Kid was sinking in a sea of rage; his eyes were filled with anger and murderous intent.
Losing an arm was nothing compared to the price of challenging the Four Emperors. But hearing that Killer had been experimented on by Kaido and transformed into a person who could only laugh was unbearable.
He knew that Killer had always despised his own laughter. Not only did Killer avoid laughing, but he even wore a mask to cover his face.
To think that Killer, who hated laughing, had been turned into a person who could only laugh—"Kaido!!!"
"But is it all just a coincidence? Kaido, who was about to commit suicide by jumping off Sky Island, happened to fall right in front of Kid's alliance—could this really be a coincidence? Did he truly come there intending to commit suicide? Wouldn't he know that jumping off Sky Island wouldn't kill him?" Luke shifted the topic.
The people in front of the screen frowned.
What did this mean?
Was it not a coincidence but something intentional?
Kid suddenly looked at Luke. Was there some sort of conspiracy here?
"Originally, Kid's goal wasn't Kaido but the Four Emperors Red-Haired Shanks. His aim in forming the Pirate Alliance was to challenge Shanks. However, Kaido's interest in him was another matter entirely.
For pirates entering the New World, there are three choices: challenge the Four Emperors to become the new Four Emperors, surrender after defeat, or die.
The Four Emperors view these potential Supernovas as fresh blood to expand their power. If they can be subdued, they become valuable additions to their crews.
Kaido, therefore, had his eyes on these Supernovas. He wouldn't wait for them to come to him; he'd seek them out if necessary.
But finding them himself was too troublesome. The New World's seas are treacherous, and searching for pirates with no fixed location is difficult. So Kaido devised another plan.
He secretly subdued a Supernova and had that individual form an alliance with others, then informed Kaido of their location so he could capture them."
Upon hearing this, Kid's eyes widened in fury. He had been deceived.
The people in front of the screen were also shocked. This seemingly reckless Kaido turned out to be so cunning.
Kaido had even used a spy to subdue the Supernovas!
"This Supernova is Apoo, who secretly allied with Kaido and then deceived Kid and Hawkins into pretending to form an alliance to challenge Red-Haired Shanks, only to betray them to Kaido.
Kaido destroyed Kid's ship after jumping from Sky Island, cutting off their escape and leading to their capture."
Kid was furious, his red hair now resembling a blazing flame.
"Apoo!" he roared. Betrayed by such a despicable person, "I'm going to kill him!"
Kid was consumed with rage. He wanted to kill Apoo and then settle accounts with Kaido in the New World.
Killer, though also angry at the betrayal, remained relatively calm. He realized that their true problem was not just the betrayal but their own lack of strength. If they were stronger, they wouldn't have to fear Kaido, no matter how treacherous he was.
The New World was proving to be more dangerous than they had anticipated.
But this also taught them a lesson: forming a Pirate Alliance is not something to be taken lightly. The Four Emperors are not only powerful but also cunning and ruthless. One mistake could lead to death.
"With Kaido's schemes, the eleven Supernovas of the Worst Generation, including Hawkins, Apoo, and Drake, have all been brought into his camp. Kid was imprisoned, and Killer was reduced to a laughing shell of his former self.
Moreover, Law, Luffy, and Zoro, who arrived in Wano later, mean eight of the eleven Supernovas have gathered in Wano.
If Kaido manages to subdue all eight of them, it could recreate the scene of the Rocks Pirates of old..."
Just imagining it sent shivers down people's spines. If Kaido subdued these eight, it would be a nightmare.
Fortunately, that isn't the case. Currently, only three have joined the Beasts Pirates, while the remaining five stand against Kaido.
However, the situation remains dire. With Kid on Luffy's side, Kaido's additional Supernovas keep the balance precarious.
The outcome of this battle remains uncertain.
If Kaido wins, these eight Supernovas could all fall under his control, a disastrous scenario for the world.
But if Kaido fails, it would mean the fall of one of the Four Emperors.
This battle is of world-class importance, and everyone is eager to see its outcome.
Hearing Luke's words, Kaido considered the potential benefits of subduing these eight. It would significantly advance his goal of becoming Pirate King.
Yet, the more potential these Supernovas had, the more rebellious they were, making them difficult to subdue.
Kaido could only ponder this as he faced the reality of hunting geese and being pecked by them.
Meanwhile, Luke continued:
"When Luffy and Kid were recuperating in prison, Luffy encountered an old man named Hyogoro. Hyogoro had been close to Kozuki Oden and was imprisoned after Oden's death.
Luffy, feeling that his Armament Haki was insufficient to break Kaido's defenses, sought Hyogoro's guidance to master advanced Armament Haki.
During the two years Luffy trained under Rayleigh, he had only learned the basics of Armament Haki—winding and hardening—but lacked more advanced techniques.
Hyogoro taught Luffy the Emission technique, allowing Armament Haki to flow and be released from the body. Luffy began practicing this technique in prison.
