After being 'consoled' by the system Richie spent the entire remaining day on comprehending the yin-yang harmonisation technique. Surprisingly, Richie's comprehensive speed was quite fast, he managed to comprehend about 0.01% of the technique's true essence. Don't look down on this percentage, the yin-yang harmonisation technique contains an extremely profound comprehension of alchemy, to comprehend even a sliver of it's true essence was an incredible feat.

- oh! I completely forgot about this- the system suddenly said

"what are alchemy tokens?" Richie asked the system

- it's just money for the system really, you can use it to buy things in the shop- the system replied.

Richie then willed for the shop to open, it did, the shop had a multitude of items, ranging in costs from 1 to 100 , each item was useful in it's own right, like the whirlwind talisman for 100 tokens. apparently it would cause a vicious whirlwind to circle around Richie's body, with the power to kill someone or something up to the 2nd realm easily.

There was even an option to just buy Gold straight up, 1 token for 100 gold goins. However, out of everything Richie had, (which was not a lot) the thing he needed the most was money, so he exchanged 100 tokens for 10 thousand gold coins, a sum comparable to the entire fortune of a low class family in the central city.

-why dont you try making some more healing paste?- the system suggested

-you can buy the ingredients needed in the system shop, it also takes gold coins by the way- the system suggested

"ah yes, I should, I can then see how much I've improved since last time."

" but also I've been meaning to ask you, what is the 'upgradeable cauldron for?"

- well, as the name suggests, you can upgrade it, by sending alchemy tokens on it, you can upgrade it and add special effects to it, eventually, it will become better than the hellfire cauldron, but now, you should practice with it as the more you use it, the chance to get legendary attribute will increase-

- you should start using it after you get into the alchemist guild- the system stated.

Richie then willed for the hellfire cauldron to appear before lighting the fire using the yin-yang harmonisation technique, a blue flame and a red flame both suddenly sparked into existence, they then fused creating a blue and red fire which gave of an air of power.

Richie then followed the instructions in the technique on how to control the fire, raising and lowing the temperature wherever he felt it was needed, much to the systems displeasure.

After a while Richie finally finished the paste, the furnace once again shook, as it was improving the pill, but just when Richie was about to collect the pill, the yin-yang harmonisation fire flared up, completely out of control, the fire then seemed to gain sentience as it rushed off into the healing paste, before dissipating completely.

"w-what happend to the paste?"

- oh wow, that's pretty lucky- the system noted

"that doesn't tell me what just happened though!"

- appraise it then, that's what you do when you dont know something-

"oh yeah" Richie then willed for the system to appraise the paste.

"Holy crap, this is so op! no wonder you said I got lucky, this thing can literally save my life in even the most precarious situations, Two whole realm, god damn" Richie was completely astounded by the special attribute, even the most powerful bloodline abilities or secret arts wouldn't even come close to besting the amount of power you can get from this, it didn't even have any side effect, how good was that!

Richie immediately purchased more ingredients from the system and made more healing paste, but sadly, none had the special attribute, but hey, they were all at a similar level to the healing paste before, if he were to sell them, he would be able to get a profit of nearly 45 gold coins ( the ingredients costed 5 gold coins)

"ugh I smell, Richie realised, he hadn't taken a shower in the last couple of days, he also needed food and new clothes.

Whilst cultivators can sustain themselves without food, eating food does relieve them of constantly usin qi to sustain themselves.

Tomorrow Richie was going to sharpen his alchemy skills and preferably concoct a pill, he was also going to buy some new clothes, but now, he was going to have a shower
