Empyrean Chronicles

The Empyrean Humans. The Paragon Beasts. The Ancient Faes. The Primal Devils. Each were the Embodiment and Personification of the Four Origin Ordinances. Each wielded power beyond the scope of the Heavens. And each, commanded a portion of the only Founding Realm in all Existence. Now then, what happens when these four overpowered Races decide to house their Bloodlines inside one vessel? It was... a resounding failure. Discarded and thrown into a Lower Realm, it would seem as though Osric, the result of a failed experiment, with no memory of anything prior, would be swept under the tides of the Martial Verse, never to be heard again, until... Until he Awakened. *** Cover is not mine. Found it on Google.

Bloodline

Osric found himself on a large expanse of green grass. The Qi here appeared to be so rich and pure every one of his inhales seemed to purge the impurities in his body. To his back was a tree with an enchanting grace. Its leaves alternated between the colors of gold and jade. Above him rolled pure white illusive clouds that almost bordered on reality.

Suddenly, he saw a golden rope stretch out of the white skies towards the earth. It shone with a beauty that left him stunned. The next moment, however, he became even more stunned. Examining it closely, Osric realized that the golden rope was in fact not a rope, but an arm!

An arm stretched so thin it looked no different from a rope. How was that possible? Even for terrifying existences like the Ancestors of the Fahren Clan, it was impossible to stretch one arm that way without suffering a major injury.

Yet, before him, the so-called impossibility was made possible.

'No, whether it is impossible or not is currently not important. What is actually more important is the meaning. What… does this mean? This is related to my Body, no doubt. However, how… is it related?'

Osric suddenly shook his head. He felt this was an improper way to look at the matter.

'Let's try a different approach…'

Titanic Golden Body. The word titanic can mean a lot. It could mean great strength, great force, great power, or even great size. Osric didn't know the one that applied in the case of his Body.

Golden. Or more appropriately, gold. It was an precious metal to both Mortals and cultivators. Although it was extremely malleable and soft, it was dense and durable to the point of being virtually indestructible. Furthermore, it was so beautiful and attractive, nearly all decorations revolved around it.

However, if one looked deep enough, gold, in the cultivation world, had a more revered significance. In the Martial Verse, gold signified extreme importance, regality, power and… purity.

The Fortune Dew was gold in color. The Heavens' Blessings were gold in color. Seina's eyes glowed pure gold. Osric's eyes glowed a regal gold. Virtually almost everything that was of extreme importance in the Martial Verse took the color gold.

And yet, when Osric thought about his Body again, his mind skipped over these hidden meanings and went back to the properties of gold as a precious metal.

'The golden arm stretched… how does that apply to gold? Wait, wasn't gold extremely malleable and ductile?!'

Osric's eyes widened. He suddenly understood. The 'Golden' in his Body wasn't about the hidden meanings of gold, but the extreme malleability and ductility of gold.

Gold was so malleable it could be stretched into thin wires without breaking, without losing its durability, without losing its denseness and heaviness.

In simple terms, his Titanic Golden Body allowed him a frame so flexible he could stretch himself without suffering any injury. Furthermore, it also allowed him a body so durable he was almost indestructible, and that's without mentioning he had also become so heavy a punch from those a Realm or two above him wouldn't make him move an inch.

However, these were just some of its ability. Because gold was a good conductor of heat and electricity, Osric suddenly felt his affinity towards said elements increase by leap and bounds. Moreover, thanks to gold being extremely beautiful and attractive, anyone who saw Osric would always find him pleasing to the eyes.

Osric suddenly smiled. This was a Talent worthy of being above Divine Grade. Although to most, its abilities were useless, Osric could already see several reasons it was ranked above Divine Grade.

For example, no Divine, not even the strongest of them could boast of having perfect control over their bodies to the point of elongating it without suffering tears and breaks. However, the Titanic Golden Body allowed that. It allowed him an extreme flexibility, while at the same time, still kept the nigh indestructibility it came with activated.

And there was the fact these were just one of the abilities of the Titanic Golden Body.

Osric suddenly turned to another scene. Here, a golden man stood. However, what was especially shocking about the man was that he stood at a whopping 25 feet. His veins were like thick cords, almost stretched to breaking point across his body by the bulging muscles that pulsated ever so often.

There was no doubt about it, the second ability of his Body also encompassed the full meaning of the word 'titanic'. In this state, he would possess great size, great strength, great force, great power, great vitality and all other attributes related to his physical body.

Osric clenched his fist, he couldn't wait to test it out. But first, he needed to reach at least the first Realm of the Body Path cultivation. And to even reach that, he needed to aim for the fourth Realm of the Qi Path cultivation. It seems he still has a long way to go.

Within a moment, the scene shattered before him before his mind suddenly vanished.

When Osric came back to himself, he exhaled a hot breath. Although, he hadn't stepped on the Body Path cultivation, he still felt his body strengthen slightly, just by virtue of the fact that he comprehended the abilities of his Body himself.

He instantly turned to his Bloodline. The reason Bloodlines depended on the Body to support it was because they were found in one's blood, and blood is conveyed in one's vein, which is a part of the Body.

The moment Osric peered deeply into his own blood, a mighty pressure seem to descend upon him, nearly sending him into the floor. The pressure was so immense, and it felt as though it wouldn't stop until it saw him on his knees.

However, instead of panicking, Osric only smiled a fiendish grin.

'Cute…'

He thought. And almost immediately, the pressure seemed to multiply by tenfold. It almost felt as though his Bloodline was alive, and was particularly angered by his words. At this moment, Osric's body was already sweating and trembling on the outside, and yet, his mind was the perfect representation of calm.

Suddenly, a manic expression appeared on his face.

This was his blood. This was Bloodline. He owned it. What right did it have to act unruly before him? What right did it have to act so arrogant before him?

'Enough…'

The words had barely left his lips, when the pressure cowered and disappeared without a trace. His gaze penetrated the intricacies of his Bloodline, and almost immediately, the ancient voice came yet again.

Osric felt his mind reel in shock as the words of the ancient voice settled in his brain.

Empyrean Human Bloodline.
