Chapter Seven:

Main Character Pov~

It's been roughly three whole months since we had begun our training, over the past few months a lot had happened. The Old Steelix, had given us a shelter on a house located on the top of the Mountain where its trainer used to live when he was alive. It was surprisingly clean and well-kept.

Turns out the Shiny Crystalline Steelix had been taking care of its Trainer's former home during these past few centuries. What an extremely loyal Pokemon it is. I smiled as I watched the snow fall form the house's window. I heard how all of its former team members had died during certain battles with other clans of this territory, it was such a fascinating story.

It was really interesting to hear all the adventures and places the Steelix had went to when it was young and travelling alongside its trainer. I was amazed by all the stories I was told about, this 288-year-old Pokemon really knew a lot of things. It had extreme wisdom and knowledge as it helped my Pokemon improve and hone their skillset and increase their move pool.

I was really grateful with all the kind gestures and help it had provided.

Other than the extremely cold and rigid weather on top of this mountain, everything was perfect. The wooden house felt really homely, but the weather was indeed surprising as it turns out the maximum temperatures of this world also far exceed those on earth, talk about overdoing it. Alot of progress have been made during these past few weeks.

I had gained new skills and levelled up the old ones. Both Aron and Groudon have experienced drastic boosts in their stats and Levels over these past few months. They even learned tons of new moves.

Especially Groudon..... That Pokemon is becoming more and more terrifying by the day. He was already freakishly strong but ever since he started his training, he had gotten ridiculously more powerful recently.

Every Pokemon in this mountain range treat him as their Guardian Deity who is constantly watching over them. This territory has experienced an invasion from a nearby Pokemon Clan, suffice to say they were single handedly wiped out from existence including their Leader which was a level 209 Pokemon! Groudon utterly demolished them.

The moment they saw Groudon they pissed their pants so hard they forgot how to breathe for a moment. He was currently going on a constant growth spurt; he was getting bigger and bigger every day. It was becoming extremely frightening for anyone who isn't me or Aron.  Aron had gotten extremely used to Groudon's presence by now and they had gotten extremely close, it's as if though they were friends now.

They also train together now, even though it was mostly Aron being constantly KO'd by Groudon with a simple backhand, he was improving extremely fast according to the Steelix who had spent many decades training with his trainer. He believed that Aron had the potential to truly surpass him someday.

Speaking of Aron, he had currently hit Level 158, I know I said I would evolve him immediately after he hits Level 150, but I decided to see for myself how much more difficult levelling becomes for a Pokemon after it steps territory into a new rank. Reaching 150 wasn't as daunting as it was to level it up from 150 to 158. It was truly a huge difference.

Well, I also have had a lot of improvement's regarding Skills, Affinities, Character Status and Pokemon. I will perform a check up on them one by one.

Let's start off with Affinities.

Pokémon Affinities:

You have the following Affinities:

Normal: C [ Uncommon]

Fire: SSS [ Heavenly]

Water: D [ Common]

Electric: D [ Common]

Grass: D [ Common]

Ice: AA [ Super Rare]

Fighting: E [ Very Common]

Poison: AAA [ Epic]

Ground: Z [ Divine]

Flying: D [ Common]

Psychic: D [ Common]

Bug: D [ Common]

Rock: S [ Unique]

Ghost: D [ Common]

Dragon: D [ Common]

Dark: D [ Common]

Steel: S [ Unique]

Fairy: D [ Common]

]

These improvements took a while to attain, I was able to make my Steel and Rock affinity rise to S Rank by maxing out my Bond with Aron. Seems like maxing out Bonds with Pokemon assists in raising affinity rankings. I wonder if evolving a Pokemon with a max bond with you will affect those two Affinities.

What was really hard was increasing my lower rank affinities to D Rank, and Normal affinity to C Rank. It took a very long time and it was just too time consuming for me. Other than that, the unforgiving cold weather of the mountain top was practicing my meditation and exercising it also helped me raise my ice affinity to AA Rank.

Fire was fairly easy considering that Groudon despite being strictly a ground type had a very good connection with Fire which makes sense considering Fire was my secondary affinity for the 'Random Pokemon Ground Type Egg', Primal Groudon also happens to be a double typing of Fire and Ground.

Training my affinities took a very long time as it was a very delicate and lengthy process that required a lot of hard work and dedication. Speaking of hard work and dedication, I have put a lot of effort into raising the Levels of some of my skills too, I made fairly decent results in three months.

At least I think I did, I snorted as I gazed at my Skills list.

