As soon as the carriage stopped, Kath held Luci in his arms while holding the hand of Len with her other hand.

She walked them to their rooms and only then did she come back to hers.

"You do not need to worry about us so much." said Len when she placed Luci on his bed and then asked the maid to warm the milk for Len.

"I am fine. You can go and rest too.`` She looked exhausted. Especially after meeting that woman in the boutique.

He was about to ask her to look for dresses for herself too but he changed the idea when he looked at her stressed figure.

"Mmmm, still drink milk and sleep. Do not study till late." she said and just when he thought that she would leave, she placed her hands on his shoulders and then kissed his forehead gently.

"Good night son!" she whispered softly and then left.

How much time had passed when Len blinked and then touched his forehead. The warmth of her touch was still left there.
