Even with the Dark Devilgod Tiger core strengthening his body, his body was still to weak to be completely unaffected by the Evil attribute. Not only that, both of his martial souls were of opposite attributes, so it's a wonder how his body hadn't exploded yet.

Looking around, Xu Fengyuan saw the looks of excitement on Ha Luosa's face, and knew that his future was bleak.

Looking at the his martial souls, Xu Fengyuan was surprised. He recognized one as the Evil-Eyed White Tiger.

The White Tiger had a certain prestige in the world. It belonged to one of the legendary Shrek Seven Devils, and the Dai family had been giving birth to powerhouse's generation after generation.

It also meant that Xu Fengyuan was also a member of the Dai family. Could he be a bastard? That was the most likely case. The legendary Huo Yuhao, founder of the Spirit Pagoda was also a bastard that the White Tiger Duke had with a maid.

He had mostly guessed the origins of his first martial soul, but the other one was a mystery.

It highly resembled a Scorpion Tiger, but to Xu Fengyuan, it felt like it was much, much more. Both of his martial souls felt heavily connected.

Using this knowledge, Xu Fengyuan hypothesized that hid Scorpion Tiger martial soul, was actually the Dark Devilgod Tiger.

The Dark Demonic God Tiger is extremely powerful. In legends, it is a mutation that occurred as an evil god descended on the White Tiger, turning the White Tiger's light attribute into the Evil attribute, producing black wings of corruption, as well as sprouting a scorpion-like tail, the Devilgod Hook.

Generally speaking, Spirit Beasts all have a chance to become a humans martial soul, but the Dark Devilgod Tiger is an exception, and there has never been a human with it as a Spirit. This is because the Dark Devilgod Tiger actually doesn't have a mere darkness attribute, but rather the evil attribute left by the Devil god that cannot be endured by humans. If it were to be evaluated according to Spirit levels, then it would be considered the peak Spirit comparable to the Seraphim.

Although Xu Fengyuan thought it was unlikely, it was the most reasonable explanation. He must have awakened it because of the mysterious black core.

With this Martial Soul, the Federation would kill him even if he chose not to cultivate. Thus, Xu Fengyuan had no choice but to join the Holy Spirit Cult, especially with Ha Luosa right behind him.

Of course, he had no intention of telling Ha Luosa his conjecture, as that would be disadvantages towards him.

It was much better to hide it for later, when he escaped the Cult's control. Xu Fengyuan had no intention of being under anyone else's thumb, especially after his last life.

Ha Luosa continued to laugh, unaware of Xu Fengyuan's thoughts.
