Xu Fengyuan sighed.

Ever since his awakening, he had been locked in his room. Although they say that he was a guest, it was obvious that he was just a prisoner.

Now, all he could do was wait until Ha Luosa arrived with his "gift".

As if on que, a knocking sound could be heard from his door.

Why bother knocking when he could easily get in? Must be to set a pretense of courtesy.

When Xu Fengyuan opened the door, he was surprised to see two people entering his room.

Ha Luosa was expected but who was the man next to him?

The man looked like a good looking middle aged man, but since he could stand shoulder to shoulder with Ha Luosa, he couldn't be simple.

He could recognize the name of Ha Luosa because of how infamous he was and because the story of his background was widespread, but he couldn't fathom a clue to who the new man was.

Ha Luosa saw the curious look on Xu Fengyuan's face and smiled deviously.

"Aren't I really generous? It took a while to get the old man away from his plans and schemes to help train you. Although the old man is no where famous as me, he's still in his prime. He is Darkness Hummingbird, one of the four heavenly kings of the Holy Spirit Cult, and your new instructor."

Wait, Darkness Hummingbird?!?!

Although Darkness Hummingbird was the most least active of the four heavenly kings, he was known as the most vicious of the bunch. He was especially cruel, even when compared to the other kings, so you could tell what kind of person he is.

Darkness Hummingbird look at Xu Fengyuan with an look of interest, like he wanted to dissect Xu Fengyuan to see what made him special.

"It seems Ha Luosa has found a diamond in the rough this time. I hope you perform better then my useless daughter or you will join her soon."

Darkness Hummingbird's voice was cold, which contrasted with his good natured appearence.

Xu Fengyuan resisted the pressure emanating from Darkness Hummingbird, determined to stand his ground.

He understood from the moment Darkness Hummingbird entered the room, his test had begun. If he wanted to survive, he had to prove his worth.

Darkness Hummingbird had an expression of genuine surprise his face.

"You passed my first test with flying colors, but lets see if you survive the second. I'm not as laid back as Ha Luosa, and I will ensure your loyalty to the Holy Spirit Cult by any means necessary. "

Xu Fengyuan didn't understand the second part of the sentence, until a he felt a something piercing his abdomen. Looking down, he saw a pair of stakes lodged into his stomach.

This was Darkness Hummingbird's martial soul, Tail Stinger.

"Now that you have been poisoned by Tail Stinger, your under my control. Now you can't betray the cult unless you put your life forfeit."

Darkness Hummingbird coldly retrieved his martial soul as Xu Fengyuan's whole body crumpled into the ground.

"That is if you actually survive."
