LOVE

LIENNA

After the Grammys, Sam told me to wait for him in the car while he makes a call. So, here I am sitting in the passenger seat of his white BMW, waiting for him. I feel so good right now. Like that heavy feeling has finally been uplifted from my chest. It feels so peaceful to tell him (though he already knew), and to let everyone know that it's us, we are together, we are one. I am smiling like a fool recalling how he jumped to the stage and just kissed me. God, I love him. I am brought out of my fantasies when I hear the car door shutting as Sam sits in the driver seat and buckles up the seatbelt. Then he turns to me and smiles while shaking his head as I furrow my brows.

"What?" He doesn't say anything but just unbuckles his seatbelt, inches closer to me, so close, and I look at him all flustered and confused until his hands grab my seatbelt and pull it around me to buckle me. I bite my lower lip and my cheeks redden feeling embarrassed. I look to the window hiding my flushed face, but he grabs my face softly turning me to him and looks at me deeply.

"What are you so embarrassed about, love? I am glad you let me do things like this, I get to have a closer look at you because I just can't seem to have enough of looking at that gorgeous face of yours."

Oh my god. I am dead, aren't I? How come I am still alive; I am sure my heart is beating too fast to be alive still. He grins and kisses my cheek-left then right-and finally gives me room to breathe. I literally forget to breathe in his presence.

"I hope you are not tired. I am taking you somewhere nice." I am. But if it's him and I, I have no problem.

"I am not. Let's goo!" He laughs and holds my right hand softly bringing it to his mouth as he plants a sweet little kiss there making me feel butterflies in my whole body. He is just so gentle with me. And sometimes this gentleness is enough to kill me and knock me out of my breath. He doesn't let go of my hand, instead he intertwines our fingers and keeps our interlocked hands on his lap. And drives with his other hand. One hand. The sleeves of his cream-colored sweater are folded up to his forearm and I can clearly see his veins. I am not going to survive this.

"Do you wanna play some songs?" He asks, his gaze focused on the road as he drives the car. I smile.

"How about like old times? Let me play Chase Atlantic." He laughs and looks at me then, smiling that wide smile as if I am the most adorable.

"Let's relive those, love." I grin and go to my phone choosing a good song from my playlist-which is hard since all their songs are best-but my fingers stop on 'Moonlight' and I play it. Sam caresses my hand he is holding with his thumb and kisses my hand again.

"I remember." He whispers making me smile. We always used to sing this song together on our way to university. It was such a small thing to do but so damn sweet.

"Busy on the weekend, caught up in your own small world~" I chuckle. He still sings it perfectly.

And we both sing along with Chase Atlantic as we drive to the destination.

....

"It's so beautiful, Sam." I say as I get out of the car, and he closes the door.

"Of course it had to be. It's for you." I look at him and roll my eyes at his flattery.

"Aren't you just so obsessed."

"It's impossible to not be."

"Well, it works, 'cause I am just as obsessed to you." He grins then and winks at me making me laugh.

"Now, let's go." He takes my arm and entangles it with his arm, as we walk together. We are at a beautiful seaside restaurant. And the sun is almost rising. Well, of course Grammy's took the whole night. And it's almost 5 right now. The whole area is so quiet and calm and glowing, I don't mind a bit that I am here instead of my bed. As we reach the entrance, Sam stops making me halt too.

"That is our table." He says turning to his right and my jaw drops open seeing the sight in front of me. I bring my hand over my mouth in shock and just keep looking at the front with utter shock. I can't move. I can't blink. I can't breathe. Sam propels me forward as our arms are tangled.

"Love, this is for you." I look at him with my teary green eyes and can't believe it when his hazel eyes glow so beautifully in the sun that's rising right in front of us. He is insanely beautiful.

I again look at the front. There are about 15 people, some holding white roses, red roses, blue tulips, purple tulips, pink lilies and yellow lilies. The rest are holding the big banners of 'Will You Marry Me, Lien?', carefully crafted with red rose petals. There is a round white table with two white chairs around it. The table is lit with candles. And the whole place is lit with the glow of rising sun that's just in the perfect position. Oh my god. The thought he put into this. He removes his arm from me making me look at him again. I am shaken right now. All I am doing is looking here and there like a lost kid. But when he bends down beside me on his knees, and I turn to him, my tears finally come, and I shake my head denying what I know is about to come. He looks at me and smiles and I can see his tears too when he takes out a small white velvet box from somewhere magically and holds it out in front of me. I continue shaking my head as if I want it to stop. I don't. I don't know why I am shaking my head.

"S-Sam..."

"Lienna Taylor..."

"No..." I sob and quickly take my hands to my mouth trying to stop crying. But I can't.

"I love you so much and I know you are already aware of it. We both have waited so long for this moment. I have been practicing day and night about all that I will say to you when it's finally happening but despite all that I had thought, I am just saying what I want to at this moment. I have only loved you, and only love you, and will continue to only love you. I promise to always...a-always give you my warmth even in the cold nights, even if we it's us against the world. I will choose you over and o-over. Will you...will you do me the honor of becoming my wife and being mine forever?" I am crying so pathetically that I can't seem to form words. But I have finally stopped shaking my head so now I nod, vigorously and desperately, wanting him to just read my mind. He smiles while his tears are falling too, and he takes out the ring and makes me wear it. And I quickly hug him while he is still sitting on his knees.

"I-I love you. I love you so much, Sam." His arms encircle me, and he kisses my temple as he whispers,

"I have never felt this way. It's extraordinary." I understand him. This feeling right now is nothing like before.

"I know. I love you." Oh, but what I would give to feel it again and again. I back away as he looks at me so softly and joins our foreheads, wiping my tears gently. I smile and wipe his tears too than hold his face softly as I kiss his right cheek.

"I can't wait to be yours forever."

"I can't wait to make you mine forever." We both smile like two stupid teenagers who have just found love.

And this, I wish this is how we stay forever. Because forever with him has always been my greatest wish.
