Alex started his presentation as images of a small device in exploded view could be seen by everyone. Bismuth Securities main product was portals and to make sure that they were safe to use. Afterall the number of portals across the planet was like a web of gates connecting each other.

This gate may collapse due to energy fluctuations or through advanced hacking etc. Alex's device helped to counter these problems eliminating the chance of cross teleportation or portal collapse by upto 4%.

The amount of accidents caused by such incidents was in billions in a single year. This web of portals extended across thousands of planets serving a total population of almost a trillion people all across Beljaris.

So if 4% of all those accidents could be avoided it was a huge deal but yet these accidents would only kill those not very powerful and no one cared about them much so it wasn't as big deal as ethically it should have been.

The presentation went till 5 in the evening. After carefully thinking about it and discussing with Jean Grey Roy decided not to exploit Alex as that would also mark their names in the good books of Matthew. So he offered Alex to sign a contract for 20 years giving him 0.1% of every portal fees paid to Bismuth Corp as a royalty.

Everyone was surprised by this offer after all the income of Bismuth corps from portals was in several trillions each year 0.1 % of a trillion was still too much and that too for 20 years. It was a golden deal. Yet when Alex spoke all them couldn't help but question whether Alex was really the genius who gave the presentation not long before.

"Mr. Roy your offer is really something but with all due respect I must deny it"

After pausing to sip some water from the glass he continued looking at Roy calmly "rather I have a counter offer suggesting you buy my product at a buy price of 50 billion credits"

Roy's eyes furrowed in contemplation, potentially the amount of money Alex could make from the royalty deal was near 200 billion so 50 billion was indeed a good buy offer from Alex but Roy couldn't help but wonder why would Alex do this afterall Alex was not someone in dire need of money or anything.

After giving it some thought he asked Alex again he would have already accepted the deal if it was someone else but his higher ups had clearly told him to face a loss if necessary but to form a good relationship with Alex.

Alex closed his eyes as if contemplating but internally he was smiling thinking to himself "hahaha by the time 20 years pass I am sure I will be able to buy the entire Bismuth Corporation if I want to. 200 billion would just be a pocket change by then but right now I need that money to grow fast also there's the matter of annexation on Beljaris by the empires" As soon as he thought about it he automatically clenched his jaws but soon he calmed down reminding himself, "now's not the time"

Alex finally shook his head showing as if he had made his decision, "Mr.Roy I am sure I want this but don't worry I will convey the Bismuth families sincere deal to my father. He will understand"

Roy's eyes glimmered ye he was almost wary of Alex now afterall Alex's words implied that he knew what Roy was most concerned about and told him not to worry about it. Roy couldn't believe a kid so small could perceive so far.

Without any delay Roy hurriedly responded, "Young master Alex's thoughts are indeed too deep for us to understand. The Bismuth Corporation accepts your proposal and hopes to work with you again in the future, also as a sign of goodwill please have this card master Alex it gives you free entry through all portals controlled by the bismuth family"

Sebastian did try to convince Alex to take the deal offered by Roy but failed to do so. At the end he just sighed, what Roy said was just to keep a polite front but he knew his disciple's thoughts were actually too deep to understand.

At the end of the deal Alex exchanged bank details with Roy with an advance payment of 5 billion already deposited in his account the same moment. As for the full payment it would be deposited 6 months later after the Bismuth company managed to produce and replicate portals with Alex's stabilizer in them.

This was perfect for Alex as in half year he would become 12 and would go to military school wherein he would be allowed to have his own bank account as he would be away from his home. This was also a reason why he wanted to go the military so as to manage his own money without announcing his purchases to his parent's.

After the official business was done Alex was also invited by Roy to a party that was going to be held by the Bismuth family on the weekend. Apparently it was the birthday of one of their heirs and only the young masters of of the city were invited.

Alex thought nothing about it and decided to go the party just to see if any worthy potential competitors of his generation existed. But Alex was in for a treat as the young masters that Roy mentioned were indeed prodigies but …. not necessarily in scientific studies.
