“If only there had been a second chance! I will love you with all my heart!” Katherine closed the eyes of her one and only son with tears of blood in her eyes. Katherine, the second wife of the emperor Christian De Fasanovia, did everything to make sure that her son would be the emperor. So when her other concubines attacked the crown prince, she closed her eyes. Her only goal was to save her son and for that she wanted him to be emperor, the ultimate power and authority. On the day her husband died, she was more than happy, as the crown prince was already dead and now only her son was left! With the crown in her hands, she went to welcome the new power only to see him drinking poison by himself with a cold smile on his face. “If I get another chance, I never want you to be my mother!” He closed his eyes with hatred towards his cold and cruel mother only to open his eyes when he was 5 again. "Then I shall be leaving." Chris blinked. He forgot that she was still standing there when the events of the past flashed in front of his eyes.
"Wait!" he asked abruptly when he saw her turning. "Are you okay?" he asked before he could think rationally when she blinked.
The shock in her eyes told him that he was a fool to ask such a question and he cursed in his heart but maintained the aloof expressions on his face when she nodded her head in understanding.
"You do not need to worry about it, your majesty. My conditions would never affect the image of yours or the second prince." she replied in a tone that was used by a servant towards his master that he flinched.
He wanted to tell her that he was worried about her, not about his image but when he contorted to look at her soulless eyes, the words died in his mouth and he nodded blankly.
Before he could think of a better way to ask if she was okay? She had already left the garden and he sighed.
