Nature's challenges

(N/A: And the name chosen was Muffin, a funny name for a flame wolf.)

After those interviews that took a long time, I returned to my apartment, putting all my clothes in the inventory, as well as some medicines and supplies. I had an idea for training before trying to raid the Dungeon.

[Ready? I will take you to this place. get ready...] So everything came to a clear light. I left the cupcake and muffin at home; this training will be done by myself.

I was in front of ruins and these structures... they are so similar to my old world; every time I walked through it, I found more traces of it, but there was no one around, just animals and vegetation taking over everything.

[In this world, humans disappeared without leaving a trace, so the planet went through several stages in the years that have passed; now this place is just a world taken over by nature; well, your challenge will be to reach the lost temple; I will take away all your powers as you requested.] She soon teleported me again. In front of me was a gigantic mountain of snow. My strength began to disappear, until I felt like I did in my past world again. If I want to gain more strength and resistance, why not try to go through different situations and improve with the difficulties you face?

So I prepared myself for this by going towards this mountain. It seemed like it would be easy, so I just used my nails to grab it and start the first climb. Things were actually a bit complicated thanks to my not knowing how to climb properly. The first steps are always the easier ones, and the cold started to intensify as I climbed, thus arriving in a more stable area to walk.

"I have a long way to go." I looked up, keeping a smile on my face. I wasn't wearing suitable clothes for this, and i planned to gain skills in the midst of all this.

[You're kind of crazy to do this, but I must admit it's a viable way to increase your stats.] The system was my only company, so it started to rise. The cold was intense, and I could feel every part of my body freezing over time.

The more I climbed, I noticed that the places were getting narrower and less firm, so I had to opt for a more dangerous path. Jumping on the parts with openings in the wall, I started climbing again. My nails were firm and strong, but even so, my fingers hurt and were starting to bleed thanks to the cold, but that's not why I'm giving up.

A sound of something breaking echoed around the place, where I only saw a rock heading towards me. I jumped to the side to try to escape, but I ended up hitting my leg on one of the rocks there, holding my mouth to avoid letting out a grunt of pain. My body was much more resistant thanks to the characteristics of my hybrid race, but it still hurts to hit my knee.

[Your fitness is improving; your lungs can now improve the air you breathe.] This is something new; I didn't know that such simple features could be improved, but the air is much more comfortable to breathe. It's still not very ideal, but it helps.

I turned my attention to the skeleton, which was starting to climb again. I put more strength into continuing to climb, and when there was no way to go straight, I jumped to an area that had ways to climb again. I could feel that I was improving.

So, starting to get close to a cave, I felt that something was wrong, so I went into it. All I found was debris from what appeared to be a camp. I started to see what was of value in this place, finding an already decomposed body of a human; his neck was destroyed, his skull had a hole, and on his body he had a broken pocket watch, a very old style.

"I love these pocket watches; I'll keep them as a souvenir, but first." I took the remains of the man, who at his side had a destroyed piece of paper. The system just watched her reconstruct the image; it was that of a man and two children. I already knew what was going on, taking him out of the cave, starting to excavate a place, and burying his body.

[You didn't have to do that, you know, don't you?] She said, finding my actions strange, that for someone who killed all those dinosaurs to do such an act was strange.

"You know, people are hypocritical, but I thought he should at least have a proper burial." This is how i ended, taking a stone and placing it in the pit, walking back towards the cave.

[Taylor is delighted by your kind action; he wishes you good luck on your journey.] So he saw this? Heh, I hope you and your family are doing well then.

The cold was intensifying as night fell, the air becoming more difficult to breathe even with the improvement in my breathing, but I couldn't just give up on this; if I'm going to do something, let it be until the end!

[After finding your conviction, a new status was added: determination.] This adventure is delivering more and more interesting things. I could hear the other system messages about the increases in my base stats, thanks to pushing my body to the limit in these conditions.

The mountain was scary and managed to look imposing; the whole place was dangerous in addition to the terrible traps that nature proposed; some goats still pass through the place; the view from up here is beautiful; you can see the sunset from here; those ruins An abandoned city was lit up in the orange light of the afternoon. I felt more excited to see what this place could give me, so I headed towards an opening there, perhaps a new cave. I could see something reflecting from there.

"But...what the fuck is that supposed to be?" In front of me were several corpses; only their armor remained, even if it was completely rusted and deteriorated. So many destroyed weapons and these clothes—were they Mongols?

[I... I'm as confused as you; this place is getting stranger and stranger; everyone has disappeared in a strange way, and the only human traces are their buildings and the corpses of people who died before their disappearance. Among the things on these corpses, I found gold and more destroyed weapons. They are useless to me, but they had so many ancient artifacts that it looked like something from a museum.

"The training is fun, but... I feel excited to discover more of what this world has to offer. I always wanted to explore the world and look for abandoned monuments, but money and fear of death kept me away from that." I continued my journey. I saw that there was a path underneath, but I had to dive. The system checked if there was an exit and confirmed it, so without thinking twice, I dived. The cold water was intense, as if it were going to freeze me from the inside out.

I started to break the wood in front of me; they served to block the exit from the place, and after breaking everything and leaving this cave, something new was in front of me. A huge crater was in front of me, and ruins of what seemed to be the same as the people tribal were there, but when I looked up, I could see two capsules heading towards it; they looked like the ones the Saiyans used. I can't stay away from fights anyway.

I didn't expect much starting to go down, but instead of going safely, I just took a board that I had in my inventory and went skiing down. That feeling is so vivid and encouraging!

Your determination improves. I then went down to the end, jumping from the board that fell from the cliff. My body went towards the temple, and to avoid falling into the abyss, I held on to the gaps, starting to slowly climb up.

[You are crazy!] She screamed and the voice echoed in my head, where she soon continued to speak [I know I can give you back your strength, but at least be aware!] The system said it in a worried and stressed way. It's a cute reaction, honestly, but it doesn't matter at the moment. When I climbed further, I was in front of one of the entrances to this place, and in the distance, I could see several capsules descending from the sky, next to a huge spaceship.

"We will have company... I hope they are not enemies, but if they are, I will crush them all." The air was improving thanks to my "skill" of improving the air I breathe through my lungs; it is not a real skill but rather a physical improvement.

But when I looked at the men who were coming out of the capsules, I knew they weren't good people; they were wearing Frieza's uniform.

[This place we are in is just a parallel reality of Dragon Ball; the planet is the same as our old world, but this bizarre event happened in addition to characters like Frieza existing.] What bad news...but at least I'll have something to fight with; my journey will have to be delayed.
