Finding Water

Terry who has just taken a quick nap is slowly waking up after about 40 minutes. Opening his eyes he sees everyone still around the campfire each with their own spear.

"Ahh Terry you finally awake here Sam made a spear for you when you were asleep." Colton hands over a spear.

"Thanks." Terry takes a look at the spear wanting to try the item description "Item description." Terry speaks..

'Exactly the same as the first one, well I'm not complaining a weapon is a weapon.' Terry stays up and starts to stretch getting his body ready for their next task. Which is unanimous among them that they need water.

"So, I'm guessing the game plan is to find water?" Terry comments towards Wesley

"Yeah, that's the plan I've also left some more noose around the den so if we need more food maybe a rabbit will be stuck." Wesley points towards the den.

"Sounds good to me, so I say we get going now while we got energy and since it's around noon, we should make good time of sun." Terry looks East

"Agree we need to make headway before night." Wesley walks up behind Terry and starts walking East.

"Let's go then." Colton walks Infront ready for anything.

The group can be seen walking east each using the spear as a walking stick for they have been walking for 3 hours. Each on the verge of dehydration they continue hoping that the grass is greener on the other side.

"If there's no water, I think I might just drink my own piss instead." Colton who's still Infront painfully looks down as if he already about to do the deed.

"You know Colton that's really gross but just this once I think we might be on the same page." Sam looks down as well as if accepting that he has to do it.

"Please guys don't worry we'll be fine we've been going down for a while so a body of water shouldn't be hard to find in too long." Wesley tries to lighted the mood.

"That's what you said an hour ago." Colton grumbles.

"Just you wait and see my friendly giant." Wesley chuckles along with the rest of the group.

Right as they make to the edge of the hill they look down. And lucky for them the grass is greener on the other side for they found, a river! Expect the river is only the width of a normal street road but still a river is a river.

"Water!" Terry and the boy's scream

Rushing down the ridge the roommates start running as if they never seen water in their life before. Taking a drink, the boys rejoice in happiness.

"You're as beautiful as the day I lost you." Terry takes a deep drink and soaks in the beautifulness of H2O.

After taking a drink Terry looks around for, he was so focus on the water that he forgot to look around.

'Well, it's a little different from where we were before this place is hillier.' Terry can be seen look at the hill they came down from along with a hill on the other side of the river.

lucky the river quite clear so he also able to see fish swimming in the water. Which is great because now they have a food source along with water.

'This place is prefect for us so let's make this place our living ground. And why'll were here we can look for other people.' Terry thinks back to when they were still at home.

'You know I wonder did the sinkhole stop forming after a while or is the whole earth just gone? And if the earth is still there then where are we? I know I'm in the sinkhole but where did the sinkhole take us? I guess this could be some upstate park, but I don't know about that.'

Terry after having his needs complete has time to think about where they are and what really happen to them. Cause him to get a sense that there's more to this than meets the eye.

'Ahh who cares about that I just want a nice bed to sleep in tonight.' Terry walks down the river a bit seeing if he can find anything out of normal.

'That's a bush with berries same as the last one. Same tree, same water, same fish. Man can't there be something new around here like i don't know a water fall or something.'

As luck would have its Terry would find something new expect not what he wanted to find. Instead, he found a bear, a big old grizzle bear.

Seeing the bear Terry freezes in place as if he's playing dead. Terry on the outside looks he's about to shit himself and on the inside. 'SHIT SHIT SHIT SHIT!' Terry is shiting his thoughts.

The bear who's swimming in the river is luckily going away from Terry but still if the bear catches wind of Terry he's dead. So, Terry slowly makes way back to the group after making sure the bear is out of site beforehand.

'I got to tell the guys because we might be in danger if we don't be careful enough.' Terry runs back to the group seeing Terry running towards them the grab their spears each ready to fight whatever made Terry run.

"Guys relax it's gone it went down stream." Terry tries to catch his breath "It was a bear, downstream it's hold up."

"Ahh hell nah, you for real?" Colton looks that employee that didn't get pay enough for this.

"Yes, for real." Terry sits down 'Damn I'm out breath.'

"How far way where you." Wesley asks

"About a mile from here." Terry pushes his spear into the ground to pull himself up.

"Don't worry about the bear it shouldn't come near us as long as we go the opposite direction." Terry starts to drink some water from the river.

"Agree, let's head about a mile down river we should be safe there." Wesley and the boys start making their way down river.

After walking down a mile the boys get to an open area prefect for their soon to be base for the foreseeable future. At this point the time is about 3 or 4 allowing them enough light to make a quick base of operations.

During this time the boys pick basic resources like sticks, flint, tuff grass, leaves, and tree sap which they put on some leaves like it's paste. After that they decide they need to make shelter for the night, so they come up with a plan.

"Ok so I got a plan, the plan is simple first we need tools so we can get some logs for shelter. I'm going to show you guys how to make the tools then after that you each are going to have to make, you're own. The reason being is that I have a hunch that if we can learn how to craft things now maybe in the future especially Sam so if we have to make things that are specify for the system maybe this experience will help us.

After getting some tools Terry will start setting up traps for small animals so we can get some fur. Colton will get us logs and Sam will help me build the shelter." Wesley looks at each of us making sure we each understand. "You got that?"

"Yup" Terry

"Yes Sir" Sam

"You're the boss" Colton

"Alright let's get a move on it now then." Wesley walks over and starts picking up stick's leaves tuff grass and sap from trees.

Wesley starts to make a hatch by taking a Y shape stick and taking a nice-looking flint stone from the riverbed. He then lodges the flint into the middle of the Y shape stick and places tree sap as a glue to glue down the stone.

He then takes the leaves and tuff grass and ties it to a big piece of wood that's been place in the ground. Wesley then starts to twist the leaves and tuff grass making a hobo looking piece of rope which he ties around the stone in the Y shape stick to hold down the stone.

Wesley takes another flint stone starts to sharpen the stone on the Y shape stick turning it from just a Y shape into a real makeshift hatch. Finishing up the hatch the Wesley says the words.

"Item Description" And out pops a blue screen.

"This will be the bar for hatches I show you the other tools then you guys can get started on your own." Wesley Then shows how to make the other tools like a pickaxe shovel and fishing rod.

Seeing Wesley's system, the boys can't help being happy for the fact that one of did it. One of them level up!

"Good job West." Terry pats Wesley on the back

"That's for sure." Colton also pats his back

"Good job bud." Sam gives him a thumbs up

"Thanks guys." Wesley scratches his back of his head.

"Tonight, just for you West I'll catch a big old fish for you being the first to Lv 2" Colton walks towards the river with the fishing rod in hand.

"And I'll get you those tools made right away so that we can have a place to sleep with a roof over our heads." Sam walks off to the pile of things getting right into the making of tools.

'I guess I should be cool and also walk off as if I'm in a montage ready to make some long-needed progress.'

"I'll be back as well just like the rest of them." Terry walks towards the tuff grass and leaves along with the sap ready to make some nooses just like how Wesley did.

'It's time, time to start surviving.' Terry then focus in and gets the going.
