Chapter 4: part 1/3

Carlos POV:

The next morning , I wake up early to cook breakfast and decide to go to Angeline's room...

'I better apologize for last night, I may have gone too far.....after all, she went through a lot in one day....'

Seeing as it's not locked,I open the door to Angeline's room,

"Hey Angeline , about last night....I just wanted to say that I'm sor--"

I look up, only to see Angeline in the middle of changing...she was mostly dressed but she still hadn't buttoned her shirt, giving me a tiny glimpse of-

Angeline: CARLO?!!

Carlo: I'm soo sorry!!

I immediately close my eyes and turn around, slamming the door shut behind me....

'I'm an idiot!!!.....but I gotta say,she did look sexy....

wait! What am I thinking?!'

Angeline's POV:

Right after apologizing, Carlo runs out and slams the door shut behind him....

'H-he saw me.....'

I hurriedly look at my reflection to see just what it was he saw...

'Thank goodness, I'm mostly dressed,but.....'

I look at my shirt, which was still unbuttoned giving a clear view of my bra.....

'Aaaaaaaaahhhhhhh!!!!(internal screaming)

Ok calm down , it's only Carlo.....the Carlo that I'm engaged to and who proposed to me last night.....'

"..."

"AAAAAAHHHHH!!!! What am I thinking?!"

I hold my hands to my head and start messing up my hair.

"Anyways, I better get dressed or we'll be late for school...."

'That's right ,last night Carlo proposed to me.....Up until then I didn't really take him seriously,but after seeing that look in his eyes....I wonder how I feel about him?'

"*Sigh* feelings aside, I wonder how I'm even gonna face him...."

I quickly get ready and step out of my room....

I walk over to the kitchen,and see Carlo near the window....I'm about to call out to him when I stop myself....

'What's he doing?'

I get closer to take a look and see....

"A cat!"

Carlo seems to jump on hearing my voice....the cat on the other hand continues to gulp down milk from a saucer that Carlo must've given it.

After Carlo seems to have regained his composure he speaks ...

"Good morning Angeline, I'm really sorry about this morning , honestly, I came to apologize for being so forceful last night, but ended up walking in on u .... B-but I promise, I didn't see a thing!"

"O-oh, it's fi--" I'm about to forgive him when he continues

".....though it was also partially ur fault"

"WHAT?!" I yell, " how was that my fault?!"

"Well you did leave your door unlocked while you were changing, u knew that a man was staying in your house and yet u didn't bother to lock your door....ur lucky it was me,otherwise who knows what would've happened....or r u saying u want me to attack you?"

Carlo looks at me with a mischievous look in his eyes, the sudden change in his demeanor sends my heart into a tailspin.

"T-true , I should've locked my door....but you could've atleast knocked before walking in!"

"Well, I guess we're both at fault then."

Carlo gives me one of his signature smiles....

'Ugh, that smile..... But.....It feels like we've gone back to normal...'

Just then I see the cat that Carlo was feeding earlier is now purring against him. It was a cute black cat with violet eyes and white paws that made it look like it was wearing mittens, and on its chest was a white marking in the shape of a crescent.

"Wow, he's so cute! Where did u find him?"

Carlo chuckled," I found him sleeping on the window sill, he looked really weak so I thought about feeding him..."

"He's taken a liking to you."

"It seems so....r u jealous?" Carlo asks with a teasing smile.

"Of u or the cat?" I ask returning the tease

"So mean!!....ok,come over here and pet him...."

I go over to them and carefully approach the cat.....it sniffs me once and then almost immediately begins purring against me...

"Wow, that was fast" Carlo says a little shocked...

"I have a way with animals" I reply

"Yeah yeah .....well u were pretty liked by animals when u were younger too"

"Actually there's this other cat, that usually visits me everyday...."

"Really?... I'd like to see it!"

"Sure , if it comes by today that is...by the way why don't we keep this cat? I mean it looks pretty weak....we should atleast keep it until it gets better!"

Carlo seems shocked for a second but then starts laughing

"W-What's so funny?"

" n-nothing ...it's just so like you to say something like that!"

"Well, I cant help it....."

"Ok sure, let's keep it"

"Really? Yay!!!What do we name him?"

"Hmmm....I don't know, it was your idea so why don't u decide.....but first,let's finish eating our breakfast before it gets any colder than it already is..."

"Ok!"

We put off naming the cat and finish eating....after which,we head to school...
