Chapter 2: Frieza's Second Invasion

Since that day, John has been training with Joe every day. Each time, Joe would end up with a bruised nose and swollen face. Although Android 18 thought that some training was necessary, she also felt that John was being a bit too harsh.

However, Android 18 didn't know the reason behind Joe's sudden change in behavior.

Finally, under Android 18's persuasion, Joe admitted his mistakes and reconciled with Trunks, Goten, and the others.

Seeing Joe admit his mistakes, John let out a sigh of relief. He was also pained by the way he had to discipline Joe.

However, as father and son, the situation had become tense. To maintain his father's dignity, John couldn't be the first to back down.

One day, Beerus and Whis came to Earth as guests. They were all in Bulma's garden, enjoying the food and chatting.

Suddenly, Bulma's phone rang. When she answered, she found it was Trunks calling.

"Hey, Trunks, what's up?" Bulma asked, while waving her hand to greet her daughter, Bra, who was in her arms.

"Hi, Bra!" Trunks greeted his sister first, then reported to Bulma, "Mom, someone broke into your lab."

"What!" Bulma was furious when she heard that her lab had been burglarized. She then said, "Check what's missing and who the thief is, and call the police."

Trunks opened his computer and pulled up the surveillance footage, showing it to Bulma. "Mom, I just compared the footage and found that the Dragon Balls you collected and a Dragon Radar are missing."

"What, they stole my Dragon Balls and radar! Did you find out who the thief is?" Bulma continued to ask.

Trunks rewound the surveillance footage and stopped at two figures, then zoomed in on the image.

Trunks said, "Mom, these are the thieves. They don't look like Earthlings. They are wearing battle suits similar to Dad's, so they are probably aliens."

"Aliens!" John and the others immediately gathered around to listen.

Vegeta said, "If I'm not mistaken, they are probably Frieza's army. It seems Frieza is still obsessed with immortality."

John and the others didn't care much about immortality because even if they died, they could still take their physical bodies to hell.

The most important thing was that if they died, they could remain young in hell, which was arguably better than being alive. So, for John and the others, being alive wasn't such a great thing.

Bulma said, "Fortunately, I only collected six of the seven Dragon Balls. I never collected the last one."

"Why didn't you collect it, Bulma?" John asked curiously.

Bulma replied, "Because the last Dragon Ball is on the icy continent in the far south. It's too cold, so I never went to look for it."

Vegeta loudly said, "In that case, let's go to the icy continent. If Frieza can be resurrected once, we can kill him again."

Bulma looked hopefully at Beerus and Whis and asked, "Lord Beerus, Whis, are you coming with us?"

Whis immediately saw through Bulma's intentions and said, "I'll go with you to see what's happening."

But Beerus thought Bulma was hoping he would come and asked, "Is there any good food on that icy continent?"

Bulma asked, "Does ice and snow count?"

"Ha, no good food, I'm not going," Beerus said, then lay back on the lounge chair and enjoyed his food.

Bulma was delighted when Beerus said he wasn't going. She handed her daughter, Bra, to Beerus and said, "This is great. Then, Lord Beerus, please take care of her for a bit."

After that, Bulma led everyone to the nearby airplane.

Beerus looked at Whis, who was following behind, and angrily said, "Whis, did you see this coming?"

Whis quickly denied it, "Lord Beerus, don't be silly. I just want to see what Frieza is wishing for with the Dragon Balls."

"Alright, Lord Beerus, please take good care of Bra. I'll be back soon, and I'll tell you about the fun things that happen."

Bulma drove the airplane and took everyone to the icy continent in the south.

On the plane, after a brief chat, the conversation turned to Bulma's reasons for collecting the Dragon Balls.

Goku asked, "By the way, Bulma, why are you collecting the Dragon Balls this time? What wish do you want to make?"

When Goku asked, Bulma didn't want to answer at first, but she couldn't resist everyone's curiosity. She had to say, "I'm collecting the Dragon Balls to become five years younger."

When Goku heard Bulma's wish, he was first surprised, then burst into laughter, saying, "Bulma, you're actually wishing for that, ha ha!"

Bulma immediately said, "Do you think I'm like you Saiyans, who don't have to worry about aging!"

At this point, Whis curiously asked, "But why only five years? Why not wish for more youth?"

"Ah, Whis, you don't understand the current society. If you become five years younger, people will think you have a good lifestyle. But if you suddenly become much younger, people will think you had plastic surgery."

Whis was speechless when he heard Bulma's explanation.

On a distant spaceship, the resurrected Frieza was sitting at the command console, quietly watching the star system in front of him.

At this moment, a toad-faced subordinate, Ginyu, rushed in, excitedly shouting, "Lord Frieza, we have already stolen six Dragon Balls, and we are now collecting the last one."

"Lord Frieza, should we go to Earth now?"

Frieza nodded but rejected his subordinate's suggestion, saying, "No, we will go to Earth after all seven Dragon Balls are collected. It's still too dangerous to go now."

"Although they don't have a Dragon Radar, they can sense the presence of ki. So, if a strong person approaches, they will be detected."

Ginyu understood Frieza's point and nodded in agreement.