You have 12 skills:

As someone wise had once said, ' Consistent improvement is better than zero improvement at all'.

- A very wise man.

But perhaps the most mind-blowing change was my character status, as we had begun our training for the year, I had finally begun experiencing some sweet level ups. Which hadn't occurred in quite a sizeable amount of time.

Things were really looking up for me.

I currently have 100 available points, huh? I don't see a reason why I shouldn't use it now; my stats are already low. To ensure my survival, I will make my stats more acceptable.

As you can see, My Trainer Level went up by 32 during just these past three months. I was now a Level 42 according to the system. Seems like increasing your Bond with a Pokemon, training and catching Pokemon all a vital role in levelling your trainer. Your Pokemon are linked to your Level, you can't increase it without a Pokemon.

Which makes sense considering what kind of world I was stuck in. This whole world is pretty much Pokemon-Oriented, Pokemon played a major part in the history of advancement of countless civilizations across ancient times and even now in the modern age.

I also learned that this world had approximately 12 months just like the world I came from, despite it being literally 2,600 times larger and having 5.2 the gravity of earth. It was also currently May First, which means that 4 months and a half ago, I was in the middle of January which just so happens to be the day I died in my previous world.

What a freaky coincidence.

I was able to learn all this information from the Ancient Steelix who seemed rather confused by my questions but answered them anyways.

I also got roughly 25 times richer than I was before, it turns out the old trainer of the Steelix had some money inside of a vault on his old house inside his mountain. Roughly over 24.2 million Pokedollars.

I already had a million from before which was already considered an extreme head start for beginner trainers such as myself, but now....  I can hardly call my myself a beginner trainer anymore despite not being a registered or licensed trainer in the first place, both my Pokémon and my finances were no longer by any means 'Rookie Level'.

Another thing I found out that the Pokedex can act as a High-Class Visa for trainers, but you need to be registered in the system.

As I learned of this, I checked out my Pokedex account and learned that I was indeed registered in the system. So, I was basically considered a legal citizen, I had a mail account and everything.

As for the account credentials, I had received a mail from a random account user who turned out to be Osiris, the same god who sent me here, with a message saying, 'Thank me once we meet again, - Your lord and saviour Osiris.' I immediately facepalmed in reaction, this guy basically hacked into the system and made a bank account and Poke Pass for me, which is the Passport version of the Pokemon World, I learned I had roughly 100,000 in there, which is not much compared to what I had on me right now, but I guess I should be grateful he thought of it beforehand.

So, I didn't have to worry about making any bank accounts, passports or anything like that. Both my name and ID were already in the system, more specifically the system of the Kanto Region. It had my age and birth, my name, blood type and I was written off as an Orphan in this world. In this account I was considered as a citizen of the Kanto Region, which is my apparent home region. I was also apparently written off as a 16-year-old of unknown origin and unknown birth, nothing much was known about where I originated from. There was also no image of me.

I had to register first at a Pokemon Centre to actually count off as an actual trainer, which makes sense. I planned to do so in 9 months from now. I needed to have an actual trainer ID, which costs a hefty sum of 10,000 Pokedollars each card, one of the requirements of being a trainer was having atleast one Pokemon. Pokedex were recommended but they weren't mandatory as they were extremely pricey in this world.

Now though, I should go check on Aron and Groudon. I said going outside of the small wooden house and saw a Massive 40.5 meters tall Golden Armourd Pokemon sleeping outside, I whistled at how big he had gotten over these past three months and shook my head as I remembered how he was going to get even bigger.

Thankfully Groudon has his passive ability as a Legendary using aura to support and provide what's needed for his body Growth. Legendary Pokemon didn't require food or sleep, but they get so bored they can't help but sleep around and become curious enough to try human food.

Pokemon can use Aura to nourish their bodies and when Pokemon become powerful enough they can use Aura to nourish their bodies passively without any sort of medium such as food, water or sleep. But this process was only ethical for Level 100 Pokemon and above.

If lower level Pokemon tried doing this constantly they would run out of energy and power and die. Legendary Pokemon, Ultra Beasts and Mythical Pokemon are an exception since they can do this passively at birth.

Humans can do this too, but only once every once in a while, as they are mostly too weak to do it constantly. Pokemon are built differently and are much more powerful than us.

I shook my head and focused back on Groudon.

' Groudon is sleeping again, he seems to not like the cold very much.' I noted as I observed Groudon's stats.

Just look at all these stats and you will understand how much of a monster Groudon is. This thing jumped by a hundred levels in just three months' worth of training. I also gained the ability to see what my Pokemon like and dislike after reaching level 50 on my observe skill.

