza said as she saw the back of the old man who managed to block the magic with his body.

"Even though I gave up 'magic' long ago... Erza-chan, you still have so much potential." Rob said to Erza, slowly his vision blurring but remembering the memories he had with Erza and the others.

"'Magic. That's so cool!'

'I'll become a magician someday, and fly around the sky with a broomstick! I'll be free in the sky, and when I do it, I'll take Ojii-san with me!'"

"I never thought I could see a like that again in a place like this." Rob said.

"Ojii-san!"

"Let me show you the final magic of Rob from Fairy Tail! Haaaa!" Rob said and fired of his magic shooting at the masked men knocking them out.

"Freedom is in your heart... Erza-chan, Yyour dream will surely come true..." Rob said as he fell to the ground as his life ended.

"Ojii-san!" Erza fell to her knees near Rob crying and wailing.

"That old shit's dead! Go! Kill those slaves!" A voice said as more of the masked men started appearing and encircling them.

"Reinforcement!? Erza! We need to take Simon somewhere safe! Let's retreat for now!" Wally said while grabbing the unconscious Simon.

"AAAAAAHHHHHHH!" Erza's cry echoed all over the battlefield like trying to call forth something.

"!!!"

*Clink!*

*Clink!* *Clink!*

*Clink!* *Clink!* *Clink!*

"Eh!?"

"T-The weapons are floating... Floating towards us!?" Suddenly weapons all over the place start slowly floating, aiming towards all the masked men in the place attacking them.

"GAAH!" "YARGGH!" "HUAHH!"

The masked men started running all aroudn the, but the weapons followed them like a homing missle.

"NOO!" "SAVE ME!" "HELP!"

Soon, all the masked men in the area were defeated. Only the sound of panting was heard in the whole area.

"Huff! Huff!"

"Nee-san can use magic..." said Sho with stars in his eyes.

"Way to go Erza! She defeated them in an instant!" Wally said.

"This is magic..." Erza said while clenching her fist. 'We can do it! With this power, I can save everyone! Jii-san, I will surely gain my freedom!' with that in mind, Erza raised her sword.

"Come with me!"

A young man with long black hair with a sword in his waist was standing in a rocky field. Around him were unconscious bodies of masked men.

"Hmmm. That tower looks familiar... It's like the tower where they sent me to work as a slave." He said looking at the tower.

"Because it is! It's the Tower of Heaven" said one of the masked men who still wasn't knocked out.

"Really? Then where is the entrance? I need to go help Erza and the others." He said to the only masked man left. Suddenly, he felt a prescence coming towards him. 'Reinforcements? It looks like there are a lot of them.' He thought and knocked out the last masked man and prepared himself for the people coming.

"I can see the ocean!"

"We're free!"

"Freedom!"

Hearing different voices filled with joy, Dino relaxed and finally saw who they were.

Slaves. He can see a lot of the slaves running towards him, and in the front was a young girl with beautiful scarlet hair leading them.

"Erza!" The young man said waving his hand towards the young girl.

"Eh!? Dino!?" Shouted the young girl, confused as to how he was here and shocked seeing the hundreds of bodies all around him.

"Hey! I was just going to look for you!" Dino said to Erza as she approached him.

"Dino! Your eye!" Erza said and ran towards him, tears coming out of her eyes.

Dino caressed her head and said "It's just a scratch."

"No it's not!" Erza hugged him trembling.

Dino sighed and hugged her back while patting her head to calm her down.

After a while they separated and Erza said, "If you're here, where's Jellal?"

"Jellal? I thought that he was with you?" Said Dino.

"He said that he will go save you. If he's not here.... We need to go back! Maybe something happened to him!" Erza said fearing that somethin happened to him.

"Let's go!" Dino said with a nod and started running back towards the tower with Erza in front.

After a while, the two of them managed to reach the part of the tower where they punish the slaves.

As they started going deeper in the place, Dino's face started forming into a frown "Stay behind me!" Dino said taking the front.

"Huh? Why?" Erza asked, but still followed his instructions.

"I smell blood." He said, and as the deeper they go in the place the heavier the stench of blood he can smell.

Erza follows behind Dino while gripping her sword tightly. After a while they reached a door, Dino can smell the blood came from the other side and held his sword ready to attack before opening it.

Inside they saw bodies... no chunks of meat scattered all around with blood splatters everywhere.

"Blergh" Erza vomitted from the scene, while Dino patted her back while keeping vigilant.

After a while Erza tried her best to calm down, "Erza, how are you feeling?" asked Dino with Erza saying she's fine, but her pale face and constant shivering said otherwise. Dino pulled out a blanket from his necklace and covered her head then grabbed her hand going towards the other exit.

After exiting the place from the otherside, Dino said "Let's rest for a while. You definitely don't look good."

"No! We need to find Jellal, what if something happened to him!?" Erza said stubbornly while looking straight to Dino's eye.

He can see that even though she's afraid, her will to save her friend still overcomes her fear. Knowing that she won't back down, Dino sighs and they continued walking through the place.

After walking past two more rooms, they saw Jellal walking ahead of them.

"Jellal!" Shouted happily seeing his friend was ok and ran towards him.

