Namek

God, this entire planet was so confusing...

As soon as I landed here, I noticed that it was... green. I know that it sounds stupid, but there was no other way to put it, it was just green.

There were no distinguishing markers or anything around this place. Even if you had a very detailed map to navigate around the planet, you'd get lost instantly because everything looked exactly the goddamn same as it did two minutes ago.

I had been flying around for about five-ish minutes, and I'm ninety percent sure that I had passed the same plateau like six times, and I had my Ki sense to guide me around this entire time.

The only way I knew for certain that I was even going the correct way was because the energy I had been sensing and using as a marker had been getting closer as time went on.

I could just use Kai Kai, but I didn't want to suddenly just pop out of nowhere on an alien species.

Then again, Goku did it...

Sure, I could kill them all with all of my limbs tied behind my back, but I'm not exactly fond of causing the mass genocide of an entire race unless I had to.

...Or unless I was bored...

God, I need to stop hanging around Cooler...

I've destroyed so many star systems and planets that I think I've just become numb to just how fucked up all of it really was.

I mean I've killed families, children...

All of them added up to the hundreds of millions by this point... probably even billions...

Is it really alright for me to- Oh, hey, I see the village!

About damn time. I was getting bored.

Y'know, on hindsight, maybe landing right in the middle of them instead of on the outskirts of their village may have been an even dumber idea than just teleporting.

The villagers were both shocked and frightened by my sudden appearance, which was understandable.

They stood there, looking at me with caution as one of them ran into one of their building.

If I had to wager, he was probably fetching the Elder of their village. At least I think that's what the leaders of villages call themselves. All I have to go on is my very foggy memory and the fact that Guru was called Grand Elder Guru.

I wonder if outsiders could become Elders if they were generally accepted by the Namekian people.

They seemed like a nice enough race to allow something like that. Then again, I don't exactly have a pure heart. If anything, my heart would be stained pitch black considering all the people I murdered.

It's why I kept my energy from leaking out from my body. I don't know how exactly that whole "sensing evil" nonsense works, but I have a feeling that it had something to do with the energy that your body produces.

"Are you an alien?" I hear a small voice ask.

I look down and I see a small Namekian child standing right in front of me.

Hearing the shocked murmurs around me, it's safe to assume that he wasn't exactly supposed to be going up to the alien stranger that randomly flew into his village and start asking questions.

"I guess I would be, yeah." I told him as I knelt down.

"You guess?" He asked.

"See, from perspective, you guys are the aliens." I replied.

"What does perspective mean?" He asked.

Oh right, child. My mistake.

"It means from my point of view." I answered before motioning to his fellow villagers. "You all see me as an alien, but since I'm not from here, I see you guys as the aliens. That make sense?"

"Oooh!" The child muttered in realization before nodding his head.

"Poda! Come!" A deep voice suddenly sounded out.

I look up and see an old looking Namekian, who for some reason seems very familiar to me.

The child runs off towards the Elder, who places a hand on the child's head before sending him towards another Namekian.

The Elder looks back at me with an inquisitive gaze before asking, "Are you friend or foe...?"

"Friend." I answered.

It wasn't technically a lie. I wasn't going to do anything to them. Not unless they strike first, of course.

Or deny me the Dragon Balls.

"What is your purpose here... um...?" He paused, waiting for me to give him my name.

"Zyleth." I introduced myself with a small bow of my head.

"Zyleth..." He repeated, putting my name to memory. "What is your purpose here, Zyleth?"

"I was hoping if it was possible for me use your Dragon Balls." I replied.

My reply caused the Namekians listening to whisper amongst themselves, which only quieted down when their Elder raised both his hands and politely motioned for them to stop.

"What is it that you want from our Dragon Balls, Zyleth?" He asked.

Christ, there's not enough time in the day...

But I should probably stick to just one answer, and try to grip them emotionally somehow with it. Sympathy is always useful when talking to a kind-hearted race.

"I wish to revive someone from the Afterlife." I answered honestly.

His gaze seems to grow solemn before asking, "May I ask who this person is to you?"

"The friend of a friend." I replied.

It wasn't technically a lie. Shin was just a friend a hadn't met yet, and the person in question was certainly his friend.

Hell, he might start worshipping me as a god if I brought her back. Wouldn't that be a kick in the ass?

The Elder nods and ponders my words for a moment before letting out a sigh and saying, "I am Elder Moori."

Ah, no wonder he looked so familiar. I don't remember much about him, but I do remember that he was pretty integral to Dende becoming the next Guardian of Earth.

"And I would have gladly helped you revive your friend, but I'm afraid that my village's Dragon Ball alone will not be able to help you." He says.

"I know, you need all seven to summon the dragon." I nodded.

"You already know?" He asks, surprised at my knowledge of how the Dragon Balls work. "Then you also know that the other Dragon Balls are scattered around in different villages, and that you cannot wish upon them for you do not know the Namekian Language."

"I was hoping to find one of you who would be able to help me with that as I travel around Namek." I told him.

"I see..." He muttered, taking a moment to think before saying, "There... is another way that I may help you..."

He walks into one of the houses and comes back out a few seconds later, holding the six-star Namekian Dragon Ball.

"Follow me. I will take you to see that Grand Elder."