It literally absorbed everything and every move I tried to teach him with the help of Aron and the Steelix and even used some of TMS I found in the wooden hut, this thing just learned them instantly.

To top it off, it wasn't even taking training as seriously as Aron was!

This Groudon is 40.5 meters tall, and it was only 25% through its growth phase. According to my estimates, it should reach 162 meters by the times its fully grown. That's literally bigger than Mecha-Godzilla from that Movie, Godzilla vs Kong.

Legendary Pokemon are really unfair to use against other trainers, but was I willing to use him if it meant winning National League Tournaments after completing the Gym Circuit requirement? Hell, yes, I am!

Should I go the Tobias route and appear out of nowhere and keep using Groudon to sweep through the tournament? That sounds really cruel to anybody who is facing me to be honest. Shiny Aron will definitely catch attention once he fully evolves into an Aggron. A shiny fully evolved Pokemon of Aggron's calibre was extremely rare and him being able to Mega Evolve is another matter entirely.

' Let alone a Shiny Legendary such as Groudon, the media blow up will be huge. Should I wear a mask? ' I mused in my thoughts as I shook my head.

Shiny Pokemon are extremely rare according to what the Steelix told me as only a low percentage of trainers have such Pokemon in their possession, he had also told me that it was nearly impossible for any trainer to possibly catch Shiny Legendaries due to how rare they are, catching a legendary was already something only a few could have the capability of doing.

Most trainers catch Legendaries when they are either young or low levelled and have atleast one level 150 - 200 + Pokemon in their possession. Legendary Pokemon are literally the mythology of this world personified, each one a deity representing an aspect of conceptual value worthy of divinity. They represented and embodied these conceptual aspects as Personifications after all.

Groudon was such a being, capable of flipping this entire region on itself in a matter of moments. Not that destroying a region was difficult for extremely high Levelled Non-Legendary Pokemon either, which shouldn't come as surprising. This world was truly filled to the brim with dangers and thrills.

I had wondered countless times whether or not I will encounter other trainers with Legendary Pokemon? Mainly because a Legendary Pokemon in the wild and a Legendary Pokemon fighting alongside a Pokemon Trainer is two completely different things.

When it comes to Wild Legendary Pokemon, I had already decided on how to correspond.

It all depends on how they perceive me to be honest. If they do attack me, then obviously, I am going to naturally fight back with Shiny Groudon or Shiny Aron when he fully evolves into an Aggron and becomes capable of Mega Evolution. I was going to him to fight Legendaries even if loses badly in end, it was all mainly to gain experience against fighting a Legendary Pokemon.

Besides a Level 200 + Aggron who could Mega Evolve and triple its stats was undoubtedly going to be a worthy adversary for Pokémon such as Ultra Beasts and low level or young Mythical and Legendaries, but it could definitely not outlast the Legendary Pokemon when it comes to stamina.

so, the best way is to try to end the fight as quickly as possible or withdraw should the situation become dire for our dear Aron when he encounters such a situation in the future, we will have Groudon take the lead from there and we would try to capture the legendary, if we even encounter one that is.

That's definitely the best course of action against such a situation. I really can't wait for Aron to become an Aggron.

Speaking of Aron, I should also go and check on him.

I walked past the sleeping Groudon and went to a certain direction in the snowy mountain, after a minute of walking we came across Aron as he trained and practiced his new move, Metal Burst.

He noticed my appearance and gave me a respectful nod before going back to his training.

I nodded back as I chuckled at how hard working, he was. Unlike a certain Shiny Legendary Pokemon I know of.

" Aron, I think it's time to remove your everstone necklace. I believe you're ready to finally evolve now." I told Aron as I knew he wanted to evolve for a very long time now.

Aron's eyes widened and shined brightly as he stopped his training and began cheering and roaring in excitement, saying things like 'Finally! I have been waiting for this for like forever!'.

I chuckled as I walked to him and took of his everstone necklace and put it back to my inventory.

I stepped back as I watched Aron's body shine with the light of evolution as he became a white shiny silhouette of light as the entire land seemingly shook in anticipation as he began growing in size and shape. I was amazed by how his power rapidly increased and how intense his aura became.

He roared as the light began dying down revealing his new form, he was now really big and powerful! He was more than twice my height now. What a freaking giant.

I heard a notification from the Pokedex telling me that my Aron evolved. I brought the Pokedex out as it was speaking on its own, I didn't even scan Lairon.

