Interlude-Chen Xin

Three years before.

It was a calm day and Chen Xin was practicing his swordsmanship. Ning Fengzi had gone out and it was that old thing Gu Rong's turn to go with him.

Weirdly enough they were already back, they were coming towards him, a lot sooner than usual.

The Sect master was walking with his usual smile, though he could spot that he was a bit happier than usual. Gu Rong too, though he tried to look indifferent.

"Uncle Sword! I have good news for you!"

"For me?" he raised his eyebrow, since the last of his family died he hadn't particularly cared about anything besides the sect.

"Ohh? Fengzi, it looks like Old Sword isn't interested... Let's go, our trip back has been for nothing" Gu Rong said, pretending to be annoyed.

"Old Bone! Who said I don't want to know?! Don't interrupt while Fengzi and I are speaking." Chen Xin couldn't let himself fall behind, so he responded.

Ning Fengzi looked amused, if a tad resigned "Uncle Sword, Uncle Bone, must you always be like that?"

"Humph" both snorted, Fengzi couldn't help but sigh, these two elders behaved like children when they were together, that was actually the greater reason why one always stayed behind when he left the sect. They would ruin their own reputation otherwise.

The sect master continued, as if he never had been interrupted "Our members in Soto discovered something. We suspect that your family isn't quite as dead as we thought."

Chen Xin was shocked "What?!"

"Indeed, as you know when she passed through the area she was pregnant, at first we thought she lost the baby, but we found a white haired golden eyed child named Chen Jin in a small village. His adopted aunt works at one of our hotels. It was extremely lucky, or we wouldn't have found him." he continued." We aren't certain yet though"

It seemed Chen Xin didn't care. "Soto, right? I'll confirm it myself".

"Uncle Sword! Wai... He's gone" Ning Fengzi was truly happy for him, but he could at least let him finish.

Gu Rong laughed "Were you expecting any different? Old Sword was destroyed when it happened".

It was at noon that Chen Xin reached Soto, he went directly to the Seven Treasures before continuing on his way.

When he reached the medium sized village he immediately felt something weird. He went to above the forest, on the south side of the village.

And through the trees he saw it, a small white haired child with a sword shaped pendant on his hands. A Seven Killing Sword shaped pendant.
