Chapter 29: Are You Satisfied?

Mrs. Nesta wasn't joking when she made that comment about Claudia going outside to pick weed in the hot sun.

There was a patch of weed growing at the back of the academic block and she was there uprooting them from the floor with her hands now.

There were a few tools meant to make this easier but since she was being punished, she was required to do it with her hands.

Lunch break was over but there were still a few students moving around and everything someone would walk past or toward her she would stare angrily at the floor while grumbling.

Also, the fact that she was behind the first years' classes wasn't making things any easier for her, some of them tried to peek at her but a death glare was enough to push them back.

"Seriously? The guy was the one bothering me, at least he should also be punished." She sighed before turning the weed she just pulled out of the ground into ash.

It had been a while since any student had walked past there and because of that, she was starting to calm down.

"I need to get this over with quickly."

She was just about to get serious when she caught a glimpse of someone coming toward the entrance of the building.

Blonde hair, and crimson eyes, those were features she couldn't miss.

"Arsha?"

Up until he got really close to the building, it seemed that he didn't spot her and she was expecting him to disappear inside the building when he suddenly shifted.

The two made eye contact at that moment but she was quick to break it as she turned her gaze back to what she was doing.

'Yeah, there's no mistaking that smell but what's she doing out here?' He said subconsciously as he made his way to her.

"Hey." He said just after stopping in front of her.

"I see you're having fun skipping class." She remarked her gaze still on the floor.

"I've already covered everything we have for Biology this semester and I don't need any revisions for now at least."

"You sure love bragging about your intelligence, huh."

"I think that's a strange thing to say since this is the first time I've told you about this. But anyway, I see you're out here picking weeds, what did you do?"

"Oh, Erwin was bothering me so I blasted him to the other side of class and when Mrs. Nesta confronted me about it, I responded nonchalantly, and now here I am." She disclosed.

"Looks like the latter is the real reason why you're out here," Arsha remarked before squatting down in front of her.

Now their faces were much closer.

"Yeah, but what are you doing?" She sounded a bit skeptical as she moved back a little.

"I want to give you a hand, what else does it look like?" He responded with a straight face.

It was obvious to most of his classmates that he didn't really know how to express himself that well, it was either that or he just liked keeping things that way, he always said everything with a straight face, and although he sounded a bit more friendly than usual at the moment, that remained the same.

Hearing him say that, Claudia pushed a bit further away from him before carefully scanning him with her eyes once again.

"You want to help me?"

'I thought it was strange that he would just approach me after seeing me out here but now he wants to help me? Is this really Arsha Logan?'

"Yeah, I know, I didn't stutter when I said it."

"I know but…."

"Are you still thinking about what happened the other day? If that's the case then I'm sorry." He apologized with a sincere tone to his voice. "To be honest you were the one that attacked me first but I guess I overdid it, I hope you accept my apology."

That one caught Claudia by surprise, she was stunned, petrified, and shocked beyond repair.

It wasn't just the fact that he actually apologized but he sounded sincere compared to the monotone way he normally spoke.

"How about we do this?" She said just after snapping out of her shock.

"Huh?"

"I think your apology is okay, it's not great but considering it came from you, it's passable, however, I'll forgive you if you help me clear all of this." She disclosed with a smile.

Arsha was honestly shocked by that condition but just as always, his face was expressionless.

'Is she high on something? I already agreed to do that. But I guess this makes things easier.'

"Very well then, but you might want to step back."

"Step back, why?" She inquired.

"You'll get wet if you don't." He responded before placing his right hand on the floor.

"Wait, you're not planning to…."

"Just step back, it'll be alright, I'm not planning to do anything dangerous."

"Alright." She sighed before slowly stepping to the side.

Now that she was out of the way, Arsha slowly closed his eyes and just before Claudia knew what was going on, they began to get blasted up.

With his ability, Arsha was able to set up tiny water jets below every single weed in the area and with that, he uprooted all of them effortlessly.

Claudia was beyond shocked and it was written all over her face.

"Your precision is something else, how do you even pull something like this off?" She inquired, her eyes filled with curiosity.

"If I explained it to you, you wouldn't really understand since you're not a water mage." He responded.

"Oh, I see, but thanks anyway." She said before proceeding to fry all the uprooted weeds on the floor. "This was supposed to take a lot of time but thanks to you I get to leave here earlier." She added as she stretched her arms.

"Well, you're welcome, and also, thanks for forgiving me." He said before turning to leave.

"No problem."

"Hey.."

He had only taken three steps forward when she called him and even though he stopped, he didn't turn to her.

"Can I ask you something?" She requested.

"If it's about Aqua then just forget it."

He sounded quite friendly just a few seconds ago but his voice had suddenly gone back to the cold and monotonous one she was more familiar with.

"Huh? And why's that?"

"Because it's none of your business." He retorted before continuing his walk out of the area.

Claudia just stood there with a confused expression on her face and greater was the confusion she felt inside.

'I thought he was finally coming around, there are a lot of nicer ways to say don't pry.'

Arsha had just gotten to the entrance to the building after a few seconds and just after letting out a sigh, he brought his watch close to his mouth.

"Are you satisfied now, sis?"
