The crow was closing in on me quickly and within a few seconds it was right above me. I dived forward into my shadow barely dodging the beast's giant tarsus that was almost as big as my entire head. The beast flew past me and turned around coming back for a second strike but this time I didn't run. Running from this beast was useless since it was faster than me and using [Shadow Swim] while being chased by another Shadow user and a D ranked one at that is pointless. I doubt a D ranked beast with Shadow affinity wouldn't have anyway to harm me while using [Shadow Swim]. I gripped the [Shadow Reaper] that was in my hand tightly as I imagined what I was going to do. My eyes glowed dark purple as I readied my Shadow to respond at anytime, seeing this the beast must have took it as a challenge as it opened it's beak and inside I could see the same blue flames that were in it's eye socket.
