"WHY AM I IN ISSEI'S ROOM?!" He exclaimed in a frightened tone, his eyes wide as he looked around and recognized the familiar space he had seen since he was young.
Kentaro got out of bed, looked at his hands, and tried to find any changes that had occurred in his body, but… nothing had changed; it was just his own body from the start.
He decided to walk over to a mirror in his closet and look at himself until he noticed something different. He climbed up on the bed to get a better angle in the mirror, and there were no drastic changes.
"This is a dream. I'll just pinch myself, and everything will be fine!" he exclaimed with conviction, and he decided to pinch himself to see if the pain would make him wake up in the real world.
The more he pinched himself on the arm, nothing came of it. Banging his head against the wall didn't change anything, nor did putting a scary image on the television next to him wake him up.
"It definitely didn't change anything…" He said with a confused tone as he sat on his bed trying to absorb everything that was happening around him.
A few minutes passed, and he turned his head towards his bedroom window and looked out at the sky, which was a graceful light blue as if there was no high level of pollution.
He stood up and walked over to the window to get a better look at the city he used to watch in the anime when he was younger.
"I just slept, and suddenly… I woke up here." He reflects in his mind as he looks out the bedroom window and appreciates the environment outside.
The environment and scenery outside was exactly like the DxD world he had seen in his happy moments when he was a pre-teen, he felt he could really connect with the world and the characters in it.
His mind could only think of one thing now that could possibly lead him to the real world, to look for answers and find out how he was going to continue on his way now.
He decides to walk to the room's exit door and realizes that the stairs to go down are different from the ones in his house. Instead of being a straight descent, it was a two-sided descent… where he went straight down and then turned left to get to the middle of the house.
Then he slowly descended the stairs and looked around the walls of his house, which were dark because he hadn't reached the main room.
Seconds later, he appears in the main room and sees two people sitting on a sofa—it's them: Gorou Hyoudou and Miki Hyoudou, Issei Hyoudou's blood parents.
Kentaro is startled to see them watching television in a high state of tranquillity and realizes that it is not their real son who is at home.
"Hi son, up so early?" Miki said in a sweet voice as she looked at Kentaro with the beautiful smile of a welcoming mother.
For his part, Kentaro was shocked to be noticed by Issei's mother and to be called her son, which made no sense to him.
"I… I'm your son? What do you mean?" He said in a frightened tone, his voice cracking as he couldn't believe what he was hearing from that woman.
Kentaro climbed down all the steps and stood behind them since his parents had their backs to him.
"What kind of question is that, kid? Did you have a drink yesterday, just in case?" Gorou asked as he laughed at his own son for looking so crazy this morning.
As Gorou laughed to hear that, Miki gave him a small smile as she calmed her husband, who was laughing so hard that he was worried he might have a heart attack.
"Well... definitely not. I think I just slept badly." he said with a slight shyness on his face, and his voice became low with embarrassment.
Gorou and Miki stood up and watched their son from the living room, smiling at his waking up early to see his family.
Kentaro approaches the two of them, walking normally, and he is quickly embraced affectionately by the two of them, without having a plausible reason… but that, in fact, they had a very great love for their son.
"Kentaro Hyoudou, you're a gentleman... you should say 'good morning', shouldn't you?" asked Miki, hugging her son on the right side of the shoulder.
Kentaro felt an enormous tingling sensation on his face because of the shame he was feeling, but he agreed with her completely afterward… and understood the situation he was facing.
"Good morning, Mom and Dad, I need to get ready for school now, okay?" He returned his mother's request with a slight smile on his face and told her his current goal.
His parents stroke their son's hair and nod their heads in the understanding of his current obligation, then return to the sofa quietly to watch television.
"Good lessons, son, just make sure you don't date too much, okay?" quipped Gorou, raising his hand to Kentaro while letting out a few infectious laughs to brighten his day.
However, Kentaro's right eye twitches in surprise at hearing this from his own father. In the end, he laughs a little and goes back to his room in search of his school uniform.
In his closet, he searches for the Kuoh Academy uniform that he would wear every day during his school career, where he would meet both his two perverted best friends and the beautiful girls he would go on adventures with
He quickly went downstairs and ran to the exit door of the house and felt the breeze and the atmosphere outside, where this time, instead of being entertained... he would live in this world
"The goal is at stake, Rias... wait for me." Kentaro said in his mind as he looked up at the sky, his hair flying in the breeze as he prepared for a new journey.
