The Main Character Has Arrived

After what felt like an infinity of silence and anticipation, Julius' eyes finally opened. Along with his ability to see, he was bombarded by all of his other senses. The first thing he could hear was the muffled sound of a distressed young girl yelling at the top of her lungs.

"Young master! Are you finally waking up after all this time?" A young 16-year-old girl whose short body was dressed in a maid dress could be heard yelling at what seemed like a lifeless body on top of a large king-sized bed.

Her voice started to become more clear as Julius slowly regained all of his senses once again. A sudden smile appeared on his face as his eyes glimmered with excitement.

'I have transmigrated!' He thought to himself with pure happiness in his heart.

Immediately, he tried to get out of bed. However, on trying to use his core muscles to sit up, a shock of pain jolted through his body like a lightning bolt, stopping him from moving.

"What the hell is this? I can't move my body at all!" He yelled out loud in confusion.

"Spoke... the young master just spoke!" The young maid seemed to be very confuzzled. "How are you feeling? Is everything okay with your eyesight? What about your hearing?" She hurriedly spoke, inspecting every part of Julius' body.

"Who... who the hell are you?" Julius uncomfortably said as the maid touched him in every part of his body.

"Oh right! You have never talked to me or even seen me once in your life. Ever since you went into a coma-induced state at age 6 because of mana blockages, you have never once opened your eyes all this time." The young maid said, embarrassingly removing her hands from Julius' body.

'Mana blockages!? So... mana truly exists in this world!' Julius became even more excited, noticing only the good in what the girl had said.

"You are my maid correct?" He asked, now knowing his situation a little bit more, he decided to act a little more formally.

After a slight pause, the young girl replied. "Yes. I am Karla Sedone, your nobility's humble maid." The girl said, bowing slightly.

"Karla... give me food." Julius asked with a completely serious expression on his face as he curled his eyebrows and looked at the young girl intensely.

Karla paused. She needed to reassure herself that what she just heard was the right thing. "Did you say... food?" She asked confused.

"Yes..." Julius barely managed to say before falling back unconscious on his bed.

"Oh my! Young master!" The young girl said before quickly leaving the room in a distressed state.

A while after she left, Julius regained his consciousness and surveyed his surroundings, looking all around the room he was in and trying to determine the technology of the place. It was quite a fancy, large room. Equipped with new and spotless furniture and a large crystal chandelier that hung in the middle of the ceiling. It looked like the room of a person with a lavish lifestyle.

The technology in the room however didn't seem to be too overly advanced. He concluded that he was most likely in a more medieval time period. He also took a look at his new body.

It was pale, scrawny, and visibly malnourished. Honestly, it looked quite pathetic.

'What a shit-pile of a body this is. It seems that I can't even stay awake for more than five minutes before falling unconscious. Before I do anything, I will need to try to find a way to fix this mana blockage disease, and make my body stronger.' He thought to himself before pausing to think.

<Mana blockage detected in the body. Removing all bad status effects now.>

The system spoke for the first time since coming into this new world.

'Oh yeah! The system!' Julius excitedly thought to himself on hearing these words.

Almost instantly, the gloomy and tired feeling he felt just before had vanished. Now, he felt as though his veins and airways had expanded slightly, allowing life to refill his nearly deceased body. This body of his felt energy once again after many years.

'Wow... my biggest problem solved, just like that. I must say, this system is amazing!'

After taking a deep breath, Julius sat up from his bed and placed his feet on the ground. Out of nowhere, another shock of pain erupted from his feet as he put weight on them and stepped on the ground.

'I guess this is the result of being bedridden for so many years. My bones are so weak that I feel excruciating pain from just trying to walk.' He thought to himself as he gritted his teeth and pushed himself up from his bed.

All of the weight of his body was now being put on of feet. The pain was initially extremely excruciating, however, quickly calmed down after the first couple of steps. Even though he had not walked for over 10 years, he was still a human who had the experience of walking before. He got used to it quickly.

As he tried to walk a little more, the door to his room sprung open, slightly surprising him.

"Young master! You should not be up!" The maid said suddenly as she stopped pushing the cart of food in front of her and quickly came to Julius' aid.

"I'm okay, there's no need to worry so much. Just bring me the food." Julius tiredly said as he sat back down on the bed with the help of Karla.

Karla pushed over the cart which held a plethora of different dishes that Julius had never even seen before in his life back on earth. Different types of fruits and meat that still looked similar to that of earth's but only slightly different.

Red apples with stripes of yellow, A large chicken which seemed to also have three legs, a drink that was blue in color, and just a normal-looking pineapple... However, Julius paid little attention to subtle differences and started to chow down as he had never done before.

The speed at which he consumed his food shocked Karla who stood near holding a steel plate to her chest.

'Wow... I guess he really hasn't eaten solid food in over 10 years. Is it okay for him to eat meat straight away like this?' She thought to herself as she stared at Julius eat.

'This food. It's so good! The flavor! It's not something I've ever tasted before. The way it melts on my tongue the moment I put it in my mouth. It's almost as though food in itself tastes much grander here in this new world, it's truly a sight to behold!!' Julius thought to himself.

As he ate, he asked Karla for more information about his life. Seeing as he had already been in a coma, it was perfectly normal for him to ask this in his situation, and wouldn't make him seem like a person from another world.

When proposed this question, the young girl seemed to be quite flustered still, but she replied to the best of her ability. "Your name is Julius Menthaven, the young master of the Sades nobility, which is a lower-class noble family residing in the city of East Hayuir."

"You were adopted into the family, and have retained your original name of Menthaven which was written on your forehead when you first randomly arrived at the doorstep of this noble family. Other than that, the only thing I suppose you should know is that you were diagnosed with a mana blockage disease at age six and fell into a coma ever since then. And now, you have miraculously awoken. Even I am still taken aback by this." She finished speaking, still staring at Julius eat.

"Is that so?" Julius said. As he finished his food, the door suddenly swung open quite abruptly once again.

This time, another unfamiliar person walked through the door. He looked like a 40-year-old man whose tall and sturdy body looked was covered by new clothes and a bright green robe. He scratched his short grayish-brown beard as he walked over to Julius' bedside.

Karla bowed slightly at the sight of him as she stepped to the side.

"Do you remember me? Son?" He asked in a low and slightly anxious tone as he stopped scratching his beard. His voice was rough but still held emotion.

Julius didn't exactly know what to say, but he could see that the old man clearly had been anticipating this moment for a long time.

"Ye-Yes, I do... father." He said, trying to make the man who was apparently his father feel a bit better.

On saying this, Julius was suddenly met by a tight hug. "Haha! I knew my boy would remember me! Why wouldn't he! He is my son after all!" The man suddenly blurted proudly as he smiled big and lifted Julius' scrawny body into the air.

Although Julius' body was skinny, it wasn't exactly a small skeleton, he was still 16 years old after all. The sheer strength of the man surprised Julius.

Give me some reviews.