" Lairon, the Iron Armour Pokemon. Lairon is the evolved form of Aron and the Pre evolved form of Aggron. Lairon is a Steel Type and Rock Type Pokemon. It tempers its steel body by drinking highly nutritious mineral Springwater until it is bloated. This Pokémon makes its nest close to springs of delicious water. For food, it digs up iron ore.

It smashes its steely body against others to fight over territory. It habitually shows off its strength with the size of sparks it creates by ramming its steel body into boulders. Lairon also feeds on iron contained in rocks and water. It makes its nest on mountains where iron ore is buried. As a result, the Pokémon often clashes with humans mining the iron ore.

When two Lairon meet in the wild, they fight for territory by bashing into each other with their steel bodies. The sound of their collision carries for miles, and when their steel bodies collide, sparks fly. During territorial disputes, Lairon fight by slamming into each other. Close inspection of their steel armour reveals scratches and dents. This particular Lairon is caught and Shiny." Ended the Pokedex with a beep as I felt my head hurt from so much information about Aron and its evolution lines.

But hey, you learn something new every day in this world, I put the Pokedex and burst out into laughter.

I laughed as he began to check his own body before comically which was somewhat funny considering his size and fearsome appearance, but eventually stopped as he thanked me for helping him become so powerful.

He recently learned how to speak with me telepathically using his Aura as a medium.

Only humans who can use Aura can speak with Pokemon who use this method, but the Pokemon can speak to humans instead, but that is if said Pokemon is extremely high levelled or Mythical, Ultra Beasts or Legendary.

I returned his thanks with a head pat as he grinned, I saw his new stats. He also surprisingly levelled up a bit, Pokemon evolution can increase levels? I didn't know that..... I allocated the points carefully and observed it.

Incredible, he jumped by ten levels! His Potential also jumped to SS - Rank, Heroic.

32 Levels left before he reaches Level 200, can we do it in nine months? at this rate I think he could. We might even reach it earlier than planned.

One thing I learned about Lairon was his love for justice. This Pokemon really loves being chivalrous apparently.

What a sophisticated personality he has.

Lairon had basically spent a lot of time with the elder Pokemon in this territory learning all the different moves they could teach him. He really enjoys training and combat.

Lairon was a really inspiring Pokemon, I hope every Pokemon I catch end up being as Loyal and Hard working as he is.

He will undoubtedly become a very powerful Aggron nine months from now, I was looking forward to starting our journey together.

" Congratulations Lairon, you finally evolved!" I said as I was patting the Lairon's head.

" LAIRON!" Lairon roared in happiness as he cheered, all the commotion causing the nearby Shiny Legendary to wake up.

In the meantime, I put the Everstone necklace back on Lairon until the time is right for it to be removed from its next and allow for Pokemon Evolution to unfold once more. It will undoubtedly be a beautiful spectacle just like the one that happened now.

Groudon woke up and walked to us causing the top of the mountain shake with each step as it curiously came to check what all the fuss is about as it stood up grumpily.

His massive body causing a massive shadow on everything around him as he towered over us. His eyes fell on Lairon as he noticed its change in appearance, A true 40.5 meters tall giant golden armoured lizard who would make all dinosaurs from my world look puny in comparison.

" Oh? So, this is what all the noise is about, you evolved, Congratulations Aron, oh wait its Lairon now isn't it." The Shiny Groudon's voice boomed and made the surrounding seemingly shake as he spoke, in a very deep masculine voice. Groudon nodded as he congratulated Lairon on his evolution.

Lairon nodded back at Groudon as it confirmed its new name.

Oh yeah, I forgot to mention that Groudon can actually speak in human language now, all Legendary Pokemon apparently gained this ability after maturing a little. I am not really surprised at all, Legendary Pokemon were shown speaking many times in anime and movies.

" It was about time too, I think you were ready for a while now. Wasn't he?" The Shiny Groudon asked as he looked at me now for clarification.

" Yes, he was. About time you woke up Groudon, I was beginning to think you might actually sleep forever at this rate." I nodded before teasing Groudon as little as he snorted at my exclamation.

" Heh, I was just asleep for a whole day. That's not very long, Ayron. Besides if I slept any longer you will start complaining again." Groudon stated with a smirk as he teased me back.

I snorted and chuckled.

" Oh, come on, it's not that bad." I said as I waved my hand around.

Just like that we spent the next few hours talking about things such as training along other things.

I smiled as I watched Groudon and Lairon argue about what kind of metal tastes better.

' This is what life is really about, the Pokemon world might be extremely dangerous but it's also very fun.' I concluded as I decided to go and take a nap for the day.
