A relentless, raspy gasp filled the room, punctuated by the rhythmic beeping of medical monitors. Seung's eyes snapped open, immediately locking onto a brightly colored hospital poster on the sterile white wall. He pushed himself up, feeling the soft weight of a blanket slide off his body, the steady beeps of a life monitor keeping time beside him.
"Why am I here?" he whispered, anxiety tightening his chest. He ripped off the IV plaster from his palm, wincing as a sharp pain shot through his hand. Ignoring it, he jumped out of bed and flung open the brown wardrobe to his left. As expected, his clothes were neatly placed inside. Quickly, he changed out of the hospital gown and into his casual clothes.
