Esme was about to back away but Aleister grabbed the back of her head and kissed her fiercely.
As their lips parted, Esme covered her mouth, her face heating up.
She had yet to clean her mouth. And herself too.
Pushing him away softly, she tried to sit up on the bed only to be pulled back by him, ''Let go,'' she frowned.
''Where do you think you are going?" he pulled her into his arms like she was his comfort pillow as he nestled his chin on her head, ''Sleep.''
''It must be chaotic outside.''
''No, I got it handled,'' Aleister said.
Esme's frown turned deeper, ''We have been sleeping since last night.''
''Except we did not do much sleeping, Princess,'' he calmly said.
Esme was tongue-tied for a moment, ''You...''
''Yes, it is me. The man you love with all your existence. You don't have to keep saying it. I heard you the first time.''
Esme's jaws dropped.