"Jellal! It's all over! We all fought back, just like Dino said! Dino lost an eye but he's safe! Simon was badly wounded and Rob Ojii-san protected me... and there were plenty more sacrifices but... But we beat them! Now we can all be free!" Erza said emotionally as she grabbed Jellal's hand and tried to drag him.

"Come on! Wally and the others found a ship. We can finally leave this island!" She said dragging Jellal, but couldn't move him.

"Er...za..." Jellal said weakly.

"Erza! Get away from him!" Dino yelled and ran towards them with his sword at hand. He goes in between them and used the back of his sword towards Jellal's stomach, sending him away a few meters from the two.

"Dino!? What are you doing!?" Erza said shocked from the sudden attack of Dino.

"Erza stay back; and you, who are you and what have you done with Jellal?" Dino said while pointing his sword towards Jellal.

"HAHAHAHAHHAHA! As expected of you Dino. But you're wrong, I am still Jellal! I just came to realise that what we should truly strive for is no mere fleeting freedom!" Jellal said with a menacing smile on his face.

"W-What are you saying Jellal!?" Erza said.

He the lifted his hands towards us. "Erza... I seek true freedom... Zeref's world..."

"What happened to you Jellal?!" Erza was shocked of what Jellal said.

"Nothing happened. My eyes were just opened. I can understand now. They were trying to bring Zeref back into this world. But they were pitiful believers who could not feel their masters presence. Right...!?" Jellal said as he slowly walked towards one of the masked men lying around before crushing his head without mercy.

Dino dashed towards Jellal to knock him out with his sword, while Jellal fired a magic blast towards him. Dino ducked to dodge the blast, but suddenly the magic blast accelerated so fast that he didn't managr to dodge in time. 'Fast, no It's me who'se moving slowly. Time manipulation magic!?' is the only thought Dino had before the magic blasted him to the wall almost knocking the out wind out of his lungs.

*Bang!*

"Gahh!"

"Dino!" Erza ran towards Dino as he pulled himself out of the wall, blood covering his body.

"I'm fine. Get back for now." Dino said and tried to stand but with the injuries he got earlier and the impact from the wall was too much even for him.

"Jellal! Please come to your senses!?" Erza yelled with tears coming out of her eyes.

Jellal started walking towards them with a disappointed look on his face and said, "Very well, if you want to leave then leave. But all the others will stay here."

"What do you mean!? Everyone else is at the ships waiting for us!? They're all waiting for us!?" Erza said.

"No! They belong to me! This tower belongs to me and I will finish the R-system! I will need enough manpower to finish it, but don't worry I won't be like them. I will give them food, give them clothes, and let them rest. Controlling workers through fear and force is far too inefficient." Jellal said.

"Jellal, get ahold of yourself!? They're all waiting for us! Let's all leave this island forever!?" Erza tried one last time, but to no avail.

"Useless!" Jellal said and fired a ball of magic towards Erza. Dino tried to block the strike, but hands made of darkness came out from the floor and threw him away.

*Boom!*

"Jellal... Please open your eyes..." Erza said, but before she can speak more another two hands made of darkness came out of the floor and started choking her.

"Ohh Erza... My eyes are more open that ever. It's you who can't see the greatness of Zeref. Maybe you don't need yours then... Hahahaha." With those words, one of the hands chocking her ripped out one of her eyes while the other threw her to where Dino was and caught her.

"You bastard!" Dino laid down Erza gently on the ground and started dashing towards Jellal.

Hand kept coming out from the ground, but Dino either dodges or cuts them down. Seeing that the hands are useless, Jellal started firing-off magic towards Dino.

*Boom!* *Boom!* *Boom!* *Boom!*

"Dino!" Erza shouted watching the scene similar to what happened to grandpa Rob.

*Woosh!* *Shing!*

Dino came out of the dust cloud with blood all over his body. He's tired and his breathing is haggard but it didn't matter to him. His only thought was to cut down the person infront of him.

*Slash!* *Boom!*

As soon as his sword touched Jellal's skin, Dino felt his movement slow down again resulting in Jellal backing away before he was cut in half.

Dino didn't care and dashed as fast as he could towards Jellal to deliver a finishing blow, but ultimately stopped when he a hug behind him.

"Dino! Please stop! It's enough!" Said Erza, hugging Dino from behind trying her best to stop Dino from killin Jellal.

"Useless!" Jellal shouted sending a magic wave towards the two sending back.

*Boom!*

Dino and Erza went flying back, but Dino immediately turned around and Hugged Erza cushioning her from their fall.

*Bang!*

"You almost killed me there Dino... How about I kill those people on the ship then... Maybe I'll start with Sho, Hehehehe." Jellal said while stopping the wound on his stomach with the hands made of darkness.

"No! Please stop, we'll leave. Just please don't kill them." Erza replied before Dino can say anything.

"Very well, I don't need you two anymore. But you should know the consequence of this place being discovered. If we were to be discovered, this tower and everyone on it will need to be destroyed. By the way, should one of you be sighted near the tower, I will start with killing your friends first. THAT IS THE PRICE OF YOUR 'FREEDOM'!!! LIVE ON, WITH THE LIVES OF YOUR NAKAMAS RESTING ON YOUR BACK, ERZA AND DINO!!!! HAHAHAHAHAHA!"

Not the best work I've written, but it reached 2k words. Maybe try 3k next... Maybe...

I'll fix any mistakes later since I haven't proofread it yet.
