Dungeon WAR: Raising goblins as a dungeon

It has the ability create life as thought it was a measly feat. With its power it can destroy worlds and create civilisations. It exists everywhere, where you step, what you see and what you breath is part of it. One can say it's not only omniscient and omnipotent, but omnipresent as well. But what is It? A deity? No, it's a dungeon. ... A young man from earth has found himself reincarnated as a dungeon. In this new world, he is now but a child. Armed with nothing else but his genius creation capability, come watch him as he struggles to survive this world where his kind are treated as nothing but tools. "Hmm? Another group of adventurers is sent to close me down?" He laughed. "Clearly, they didn't understand when i killed all of their armies... wait, that boy has a good looking soul. Why don't I turn him into a slime?" From the deepest pits of the dungeons, terrifying creatures awoke as they had been ordered by the creature they live in. Be the strongest dragons living in the deepest levels of the dungeon, to the weakest goblins only known for being cannon fodder. Each of these creatures got up to greet the newcomer, because he ordered them to.

Chapter 61: Studying kobolds

With the kobolds pride beaten down, all that was left was their hope to be crushed.

But such a job was not the child's. The tamer gremlins will take care of that. As all the knowledge they needed to get going was all in their minds.

And while they are doing that, the child will focus on another side of the kobolds that only he can handle.

And that was, of course, their bodies. To be exact, it's all the things that make them special. Like their telekenetic communication, their regeneration, their strength, and most importantly, their ability to transform.

All of these things were like candies at the shop, and the child was like... Well, a child who didn't know which one to pick first.

Each of these aspects about the kobolds were great parts he wanted in his goblins. That's right, the child wanted to take these special parts about the kobold and copy them to the goblins.

"The telekenetic communication can give my goblins an edge when it comes to coordination and silent communication. Back on earth, soldiers used to give each other signals on a mission to replace speech. But with this, my goblins won't need to learn a language to communicate.

Regeneration ability needs no introduction, as with it, my goblins could last longer in war. Plus, if the goblins are still mid-battle, they could heal even without coming back to the core to get healed.

Then there is their transformation ability. Although I am not like one of those game-like dungeons back on earth, It is really interesting to think of a last boss monster that could transform at the last minute when the so-called adventures are mid-battle."

The child could even imagine it: a group of adventurers were battling one of his hobgoblins and were close to actually winning when suddenly...

boom!

The hobgoblin transforms into an ogre, fully regenerated and everything.

Anyway, with the knowledge the had acquired from the current kobolds and the transformed wolf alpha, the child had a few ideas that seemed like they could work.

For instance, the regenerative ability is mainly due to a certain resource that I produced natively on this world. So if the child could find the resource, he would have a higher chance of replicating the high regeneration.

But there are a few problems that hinder him from easily integrating these special abilities. For instance, the ability to regenerate and transform has something to do with the moon. Making it such that the kobolds transform during the full moon.

The problem here is that the moon isn't just a giant ball floating in the sky when it comes to this universe. It is also something called a concept.

Meaning it has a mystical meaning rather than just physical existence. Because of this mystical meaning, certain terms usually appear in worlds that make it such that on a full moon, something would occur or can happen. In another world, you might find that a certain spell or ritual can only be used when there is no moon in the sky. While on another world, people pray to the moon to gain powers.

It is this mystical Meaning that makes the moon an unscientific object. Something beyond normal mortal understanding and comprehension.

A concept.

Well, because of this concept, the kobolds somehow borrow power from the moon and transform into giant wolves each full moon.

Why?

The child still does not know, but he was following the trail and getting there.

And the method he found to be most likely to succeed would be something he calls synchronizing.

As said before, consciousness and the body have something akin to a frequency. This frequency makes it such that consciousness cannot be easily implanted in a body that is not specifically made for it.

So one can assume that each consciousness has a unique frequency. But this frequency trouble doesn't stop there, as apparently there is another frequency. And this frequency separates consciousness from species.

Meaning that even if he creates a goblin body specific for a certain consciousness, as long as that consciousness isn't a goblin's, it will reject the body.

This of course has not been a problem with the goblins an their subspecies as they stem from the same creature. But this has been a bit of an annoyance to the child.

As It was the only thing that has been stopping him from just killing a few animals in the forest and bringing them back to extract their consciousnesses. After that, he would make them bodies and implant the consciousnesses there. This would thus save him on a lot of energy cost.

But because of this species rejection, the child could not do that. But it was because of this rejection that another possibility was opened.

"If I could tune the goblin bodies according to what I can feel from a foreign species' consciousness, I may be able to create a new type of goblin that is in between the two species. And since they would be in between, the new species' consciousness would not reject the body."

It was a great idea. An idea the child had long thought of. But there was a single problem that had long prevented him from implementing this idea.

The goblin kind and the few creatures he has found are too different. Even if the child was able to tune, tweek, and turn the goblins until he had a body that wouldn't reject a foreign consciousness, it would take too long. And the results won't necessarily be a success.

For instance, if a child tried to change the goblins to fit the horned rabbit's consciousness, the results may be some weird amalgamation that would have no use whatsoever. This was because the two creatures were not so combatable. And forcing it would not yield good results. As such, his plans to fuse the goblin race with other creatures were put to a halt.

That is, until now.

Because after the last battle with the kobolds, he found out that the kobolds have a frequency quite close to that of the goblins. That means that tuning the goblins to fit a kobold consciousness would not take too long and would require less energy.

"Well then, let's see what a goblin and kobold fusion looks like, shall we?"
